Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Foster Home or Foster to Adopt needed!     Shorty here, I am a happy, sweet beagle boy that was found as a stray.I was running down the road with Gus and a kind couple pulled over to rescue us. No one claimed us. We were probably not treated the best. We head duck when you reach to pet us and don't like loud noises. We were lucky to have escaped our owner. We are not such good buddies now, as we had a spat. We are kept separated, but we are neutered now and totally vetted. We will be introduced again and should do fine.We are looking for a foster home or foster to adopt home, to house us individually. I am around 7 years old and weighing in at 25 lbs. I am playful and love people.  I will need a fenced yard as I am an escape artist. Beagles are by nature non aggressive and loving. The two of us need to find out what it is like to be in a house and loved. That's all we want. We will come with belly bands, until we get house trained. That will protect your house, while we quickly learn. If you think you can help Shorty out, fill out an online applications. If you have further questions, please email the rescue at rosesrescuepets@gmail.com. Story
🐾 Meet this sweet beagle mix (almost 5 years old) 🐾He’s a loyal, affectionate boy who loves being close to his people and thrives in a calm, structured home. He enjoys sniffing outside, relaxing nearby, and settling into a predictable routine. Once he bonds with you, he’s incredibly devoted and loving. He is currently under veterinary care and takes medications that help him feel his best.🏡 Ideal home: He must be the only dog, but he has done well living with cats. A calm home with a consistent routine will help him thrive.⚠️ Important: In multi-dog settings, he has shown intermittent stress-related reactivity, including pinning another dog during high-arousal moments (such as after meals). Because of this, he is not a fit for homes with other dogs.💛 He’s a good dog who just needs the right environment to shine.
