Meet Violet! Violet took to the skies to reach us, flying in alongside our girl Ernestine on a volunteer flight to freedom. Violet was found as a stray, and after a whole lot of coordination and kindness, she finally made her way to us. Violet is blind and deaf, and while she doesn't let this slow her down, she is looking for a home without stairs ~ or a human servant prepared to carry her up and down like the Beagle Queen she is. Meet BARNEY! Barney is an adorable, sweetheart! Look at that smiling face with the expressive eyes! He is about 1.5 years old, 20 pound, reddish brown and white color beagle, with cute freckled white paws and nose. Barney loves to go for walks; he is lively, playful, but also can settle down nicely. He does well in new situations, likes to cuddle and gives sweet "kisses" to his humans (including kids). Barney was found as a stray in rural North Carolina and a good Samaritan brought him to a vet office. Poor Barney did not understand why no one came to get him and he had lost the comforts of a home. He loves his food and is learning commands (especially if food is involved). She is very outgoing, happy, and loves attention. She, along with her two daughters, Carob & Cameo, were found in a parking area close to a storage business along with several other dogs. These 3 were happy and friendly and went running up to my foster…one even jumped in the car! Cleo was in season and Carob was obviously pregnant…dogs running the street when the owners should have taken the responsibility to take care of them. All 3 dogs are lucky…my foster found them and asked to bring them to our ranch. Carob is due to have her pups any day and Cleo & Cameo are vaccinated, spayed, and eating good. Now all they need is a forever home and that’s where you come in. Please give these wonderful dogs a chance. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. The rest is left to our imagination…St. Bernard for the face and coloring and tail? She is 3 yrs old…(estimated DOB 11/21/22). She also weighs 50#...but she’s not very tall at all. You can see in the video. She is the closest to the perfect dog I’ve ever seen. She is smart, calm, happy, gets along with all dogs, cats, people…Oh, my…what a sweet dog. She loves going outside and loves to sleep next to my feet at the computer…or dinner table…or next to my bed at night. She is house trained, crate trained, and leash trained. I haven’t had the opportunity to test her with children but I can’t imagine she’d have a problem with them unless they are loud and obnoxious…and what dog wouldn’t have a problem with that? She would love to have a home with a yard…to run and play…and a doggy door would be perfect. But, it’s not necessary…a house or apartment with many opportunities to go outside. She is not one to do lots of walking like hiking or running with you. She needs exercise…but not a lot. Don’t let her get overweight because of the Bassett legs.
