Story
Mr. Biscuits was a southern hunting dog whose owner passed away. He lived the first three years of his life in an outdoor kennel with little to no socialization. He has worked hard at socializing with people. He is still very timid and shy but has made huge strides since coming into the rescue and is improving every day. He is currently taking anxiety medication and is beginning to seek the company of humans. Once he fully relaxes into living in a home, he will make a wonderful addition to a family. Mr. Biscuits has arrived in New England and is available for visits.

Story
Anna and Sylvia were surrendered by southern backyard breeders. Anna is estimated to be 10 years and Sylvia 7 years old. They are petite beagles at around 22 lbs. These sweet girls were thought to be bonded but now that they have arrived at their foster in Massachusetts they have become independent of each other. They really love their foster parents and all the attention they can get from humans, interact well with the other dogs there and even do well with the cats in the home. Sylvia is an adorable, happy little girl! She is a little cautious of movement but not scared. She likes to know what is going on, often getting up and following her foster parents around. She prefers not to be alone so we think she will do best with another dog in the home. A playmate would be great as she is enjoying the playful dog in her foster home, often running around with him. Someone who is also home a lot would be a bonus for her. Sylvia is friendly and content to sit on your lap but also has an active side. She just discovered toys and joyfully runs back and forth with different ones. Sylvia is being fostered south of Boston and is available for visits.

Story
Tyson is a sweet and friendly beagle mix from the south. He is good with other dogs, but doesn't like overly active ones in his face or jumping on him. He may do better as an only dog or with an older, calmer one. Tyson is a very energetic and vocal boy. His ideal home would be with an active family and a fenced in yard. He does not like the crate. He is arriving in MA on February 28.

Story
Rambo is an owner surrender from the south. He may have been a failed hunting dog. This friendly boy is about 2 years old and 23 lbs. He can be a bit timid and skittish, but is good with dogs and kids of all ages. Rambo's ideal home would be quiet and have a fenced in yard. This sweet little guy is vocal, medium energy, and crate-trained. Rambo is epileptic and will need to be on medication for the rest of his life. Medication will not completely resolve the seizures. The goal is to reduce the frequency and severity of them. Rambo is expected to arrive in MA by mid-March.

Story
This handsome beagle is a southern stray. He is estimated to be about a year old and weighs 29 lbs. He is currently at a stopover in New York on his way to Massachusetts to find his forever family. John is very playful. He enjoys playing fetch and LOVES toys, especially squeaky ones. He likes to collect all the toys and store them in his crate. He has settled into his foster home very quickly, getting along well with the dogs and cats there. He goes in his crate often and is very comfortable in it. John is very easy going. He walks well on a leash but can be stubborn. If he doesn't want to go back in, he fights it and tries to back out of his collar. John is an active, energetic, young beagle with a lot of puppy energy and behavior. He will need to be monitored as he learns to live in a home. He can jump a 3ft gate and will dig if given the opportunity. Fenced yards will need to be secure. This fun, happy boy will make a great addition to any family. John is due to arrive in Massachusetts on February 9.

They really love their foster parents and all the attention they can get from humans, interact well with the other dogs there and even do well with the cats in the home. Anna is a senior gal who is friendly and affectionate but spends most of her day curled up in the comfy dog bed. She has bouts of energy and has seemed to enjoy running the tracks in the snow. She is a toy collector bringing them all to her dog bed. How she fits in there with all of them is truly a feat! Anna is snuggly and happy to lie with you all day if you have the time. She has little fear and will happily come running up to you for affection or just to say hi. Anna has had a rough life, but you would never know it by her personality. She has alopecia with some patches of hair loss and recently had a dental cleaning with 10 rotted teeth extracted. She has no problems eating canned food or softened kibble. Treats are a bit of a struggle, but cream cheese is a favorite. Anna would do fine with another dog or alone with someone who was home a lot. She is working of house training although these northern temperatures and snow are not making it easy. She is doing well with pee pads when she doesn't get outside. Anna is being fostered south of Boston and is available for visits.
