Meet Rory! A big personality in a small package, she came to DFW Beagle Buddies from the Longview shelter. She had 5 puppies - adorable little scruffy babies - who went with another rescue. She is SO SWEET and is a little lover. She loves to cuddle, give kisses, be mischievous, and loves playing with other dogs. She is a lovely little girl who will need a home that is willing to help her become a well-trained house dog - she's getting the hang of it in her foster home, but isn't quite used to it just yet! She will do best with a canine playmate and a backyard. Rory has a ton of love to give and would be a great family dog. She gets along with other dogs of all sizes and never meets a stranger. Hi everybody! I’m Travis, and I might just be the sweetest beagle you ever meet. I came to Beagle Buddies from the Canton shelter with my pregnant companion, Taylor. I’ve had my vaccines, been neutered, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworms - so I’m all ready to find my new home! When I first arrived, I was a little shy and confused - I didn’t even know what a dog treat was. I do now, though! I’ve also learned how to go into my crate when my foster people leave, and I’m really good at the doggy door - although I’m still not quite perfect about using it every time I need to potty. I’m getting there. The rescue thinks I’m pretty young - maybe around 2 years old, so I do have a lot of energy. A home with a canine sibling would be ideal for me so that I have someone to play with - I love playing with my dog sisters. I am also happy to sit by your feet for hours while you pet my head. And because I’m still young, I occasionally like to get into a little bit of mischief like stealing your slippers, but I’m so cute, no one can stay mad at me. UPDATE, MY SISTER FOUND HER FOREVER HOME, I'M STILL LOOKING FOR MINE!!! Updated: Fred has been neutered! Fred has been housebroken & create trained, he has learned the commands sit & stay. He is comfortable with a collar, he has 2, one for day to day use and a second training collar for leash training, (working on the leash training now, it's not going well, he's scared, but he will get over that with time), he is comfortable wearing both. Fred is very energetic and loves to explore, dig, chew, and eat. He has his own cage, blanket, toys, collars, leash, food bowl, (one that makes him slow down when eating). Fred is good with dogs that are bigger then him, smaller dogs he's not so good with. He loves kids. Fred is looking for a loving family with medium to high energy. Fred does sleep through the night. He has no known food allergies, he hasn't met a food he don't like yet.

Story
Roxy is a very sweet, energetic and intelligent girl. We adopted her about a year ago, and she has been trained and well taken care of during that time. She is heartworm negative, up-to-date on all of her shots, and on heartworm and flea prevention. Roxy needs room to run and she will try to keep all of the errant squirrels out of your yard. She also loves to spend most of her time taking a nap in your lap. We are rehoming her only because she does not get along with her canine sibling at all. It has become unmanageable, so she should go to a one-dog home. She has some food aggression tendencies. Roxy has been working with a private trainer since we got her, and that training goes with her wherever she lives for her entire life. If family needed help in training her to behave the way you need her to, her trainer will be available to come to your home to work with her. It breaks my heart to have to rehome Roxy. Someone would be really lucky to have her in their family.
