Story
Jolene is a lovable, smart family dog. She is fantastic with children, was born into a family of youngins, toddler through teens, 5 of them. She is clever, and loves to explore and run free. Our other dogs are trained off leash, she will come back, when she feels. We make sure to be mindful when receiving packages or guests, for Jolene is keen on opportunities to be free. She would be happy in a home with children and other pets, though she does like her one on one attention. She has a good nose, and a desire to please.

Hello! I am new to the shelter! Please keep checking my profile for updates as the staff gets to know me better! If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog`s better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict. The Adoption Fee Includes:- initial canine distemper combination vaccination- first worming or stool check- rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age)- 24 Petwatch microchipping- flea treatment/preventative- spaying or neutering-heartworm testingAdoption fee: $135.00Per state law, ALL ADOPTERS must purchase a non-refundable 2025 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older. Story
Charlie is a mix of Beagle, and Im told ,Jack Russel terrier. He is full of energy and needs an active human. He loves his squeaky toys and plays fetch mostly with his pink hippo toy. I bought Charlie from a private seller on FB. Charlie is a very intelligent dog( I am not a good trainer 😞. Charlie traveled well, .Charlie has all shots . He knows commands sit, stop, drop it, stay, wait, and he is crate trained, while I work. He loves the parks . He needs a strong human to continue training. He is half house broken, meaning he goes out on leash and uses bathroom, but he doesn't alert to go out. He does like to chew things, but never wood or my furniture.., He loves his treats and will sit for them. He is used to being on my furniture and bed. My house is his house too. He loves to sleep under the covers.Charlie does need a vet visit, as he makes sound as if pulling on leash and choking.. I cant afford to get him checked out. Charlie is approx 28 lbs.. Born Oct.8th 2024.

Story
Milo (and his brother, Ace) are both looking for their forever home due to the passing of their former owner. They are currently residing at the Long Run Pet Hospital in Wheeling, WV, where they were surrendered.  Milo is 2 years old and a beagle/bulldog mix -- known as a Beabull. This breed mix is active, playful and make great companions and family dogs for an active person or family. Both Milo and Ace exhibit the quintessential beagle/mix with the happy personality and attentive tail to show enthusiasm. Milo is very energetic, curious and does well on a leash. He loves attention and returns it with a big smile.  Milo is a sturdy boy that would make a great companion for someone who not only commits to providing lots of playtime but also loves to snuggle and go for long walks for "all the sniffs." He would benefit from basic obedience classes to teach him good manners. He should do well with another dog of his size and playstyle but is far too energetic for cats and toddlers. Older, dog-savvy children may very well enjoy this beautiful boys as a snuggle buddy. Milo's soft, floppy ears and doggy smile are guaranteed to bring joy and laughter into your life. Milo is a courtesy post for the Long Run Pet Hospital. For more information or to arrange a meet, please call Long Run at 304-232-2605. May 12, 2025, 12:57 pm

Story
Hey there, I’m Rooney! I’m a 5-year-old Beagle/Redbone Coonhound mix, and while I might look like a potato or maybe even a hunting dog who’s enjoyed a few too many snacks, I’m so much more! I’m a loyal protector and a world-class couch potato, though, I’m currently on a 'fitness journey' to find my inner athlete again. My foster mom has me on this 'diet' food—I wasn't a fan at first, but hey, it grows on you! I currently weigh 67 lbs, but my ideal weight is probably more like 30-45 lbs. Right now, my goal is to shed 20 pounds so I can really zoom around the yard and enjoy the long walks I love. My doctor said I might be double my ideal weight, but my heart sounds wonderful and that makes me so happy. I’m a perfect house guest: house-broken, crate-trained, and I never touch 'human' stuff. However, if you give me a stuffed toy, consider that squeaker evicted—it’s my favorite hobby! I am such an easy going dog that gets along with every dog and human I meet, though tend to bark at anybody new so they know I'm in charge. I am neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and ready to be your best friend! I am looking for someone to continue my fitness journey so I can live a long and healthy life with unlimited snuggles on the couch. Do you think you're the one for me? Rooney is available now for adoption through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale Pa, 15144 KL#16182 ##2635977##

Story
Small Stature, Big Personality! Meet Your New Best Friend. Are you looking for a loyal companion who will fill your home with love and a little bit of sass? Look no further than Louie! This charming gentleman weighs 26 lbs and is estimated to be 8-years old.  He is a beagle with the cutest short little legs you’ve ever seen. Don’t let his age fool you—while he enjoys a good nap on the couch, Louie has a younger spirit and a spring in his step when it’s time to play. He is the perfect blend of "Netflix and chill" and "let’s sniff around the yard." Here’s why Louie is the perfect addition to your pack: · Low-Maintenance & Loving: Louie is generally easy-going and thrives on a routine. He loves his people unconditionally and is a professional-level cuddler. If you want a dog who will look at you with adoring eyes, he’s your guy.· Crate Trained & House Savvy: He is mostly house trained and knows that his crate is his safe space. Please note, he may have the occasional accident as he settles into a new home, but with a consistent schedule, he’ll be right on track.· Playful & Affectionate: He has a playful side! Whether it’s a gentle game of tug or carrying around a squeaky toy, he knows how to have fun and can easily entertain himself. Like many rescued dogs, Louie is still perfecting his gentlemanly manners. He is looking for an adopter who understands that the best relationships are built on patience. · Leash Walking: He is working on his leash walking skills. The world has so many amazing smells, and he sometimes forgets we are walking with him! He needs a patient human who will help him practice.· Dog Socialization: Louie is learning how to socialize with other dogs. He would do best in a home where his human understands dog body language and can help him have positive, calm introductions to new canine friends. If you are looking for a sweet, goofy, and loving companion who will follow you from room to room just to be near you, Louie is your guy. He has so much love to give and is ready to spend his future years as your faithful sidekick. Ready to meet this adorable, short-legged hunk? Note: Due to his need for patient leash training, a home with a securely fenced yard would be a bonus for Louie so he can sniff to his heart’s content. Louie is neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations. He will be available for adoption on or after 3/1/26 through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, Pa 15144 KL#16182 ##2667523##
