Well Mia is 4 years old. We got her off a friend of ours and we gave her nothing but the best for her. We have a child now and its really hard for us to be with her in a small apartment. Unfortunately she has shown some bad behaviors towards my baby so we have decided to re home her. We want someone that will love her and show her more of the world than we could of. She is a reactive dog. She probably wont get along with other dogs especially small dogs. We just want to find someone that will love her unconditionally. We looking for someone that has a back yard she can enjoy. Shes been a inside dog her whole life and she deserves a yard where she can run and play.

Meet Sly: The Handsome Shy-Guy Looking for a Forever Home! 1 year old, 60lb Sly found himself at the shelter in June of 2025. He was very nervous in his kennel at first, wary of people and timid. But with time out in the yard volunteers noticed he opened up, becoming playful with other dogs and more comfortable with people thanks to the help of his friends. He left the shelter on foster in September with one of our own team members at Dog Coalition LA! In his foster home, Sly has grown to love and seek affection from his foster parents and is practicing meeting new people. Though still nervous, we are seeing him come out of his shell and learn what it feels like to be a dog out in the real world. He loves spending time going on long neighborhood walks and chilling on a bed or in his crate, which also serves as a safe space for him if he’s feeling overwhelmed. Sly is potty trained and learning excellent leash manners. Sly is fostered in a home with 2 other dogs who help him to build his confidence and sense of security. For this reason, we require that he go to a home with at least one other dog. We’ve seen him be gentle, playful, and social with all kinds of dogs. He joins pack walks several times a week and is a beloved role model among his canine peers. He gets along beautifully with all dogs and is a huge asset to his pack walker thanks to his calm, respectful energy. This boy has had extensive training since puppyhood. He’s housebroken, crate trained, e-collar trained, loose-leash trained, has solid recall, and knows the "place" command. Meet Chepo: A Sweet Senior Gentleman Looking for a Forever Home! 7yr old, 93lb Chepo was surrendered to the shelter in May of 2025 because his family had to move out of the country and couldn’t bring him. This poor sweet senior man was initially anxious, but volunteers quickly found him to be quite friendly and after just a few outings, Chepo loved hanging out with his new human and dog friends. In shelter play groups he was described as gentle, dainty, social, enjoying mingling and chilling with other dogs. Our team at Dog Coalition fell in love with him and thanks to a dedicated foster, we were able to spring him out in June of 2025. Chepo has been in foster for over 6 months and we just can’t figure out why his forever home hasn’t been knocking down our door! In his foster home, Chepo is very sweet and affectionate and respectfully asks for pets. He is independent and will keep himself occupied with a chew toy, but prefers to stay close to people while doing so. Chepo is responsive to his name and comes when called, and will also move out of the way when asked. He is generally very attentive and has learned crate and leash training, even as an older fella. We get the sense that he used to live in a yard, so we’re very proud of this guy’s progress learning to be a wonderful inside dog as well! We believe Chepo would be a great solo companion or fit in nicely to a home with other well-balanced dogs. He also loves his foster cat siblings (see video) and would do well in a home with a friendly cat or two!
