Meet Lela   Lela is a sweet 3-year-old, 40 lb hound mix who has been blossoming in foster care over the past couple weeks. She’s currently finishing medication for a skin infection and is healing beautifully, and may still gain a little more weight as she settles in.   Lela loves to follow her hound nose on walks and does great on a leash. She’s very friendly with kids and people, and enjoys other dogs with a slow introduction. She is also house trained and crate trained, making her an easy addition to a home.   Lela is looking for a loving family who will enjoy walks, adventures, and plenty of snuggles.   Quick facts: • 3 years old • 40 lb hound mix • House trained & crate trained • Good with kids and people • Dog friendly with slow introductions • No cats ##2680124##

Story
Meet Cleo! Cleo is a spunky senior, estimated to be around 10 years young — but you’d never guess it when you see her excitement for treats, walks, and car rides. Despite a difficult few months before coming to rescue, Cleo’s sweet spirit shines through. She was left in a home for about seven months with two other dogs and three cats, with kind visitors stopping by daily to care for them. Because of this experience, Cleo can feel a little anxious when left alone and would thrive in a home where her person is around most of the time. A few things to love about Cleo: Dog, cat, and kid friendly Sleeps soundly through the night — happily in her crate or snuggled beside you Doing well with house training when kept on a regular schedule Gentle, loving personality — she simply wants to be near her human Cleo is spayed and up to date on vaccinations. During her spay, four mammary masses were removed, and we’re happy to share they were all cancer-free. Cleo is ready to find her forever home through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale Pa, 15144 KL#16182 — and she can’t wait to meet you. ##2661983##

Story
Jolene is a lovable, smart family dog. She is fantastic with children, was born into a family of youngins, toddler through teens, 5 of them. She is clever, and loves to explore and run free. Our other dogs are trained off leash, she will come back, when she feels. We make sure to be mindful when receiving packages or guests, for Jolene is keen on opportunities to be free. She would be happy in a home with children and other pets, though she does like her one on one attention. She has a good nose, and a desire to please.

Hello! I am new to the shelter! Please keep checking my profile for updates as the staff gets to know me better! If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog`s better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict. The Adoption Fee Includes:- initial canine distemper combination vaccination- first worming or stool check- rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age)- 24 Petwatch microchipping- flea treatment/preventative- spaying or neuteringAdoption fee: $95.00Per state law, ALL ADOPTERS must purchase a non-refundable 2025 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older. Story
Melly has been a special addition to our family for about 6 years. Due to unforeseen family health circumstances, we’re heartbroken to have to rehome him. Melly is just a huge love bug. He adores cuddling in warm, cozy spots and wants all the affection you can give. He’s an old soul who thrives on close companionship. Melly is wonderful with children, but would likely prefer a calm, peaceful household at this stage of life. He likes to stay within eyesight and will experience separation anxiety when left alone. Preferably someone who works from home and can take him everywhere, as he cannot be left alone due to his separation anxiety. Another dog in the home would likely keep him calm and give companionship for the potential of leaving him. He’s fully house- and crate-trained. Melly has a history of Lyme disease, so his joints occasionally bother him—especially during cold or rainy weather—but he manages well with love and care. Melly is gun shy and CANNOT be used as a hunting dog.

Story
WAYLON 1 year Attributes: Dog friendly Shy Crate trained Low energy House trained Requires a fence Meet Waylon Waylon is a 1½-year-old, 22-pound beagle boy with the softest heart and the sweetest soul. He was found loose in Indiana and spent several months in a shelter. He is fearful and shy when meeting new people. He will bond very strongly to a female and would thrive with someone who wants a loyal little shadow. Waylon is crate trained and also potty trained using a dog door. He gets along well with our 3 beagles and is a true couch potato at heart. He enjoys quietly playing with his toys and chewing on his Nyla bones before curling up beside "his person." Waylon would do best in a quiet, female-only household with a secure 6-foot wooded fenced yard. Another calm dog could help him continue building confidence. He needs someone patient and gentle who wants to continue his training and socialization building. If you have a peaceful home, a kind heart, and room on your couch, Waylon may be your perfect match. 💙 NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).
