Story
Meet Tobias!Sweet soul Tobias is looking forward to meeting his fur-ever person or family! Tobias is thought to be a 5-year-oldish Beagle mixed pup. This pup enjoys cuddling and staying close to his humans. He is a gentle guy and usually calm, but has impressed us and made us laugh the few times he has sprinted around the backyard at top speeds. He can be a little timid around new people but seems great with kids. We introduced him to a cat and he didn`t seem interested. He`s gotten along with our dog, but doesn`t seem overly interested in her either....he would likely do well as an only pup or would be content with other dogs. He has a lil naughty streak and needs to be reminded to not put his paws on the counter or table, but is doing much better. He is mostly house trained...we previously found a few puddles but with frequent outside breaks, he is doing well. Not much of a barker at all...we have only heard that distinct beagle bark once or twice for just a quick moment. His leash walking skills have come a long way, but he still wants to take many sniff breaks. From his big soft ears to his smiley face, Tobias is sure to win over hearts and be an amazing and loyal companion. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquires but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
Meet Tuck!Tuck is a 3 year old male Beagle who weights approximately 40lbs. He is fully vaccinated, neutered, and heart-worm negative.Tuck was brought into Saving Hope’s care in July 2025 when a breeder with over 150 Beagles was shut down. Unsure of his former years, Tuck is a very friendly and affectionate boy. True to his breed, he has a keen sense of smell and an insatiable curiosity. His features include bright golden eyes, soft caramel colored fur, and a missing tip of his right ear.Currently, working on house/crate training and basic commands like ‘sit’. He is dog and kid friendly. Not sure if he has met a cat. He does get very excited with people and tends to have velcro characteristics. Just playing catch up on missed kisses and snuggles.Tuck is a gentle boy who is look for a pal. Someone to enjoy life with and enjoy treats along the way.To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
Gold is a gorgeous lab mix packed into the perfect compact body. He’s an independent gentleman who likes his own space, but he’ll happily greet you after crate time with joyful hops and spins! He’s a little “Eeyore dog” who quietly roams about, observing his world and being a calm, silent companion. Give him a cozy bed or blanket, and he’ll be your quiet shadow while you go about your day. Gold is all about chill mode when you’re nearby. He’s happy to give you space when needed—cooking dinner? He’ll hang out quietly, observing without getting in the way. Working on your laptop? Set down his comfy bed and he’ll be your calm little cheerleader while you knock out your to-do list. He also loves lounging in the backyard when the weather is nice. Gold views his crate as his personal space and won’t have accidents or destroy bedding inside. That said, he’s a bit of a crate Houdini and needs a proper heavy-duty crate to feel secure. Once inside, he settles within a reasonable time. He does have some FOMO and may whine or bark if he hears activity in the house while crated, but he usually calms down quickly when monitored on camera, especially when things quiet down. Gold is a potty-training king! He’s also very polite about asking to go out—he’ll quietly sit by the door and gently paw when he needs a break (no barking or whining), so his adopter will just need to be attentive. Once shown the potty spot, he’ll take care of business right away on cue “Go Potty”. Gold is a quiet observer. He’s great on leash and not easily distracted by his surroundings. He prefers calm environments and is content to hang out as long as you bring along a bed for him to nap on. Gold is an excellent car companion! He rides calmly and appreciates a comfy bed but will happily settle into a seat as well. Gold does well with dogs his size and age. He enjoys some playtime but mostly prefers to chill. He does best being fed and given treats separately to maintain boundaries. In public, he’s pretty uninterested in other dogs and takes new introductions casually. Even with neighbor dogs barking through the fence, he rarely shows much interest in engaging. He hasn’t been around cats in our care. However, he doesn’t show prey drive toward birds, squirrels, or small dogs, which is a great sign! Gold absolutely vibes with kids! He has done well with children ages 1–9 and has a gentle, patient nature. He isn’t easily startled, so he handles the quick, unpredictable movements of little ones very well. Gold isn’t very food-motivated, but he’s eager to please and enjoys being near his people. He’s learning “sit” and “kennel”—progress is slow since he’s not treat-driven and really dislikes the kennel—but he’s improving! He has excellent recall in the yard, comes when whistled for, and goes potty on command. He responds to his name, “Gold,” as well as nicknames “Oro” and “Bubbs.” Fun fact: while he’s stunning in person, he’s camera shy—his signature look is a solemn, side-eyed face, like he’s avoiding the paparazzi (he WILL KNOW when you pull out your phone for a photo). But behind that serious expression, he’s truly a sweet, gorgeous, and loving boy!
