Story
Meet Winston, a loyal, food-loving homebody looking for a calm, stable home. He’s a sweet, quirky adult dog who thrives in a quiet environment with a predictable routine. Winston enjoys daily walks, cozy naps, toys, and treats, and loves relaxing near his person or sleeping in bed. He’s affectionate on his own terms, will follow you around, gently ask for attention, and talk when he wants something. He’s sensitive to loud voices or being cornered and does best with patient, positive handling. He can be nervous with strangers and other dogs but settles with time and space. He’s house-trained, sleeps through the night, and is very food-motivated and a bit of a scavenger, so a tidy home is important. Winston is not suited for small kids, frequent travel, or busy households—car rides stress him out. He’s happiest with an adult-only home, minimal chaos, and someone who appreciates a loyal companion and peaceful connection.

Story
Milo (and his brother, Ace) are both looking for their forever home due to the passing of their former owner. They are currently residing at the Long Run Pet Hospital in Wheeling, WV, where they were surrendered.  Milo is 2 years old and a beagle/bulldog mix -- known as a Beabull. This breed mix is active, playful and make great companions and family dogs for an active person or family. Both Milo and Ace exhibit the quintessential beagle/mix with the happy personality and attentive tail to show enthusiasm. Milo is very energetic, curious and does well on a leash. He loves attention and returns it with a big smile.  Milo is a sturdy boy that would make a great companion for someone who not only commits to providing lots of playtime but also loves to snuggle and go for long walks for "all the sniffs." He would benefit from basic obedience classes to teach him good manners. He should do well with another dog of his size and playstyle but is far too energetic for cats and toddlers. Older, dog-savvy children may very well enjoy this beautiful boys as a snuggle buddy. Milo's soft, floppy ears and doggy smile are guaranteed to bring joy and laughter into your life. Milo is a courtesy post for the Long Run Pet Hospital. For more information or to arrange a meet, please call Long Run at 304-232-2605. May 12, 2025, 12:57 pm

Story
Got her from family that had a few other dogs, she is up to date on all her shots but is not spayed. She’s a great loving dog and very loyal, there have been a few occasions that she got out without a leash and all I had to do was start walking away and she came running straight back to me. I’ve been have a lot of trouble with training her on my own and had a change in my work schedule that unfortunately has made caring for her extremely difficult for me and her and I feel that I’m only doing a disservice to her if I try to keep her.

Story
CORI Female 8 years Attributes Adult home only preferred Single dog home Dog friendly Good w/cats Requires a fence Housetrained Good in cars Cori is a sweet beagle girl with an adorable underbite. She was obviously very much loved in her previous home, but sadly, her mom passed away. Now, at 8 years old, Cori is looking for a forever home where she can be spoiled again. An adult-only home where she can have ample time to settle in would be best for Cori. She would prefer a quiet lifestyle (no cities or busy neighborhoods for Cori) and would like to be the only dog in the household. That being said, Cori enjoys her visits to doggy daycare where she can socialize with other dogs. Cori also does well with cats. Cori will thrive in a home where she has a regular routine and will be walked daily so her beagle nose can be used to its fullest potential. She’s house trained, but she doesn’t potty on leash, so a fenced yard is a must. Car rides with Cori are a breeze – she’s the perfect passenger when it’s time to hit the road! Because Cori was displaying some behavior that we wanted to better understand, we sent her to a certified professional dog trainer. Cori was already on medication for general anxiety, and she underwent thorough behavioral and medical evaluations to determine if there was something else that was affecting her behavior. We discovered that Cori’s underbite was causing a lot of jaw pain, and her discomfort was affecting how she interacted with the world. Since starting daily anti-inflammatory medication, Cori has bloomed beautifully. According to her trainer, she now has a good appetite and is a “total foodie.” Her confidence has increased, she’s more playful and more at ease meeting new people, and she has learned to ignore distractions while she’s on leash. Best of all, Cori is now ready to find her new forever home. If Cori seems like the beagle buddy you’ve been looking for, please contact Midwest BREW to learn more about her. COOKIE (female) 7 years Attributes: Likes car rides Good with kids over 4 yrs House trained Likes cats Dog friendly Medium energy Will potty on leash Cookie is a beautiful lemon Beagle who just turned 7 years old on Dec 28th. She is 27 pounds of snuggle bug extraordinaire!! Cookie was taken from her family and placed in a shelter for a couple of months where she started to deteriorate leaving her with trust and confidence issues. She does NOT like being alone but will tolerate for a couple of hours. Gets along with other dogs but doesn't engage in play. Lives with 4 resident cats in her foster home with no issues. She is house trained and will potty on leash while enjoying her walks in the woods. Loves to have her head out the car window for a bit then lays down in the seat to rest. Story
ARROW 4 years Attributes Dog friendly Needs another dog Snuggly Playful Likes car rides Working on housetraining High energy Hi, my name is Arrow. I’m approximately 4 years old and 22 pounds. I’m searching for a family to spoil and pamper me at all times of the day and night. In return I promise to give lots of beagle kisses, cuddles, playfulness and entertaining beagle antics. I love to be picked up, carried around, snuggled and given lots of back scratches and belly rubs. My foster mom says I’m the most affectionate beagle she’s ever had. I do love my humans! If you want to become my permanent human, you will have to say goodbye to your personal space. I follow foster mom all around the house and whine if I can’t be in the same room with her. I could use a little help with my separation anxiety, but I am a real sweetheart. I can’t stress enough how much I love to snuggle and give kisses. I am great with other dogs. I’m even happy to share my human’s lap with other dogs. I just squeeze myself right in there and get some snuggles from both my human and my beagle sibling. I would really enjoy having another energetic young dog to play chase and bitey-face with me. I LOVE to run and play. My favorite toys are stuffies – durable ones or else I shred them. Stealing socks and slippers is one of my many talents. Foster Mom says now that I know I’m safe, I’m reliving my puppy days. I do not like crates. During the day, I do NOT like to be away from my humans as it makes me anxious. I would not do well with long periods of alone time. At night I sleep in the big bed with the humans. I am a great car rider. I am still working on potty training. This is another area where I would be helped by having another dog in the house to show me the ropes. I am quite the follower and like to do what the other dogs do. I’m generally submissive towards other dogs. Please consider becoming my lifelong human family. Love and kisses, Arrow.
