Story
Hi, my name is Phyllis I am an adorable little lady looking for a family. You need to work a little to get to know me! I can be shy at first, but very affectionate when I know you well. I walk like a lady on leash and have great manners all around. I don`t like other animals, but would enjoy having adult human friends. I am a true mama dog, I take care of the people I care about and will bark when I see a stranger. It`s hard being a mama dog with no family...it just doesn`t make sense! If you want someone to watch over you, give you unconditional love, and warm your heart forever, please come visit me today! If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog`s better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict. The Adoption Fee Includes:- initial canine distemper combination vaccination- first worming or stool check- rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age)- 24 Petwatch microchipping- flea treatment/preventative- spaying or neuteringAdoption fee: $135.00Per state law, ALL ADOPTERS must purchase a non-refundable 2024 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older. The cost of the license is $9.20. (Senior Citizen or Person with Disability-$7.20)Leash and collar included

Story
Hi there, I`m Zoey! I am one sweet girl, full of love and fun. I am energetic, excited, and ready to seize the day. I love to play and be goofy. I playing outside and soaking up the sunshine. I am crate trained and like to hang out in it when my family is out. I am quite strong and still learning to walk with manners, so I need someone with Zoey muscles to walk me! The staff here have me learning to wear a harness and practice basic obedience, which is helping. I would absolutely love to be the only animal in the home and soak up all your attention and affections. Come meet me today! If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Story
My husband surprised me with our dog Bruno 7 years ago when we lived in Los Angeles. At the time, we had 2 cats and another dog. He gets along well with both cats and dogs but outside of the household, needs to get used to other dogs. When we rescued him, we were told he was already an older dog but do not think that was the case. I am guestimating he is now around 11 years old but still has the energy of a younger dog. We had a fenced in yard and was able to let him roam outside as well as regular walks. However, we recently had twins, relocated and do not have the time to give him the outdoor activity or attention he needs. He is very friendly and cuddly and just needs someone who can play with him and give him the space he needs to roam.

Story
Laszlo is a loyal and sweet companion. He loves playing fetch, walks or runs, and is very clever and surprisingly strong for his small size. Laszlo is 6 years old, and was shelter adoption in July '22. While I don't know much about his history prior to this, it doesn't appear to have been good. We've had a positive experience with him taking to myself (female) and my partner (male), as well as our other younger dog as well as dogs and people at daycare. While I've valued my time with Laszlo, I have not been able to provide him with the assistance he needs with his separation anxiety, high alertness, and reactivity and aggression towards unfamiliar people and animals that he perceives to be on his property. Laszlo would be best suited with an experienced dog owner, not living in an apartment, who is able to invest time working with him. Disclaimer: In 2024 Laszlo was reported for biting someone in our apartment complex when he got off his leash.

Story
This is Leo. He is a 3 year old beagle and husky mix. He is a very loyal and loving dog. Leo has a lot of energy and loves to play. He suffers from anxiety and doesnt like to be alone. Would do well with another dog. Current owner is elderly and has a hard time handling Leo's energy. He knows basic commands and loves to chew on his bone and get new toys! All he wants is the love and attention he deserves!

Story
Introducing Gambit - the name's not just a coincidence; it's a testament to my ability to shape my destiny. Just like my Marvel/X-Men namesake, I've overcome my past and now look forward to a brilliantly bright future. My journey started in a rather somber place - a lonely field next to a gas station. Thankfully, kind souls would drop by, leaving me food and their hopes for a better life. One day, a persistent and resourceful lady decided to play her "pawn" and orchestrated my escape from that grim existence. Since then, I've been living with her and her doggy (and human) family. But now, I'm eagerly searching for my own forever family. Let's talk quirks. I'm a cheerful guy, but I've got some personal space boundaries. I'm protective of my face, so a home with adults or older, dog-savvy kids is my ideal match. I'm also a bit of a goofball and adore the company of other dogs. Now, I might not instantly become your best buddy; I take time to trust and get comfortable in my surroundings. But trust me, the patience will be worth it. I'm brimming with love and loyalty, just waiting for the right family to share it with. Here's the good news - I'm house and crate trained, proving that, yes, young dogs can indeed learn new tricks. Oh, and there's more - I'm pretty chill around cats, though a gentle introduction is wise. And I've been curious and respectful around a human baby, so that's a plus. One thing to note, though, is that I've had some reservations around men. Despite two years together, I haven't quite warmed up to my human's fianc and have snapped at him a few times. So, it might be best if I find a home without men. During a short stay with Kathy, I was a little shy but kept to myself. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a dash of X-Men flair and you're ready to give me the chance I deserve, let's make it happen. I can't wait to meet you and start this exciting new chapter together! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)
