Story
Hey there, I’m Rooney! I’m a 5-year-old Beagle/Redbone Coonhound mix, and while I might look like a potato or maybe even a hunting dog who’s enjoyed a few too many snacks, I’m so much more! I’m a loyal protector and a world-class couch potato, though, I’m currently on a 'fitness journey' to find my inner athlete again. My foster mom has me on this 'diet' food—I wasn't a fan at first, but hey, it grows on you! I currently weigh 67 lbs, but my ideal weight is probably more like 30-45 lbs. Right now, my goal is to shed 20 pounds so I can really zoom around the yard and enjoy the long walks I love. My doctor said I might be double my ideal weight, but my heart sounds wonderful and that makes me so happy. I’m a perfect house guest: house-broken, crate-trained, and I never touch 'human' stuff. However, if you give me a stuffed toy, consider that squeaker evicted—it’s my favorite hobby! I am such an easy going dog that gets along with every dog and human I meet, though tend to bark at anybody new so they know I'm in charge. I am neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and ready to be your best friend! I am looking for someone to continue my fitness journey so I can live a long and healthy life with unlimited snuggles on the couch. Do you think you're the one for me? Rooney is available now for adoption through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale Pa, 15144 KL#16182 ##2635977##

Story
Meet Bluey! This sweet 10-week-old pup, believed to be a Beagle mix, came into rescue with his momma and five siblings. Based on his mom’s size (around 30 lbs) and Bluey’s current weight of just under 10 lbs, he’s expected to grow into a happy, medium-sized dog when fully grown. Like all puppies, Bluey will need continued house training, crate training, and help learning good manners as he grows—but he’s at the perfect age to learn and thrive with consistent guidance. Bluey is an independent pup who still loves affection, happily leaning his whole body into your hand when you pet him. He’s wonderful with toddlers, cats, and large dogs, making him a great fit for many types of homes. He is neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, and will be available for adoption starting 2/15/26 through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, PA KL# 16182.  ##2655292##

Story
Small Stature, Big Personality! Meet Your New Best Friend. Are you looking for a loyal companion who will fill your home with love and a little bit of sass? Look no further than Louie! This charming gentleman weighs 26 lbs and is estimated to be 8-years old.  He is a beagle with the cutest short little legs you’ve ever seen. Don’t let his age fool you—while he enjoys a good nap on the couch, Louie has a younger spirit and a spring in his step when it’s time to play. He is the perfect blend of "Netflix and chill" and "let’s sniff around the yard." Here’s why Louie is the perfect addition to your pack: · Low-Maintenance & Loving: Louie is generally easy-going and thrives on a routine. He loves his people unconditionally and is a professional-level cuddler. If you want a dog who will look at you with adoring eyes, he’s your guy.· Crate Trained & House Savvy: He is mostly house trained and knows that his crate is his safe space. Please note, he may have the occasional accident as he settles into a new home, but with a consistent schedule, he’ll be right on track.· Playful & Affectionate: He has a playful side! Whether it’s a gentle game of tug or carrying around a squeaky toy, he knows how to have fun and can easily entertain himself. Like many rescued dogs, Louie is still perfecting his gentlemanly manners. He is looking for an adopter who understands that the best relationships are built on patience. · Leash Walking: He is working on his leash walking skills. The world has so many amazing smells, and he sometimes forgets we are walking with him! He needs a patient human who will help him practice.· Dog Socialization: Louie is learning how to socialize with other dogs. He would do best in a home where his human understands dog body language and can help him have positive, calm introductions to new canine friends. If you are looking for a sweet, goofy, and loving companion who will follow you from room to room just to be near you, Louie is your guy. He has so much love to give and is ready to spend his future years as your faithful sidekick. Ready to meet this adorable, short-legged hunk? Note: Due to his need for patient leash training, a home with a securely fenced yard would be a bonus for Louie so he can sniff to his heart’s content. Louie is neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations. He will be available for adoption on or after 3/1/26 through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, Pa 15144 KL#16182 ##2667523##

Story
Let him look at you like you're his whole world, and you'll never want to let him go. Okay, that was cheesy. Colby Jack would approve. Smart. Deeply attentive. Affectionate. Colby Jack is a 1 year old, 25-lb beagle mix. In just his first week in foster care, Colby Jack learned sit, down, and come. This pup rests his head in your hands and makes eye contact like he's trying to read your soul. Somehow he's figured out how to split his cuddle time perfectly between two people. He's fair like that. Colby Jack sleeps quietly through the night in his crate and naps in it during the day, too. He eliminates immediately on outdoor trips and is well on his way to being fully housetrained. This kissy boy settles nearby while you cook and watches the whole operation like a very invested sous chef. Lick pads, puzzle toys, ropes, plushies, balls — give this dog enrichment and he will thrive. On walks he's a nose-to-the-ground explorer, fast and agile. Colby Jack is eagerly interested in other dogs. He hasn't yet been introduced to cats or children, and at his age, jumping up and being mouthy (not nippy) are still part of the package. He pulls some on leash but is already getting better with a harness. Food motivated and eager to please, training him is easy. He wants to get it right. The eye contact alone tells you that. Colby Jack's ideal home is someone present enough in those early weeks to supervise, consistent enough to reinforce what he's already started learning, and excited (not exhausted) by an active, engaged dog. Families with older kids, active individuals or couples, experienced puppy parents who recognize a sweetheart when they see one: this is your guy. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and will be available for adoption starting March 1, 2026 through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, PA KL# 16182.  ##2661566##

Story
Meet Cleo! Cleo is a spunky senior, estimated to be around 10 years young — but you’d never guess it when you see her excitement for treats, walks, and car rides. Despite a difficult few months before coming to rescue, Cleo’s sweet spirit shines through. She was left in a home for about seven months with two other dogs and three cats, with kind visitors stopping by daily to care for them. Because of this experience, Cleo can feel a little anxious when left alone and would thrive in a home where her person is around most of the time. A few things to love about Cleo: Dog, cat, and kid friendly Sleeps soundly through the night — happily in her crate or snuggled beside you Doing well with house training when kept on a regular schedule Gentle, loving personality — she simply wants to be near her human Cleo is spayed and up to date on vaccinations. During her spay, four mammary masses were removed, and we’re happy to share they were all cancer-free. Cleo is ready to find her forever home through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale Pa, 15144 KL#16182 — and she can’t wait to meet you. ##2661983##
