I was at the shelter, about to be euthanized, shaking and afraid in my kennel when, all of a sudden, I found myself on my way to a wonderful, gentle lady who told me all is okay and right with the world now. I have spent a couple of months learning that I can trust people, and now—watch out, world—I am outta my shell! I have a lot of energy, I know all my basic commands, and I walk well on a leash! I also enjoy bedtime stories and will listen while you tell them! In case you haven’t noticed my sniffer, I have what they call a double nose. So, just in case you get lost going to the bathroom, I can find you a lot faster because I can smell better than most dogs. Seriously, I swear it’s true! I am good with other dogs. Cats? I have never seen one, so I don’t know! If you have older kids, that’s okay—I just don’t want to knock them over with me always being excited to experience new things. Yvette is in foster care in Huntington Beach SO Cal area. Yvette is such a nice compact little shepherd girl who is almost 3yrs old and weighs 60 pounds. She has been waiting awhile for a family and her friend we rescued with her has been adopted leaving Yvette alone and waiting. She is gentle and playful with other dogs the same size as her in her playgroup. She likes toys, scampering and bowing around the play yard and is great in the car and on leash. She still has puppy energy and may play a little to hard to be with really small dogs and she doesn't care for kitties. For a family this dog has an amazing personality and does her best to mind and please. Yvette could play ball from sunrise till bedtime and never tires of her favorite toy. She like water and on hot days can be seen splashing contentedly in her kiddie pool. The beach lake or river would be her idea of Heaven.
