Bucky is around 3-4 years old and weighs a chunky 24lbs! His little legs just make him the most adorable little fella. His best mate is Amos, and he certainly makes Amos more comfortable with things as Amos is a little on the shy side. They do not have to be adopted together but it would be nice if they were. Amos is only 28lbs and around 18 months old, so they are a very unlikely couple! Both are good with other dogs, can be cat tested on request and are now getting fully vetted so they will be ready for forever homes in November!

Meet Chance Some dogs are given a name that fits them perfectly, and Chance is one of them. This sweet 5-year-old Beagle mix received his name because he was given a second chance at life—and he has embraced it with his whole heart. Chance came from a hoarding/ animal abuse case where his owners were consequently arrest, arrested. Despite everything he's been through, Chance has never lost his love for people. His tail still wags, his eyes still light up when he sees you, and he still believes that his forever family is out there waiting for him. Chance is one of the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet. He loves attention, enjoys spending time with his people, and has a gentle, loving personality that makes it impossible not to fall in love with him. He is a little on the chubby side at 56lbs and loves to be a couch potato, though we have put him on an exercise regimen and a diet. Chance is currently heartworm positive, but that doesn't define who he is. He is receiving treatment and deserves the comfort of a loving home while he completes his journey to recovery. His future is bright, and all he needs now is someone willing to give him the love and security he has always deserved.Chance was given a second chance at life. This beautiful purebred Beagle girl called Brittany is our pride and joy to offer to a Beagle loving family. Her story is sad and one that will make you sad and mad all rolled in to one roller coaster of emotions. A young newly wed couple were driving from their home in Chattanooga, on their way to a honeymoon in Nashville, TN. Out of the corner of their eye while driving, they saw a truck pulled over and pushing this girl out onto the side of the road and then drive away. They owned two dogs of their own and it broke their heart to see such meanness. She was in a desperate situation. They pulled over and took her in to their car and then started making calls to shelters and rescues in the Nashville area where they were destined to arrive in a few hours. They got Critter Cavalry on the phone and we stepped up to take her in immediately and we would make sure she had a future family who would never do such a horrible thing as to abandon her. What we have found out with Brittany is that she is a happy and inviting girl who loves to play with other dogs and who loves to spoken to with kindness. She craves love which we are sure she got little of before. Her fav game is to chase a ball. She is young as in probably a year or 2 at the oldest and she weighs 26 pounds. She is being spayed 10/23 and has already started her shots and worming. She is picture perfect if you want a Beagle or small dog that is not tiny but resilient and fun and loving. We know she loves couches and dog company for playtime and hanging out. She’s housebroken and will definitely need a fenced yard to keep that Beagle nose safely within sight of your back door. Bowie is 6 years old and an amazing companion. He is loyal and playful, but also good for a a lazy day doing absolutely nothing. He does well with older kids, but does not get along with other dogs or cats. Bowie would do best in a home with someone who is retired or works from home as he does not do well with long separations. Bowie is mostly Beagle, so walks definitely require patience for sniffing all of the new smells. Bowie is very protective and will alert you whenever he hears something out of place. He can be crated for short periods of time, but he prefers to be out and about with his human.

Meet Mad Max! He’s approximately 2 years old, and our best guess is that he’s a Beagle/Shepherd mix. We’re not entirely sure what went into making Max, but we’re fairly confident someone added an extra scoop of chaos, a generous helping of affection, and absolutely no concept of personal space. 😂❤️ Max had a rough start in life, but he’s decided the best way to make up for lost time is to live every single day like someone just announced FREE TENNIS BALLS FOR EVERYONE! 🎾 This boy is a four-legged tornado with a heart of gold. He’s goofy, affectionate, ridiculously enthusiastic, and occasionally resembles a bull who has been turned loose in a china shop. Does he mean to cause chaos? Absolutely not. Does chaos seem to follow him anyway? Well… 😂 🐾 Kids? Max does well with older children! However, his enthusiasm occasionally exceeds his ability to steer, so little ones may find themselves unintentionally participating in an unexpected game of human bowling. 🎳 🐾 Other dogs? Max does well with most dogs, provided they’re playful, confident, and completely nonreactive. He needs a buddy who appreciates his particular brand of nonsense rather than one who takes offense to it. He’d also be perfectly happy as an only dog, where he could enjoy being the main character 24/7. 🐾 Cats? Unfortunately, no. Max has some natural chasing instincts, and we’d prefer not to turn anyone’s beloved feline into an unwilling participant in a high-speed pursuit. 🐈💨 🐾 Energy level? Have you ever watched a toddler eat an entire bag of candy and then discover a trampoline? Something along those lines. But here’s the thing about Max. Underneath all that enthusiasm is a genuinely sweet, loving boy who just wants someone to love him back. He’s had enough hardship in his short life, and now he deserves a family who sees past the occasional chaos and appreciates just how special he is. Max isn’t looking for someone who expects a perfectly polished couch potato.
