Story
Hi! I'm Paisley! I am a 1-year-old female Beagle/Pointer mix that weighs around 27 Lbs. I was found off of Harvester dr. in Rockwall on 04/29/24 and never reclaimed. I am super sweet and affectionate and love to give kisses! I am dog friendly and love making new friends. If you have another pet in the home, a meet and greet is encouraged to make sure we get along! My adoption fee is $125. I am spayed, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination, basic boosters, and heartworm negative! If you are interested in making me a member of your family, please visit https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ to fill out an application and RAC staff will be in touch with approved applicants to set up a meet and greet!  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. May 8, 2024, 7:42 pm

Story
Lucy is a loving sweet dog. She has lived with my family of 4 and 2 cats for 3 years. She gets along with the cats but tries to play with them at times which the cats don't appreciate. She loves walks but just short ones. She is a very lazy dog that spends most of the day curled up on the couch. She is crate trained for when we leave the house but sleeps in our bedroom. She gets along well with other dogs. Lucy does have a tumor on her side on top of her ribs. It does not cause her any pain but is something that needs to be removed. I have health issues and am not able to work anymore. We just can't afford the surgery. I am unable to take her for walks or keep up with her needing to go out. She is house trained for the most part, as long as you put her up when you leave. Please consider giving this sweet bundle of love a new home where she will be taken care of like she deserves.

Story
Hi! This is Pepper, a 7 year old beagle/lab mix. She was adopted around 3 years ago in North Carolina, but has been in Texas for 2 years. She is the absolute sweetest dog in the world. I’ve never seen her get aggressive. As Pepper has gotten older, she’s needed more frequent bathroom breaks, which has been challenging with my busy schedule. Pepper is slightly chunky at 40ish pounds, but that doesn’t stop her from running around and (usually) keeping up with other dogs. Ideally, Pepper would love a fenced yard as she likes to explore and can be stubborn at times. Something to note is that she does not enjoy fireworks and squeaky toys. It’s my hope that Pepper finds a caring family or couple that will love her as she transitions into her senior years.

Story
Benny is a senior boy with lots of energy, enthusiasm, love and affection. He lives with lots of other dogs and gets along with everyone. He would love to chase the cats if he could so might not be good in a home with cats. He loves a chance to use his Beagle voice but is not an excessive barker; only uses it when he has a reason. He loves being with his human almost as much as treat and meal times. He isn’t much for car rides, he is good about riding but whines seems nervous wondering where he’s going. Guessing in the past car rides did not end in fun activities for him. He’s a very social boy, loves humans of all sizes and ages and is always happy for rubs and attention. Benny has great house manners and although he uses a crate in his foster home he would be fine without one once he knows his routine. He is fully vetted - current with his vaccines, neutered, on heartworm and flea/tick prevention and he is microchipped.
