Story
Milo (and his brother, Ace) are both looking for their forever home due to the passing of their former owner. They are currently residing at the Long Run Pet Hospital in Wheeling, WV, where they were surrendered.  Milo is 2 years old and a beagle/bulldog mix -- known as a Beabull. This breed mix is active, playful and make great companions and family dogs for an active person or family. Both Milo and Ace exhibit the quintessential beagle/mix with the happy personality and attentive tail to show enthusiasm. Milo is very energetic, curious and does well on a leash. He loves attention and returns it with a big smile.  Milo is a sturdy boy that would make a great companion for someone who not only commits to providing lots of playtime but also loves to snuggle and go for long walks for "all the sniffs." He would benefit from basic obedience classes to teach him good manners. He should do well with another dog of his size and playstyle but is far too energetic for cats and toddlers. Older, dog-savvy children may very well enjoy this beautiful boys as a snuggle buddy. Milo's soft, floppy ears and doggy smile are guaranteed to bring joy and laughter into your life. Milo is a courtesy post for the Long Run Pet Hospital. For more information or to arrange a meet, please call Long Run at 304-232-2605. May 12, 2025, 12:57 pm

Story
Meet Winston, a loyal, food-loving homebody looking for a calm, stable home. He’s a sweet, quirky adult dog who thrives in a quiet environment with a predictable routine. Winston enjoys daily walks, cozy naps, toys, and treats, and loves relaxing near his person or sleeping in bed. He’s affectionate on his own terms, will follow you around, gently ask for attention, and talk when he wants something. He’s sensitive to loud voices or being cornered and does best with patient, positive handling. He can be nervous with strangers and other dogs but settles with time and space. He’s house-trained, sleeps through the night, and is very food-motivated and a bit of a scavenger, so a tidy home is important. Winston is not suited for small kids, frequent travel, or busy households—car rides stress him out. He’s happiest with an adult-only home, minimal chaos, and someone who appreciates a loyal companion and peaceful connection.

Story
CORI Female 8 years Attributes Adult home only preferred Single dog home Dog friendly Good w/cats Requires a fence Housetrained Good in cars Cori is a sweet beagle girl with an adorable underbite. She was obviously very much loved in her previous home, but sadly, her mom passed away. Now, at 8 years old, Cori is looking for a forever home where she can be spoiled again. An adult-only home where she can have ample time to settle in would be best for Cori. She would prefer a quiet lifestyle (no cities or busy neighborhoods for Cori) and would like to be the only dog in the household. That being said, Cori enjoys her visits to doggy daycare where she can socialize with other dogs. Cori also does well with cats. Cori will thrive in a home where she has a regular routine and will be walked daily so her beagle nose can be used to its fullest potential. She’s house trained, but she doesn’t potty on leash, so a fenced yard is a must. Car rides with Cori are a breeze – she’s the perfect passenger when it’s time to hit the road! Because Cori was displaying some behavior that we wanted to better understand, we sent her to a certified professional dog trainer. Cori was already on medication for general anxiety, and she underwent thorough behavioral and medical evaluations to determine if there was something else that was affecting her behavior. We discovered that Cori’s underbite was causing a lot of jaw pain, and her discomfort was affecting how she interacted with the world. Since starting daily anti-inflammatory medication, Cori has bloomed beautifully. According to her trainer, she now has a good appetite and is a “total foodie.” Her confidence has increased, she’s more playful and more at ease meeting new people, and she has learned to ignore distractions while she’s on leash. Best of all, Cori is now ready to find her new forever home. If Cori seems like the beagle buddy you’ve been looking for, please contact Midwest BREW to learn more about her. NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ORVILLE, PLEASE GO TO OUR WEBSITE TO READ ABOUT THE PROCESS AND FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION. www.furkidrescue.org Orville was rescued by a good Samaritan in Arkansas, when he was founded at an abandoned home. He was underweight, covered in fleas and ticks, and very weak. Once we got him to our vet we found that he was anemic, the fleas had sucked all of his blood. He is also heartworm positive, and he’s started the beginning of heartworm treatment. He’s feeling so much better and is on the path to good health! Orville is feeling better now, and his personality has started to show. He shows signs of being abused. He is not going to be a good first dog for someone, and he will need someone who’s dog savvy, and will give him space to settle in his environment.

Story
Got her from family that had a few other dogs, she is up to date on all her shots but is not spayed. She’s a great loving dog and very loyal, there have been a few occasions that she got out without a leash and all I had to do was start walking away and she came running straight back to me. I’ve been have a lot of trouble with training her on my own and had a change in my work schedule that unfortunately has made caring for her extremely difficult for me and her and I feel that I’m only doing a disservice to her if I try to keep her.

Story
How can you resist this cute face Hi everyone, my name is Thadeus! I'm a cute little beagle mix weighing about 22 lbs. My age is estimated to be around 2 years old. I was rescued from a hoarding situation, so I'm a little scared of new people and places at first. Once I trust you, I'll be your new best friend. I love to cuddle and will follow you everywhere. I am doing great with house training... I haven't had one accident in the house! I sleep all night in my cage and keep it clean. I really like playing with toys and chewing on my bone. I get along with other dogs. I haven't been around cats or children, but with my sweet disposition my foster mom thinks I'd do great with both. If you're looking for your new cuddle buddy apply for me at pawsacrosspittsburgh.com. ##2618026##

Story
Hi, I’m Betty! I’m a 7-year-old brown and white Basset Hound mix with the most adorable face and a gentle soul to match. I’m a sweet senior gal who would love nothing more than a cozy place to rest my head and a family to call my own. I have that classic hound charm—soft eyes, a loving nature, and a calm presence that makes you want to sit down and stay awhile. I may be past the puppy stage, but I still have plenty of love to give and would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loyal, easygoing friend. If you’ve got room in your heart (and on your couch) for a deserving senior, I’d love to meet you.If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog`s better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict.I am a senior dog that is eligible for the Senior 2 Senior Adoption Program! The Adoption Fee Includes:- initial canine distemper combination vaccination- first worming or stool check- rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age)- 24 Petwatch microchipping- flea treatment/preventative- spaying or neuteringAdoption fee: $95.00Per state law, ALL ADOPTERS must purchase a non-refundable 2025 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older.
