Athena is a ten-month-old, spayed, Belgian Malinois mix. Athena is very affectionate, loves to snuggle, and is very playful, great with adults/kids and other dogs. She adjusts well to change. Athena is very active with lots of wonderful energy. Prior to us fostering her, she was used to living in an apartment, which made her very comfortable with pee pads. Like any other young pup, she still needs some training. Athena’s previous owner was no longer able to look after her and instead of having Athena be sent back to the dog shelter, we opted to foster her until we could find a new home for her. We would like Athena to be able to find a loving and caring home.

This is Gio. He is 2yrsish. He is loving and is waiting for his human/s. He has the sage/wise soul. He is exceptionally trained, 5wk board and train, continued weekly day long adventures with his trainer, and is welcome for group training on Saturday's in San Marcos for his lifetime. He walks well, loves to jog. He loves to chase bunnies and is easily directable on/off leash. He will come to you with e-collar, crate, place cots, beds and 3 training sessions $450 homing fee to cover training sessions where you will learn his language for successful transition. He loves belly rubs, truck rides, walks, ball, brushes. He is so good and lovely. He just wants to be with his people and loves to be touching. He was neglected and abused prior to rescue and continues to be sweet and loving with us while he waits for you. We never tested him around children, cats, or small dogs. He is not the reg high energy of a Belgian, though does need mental and physical stimulation.

05/22/24 07:26 pet was bitting at leash and super fractious during IMP. Place in isolation to calm down and now pet has been coming around very nice. Appraoches well and is very loving. Able to leash and walk to new GP kennel.06/06/24 15:18 Due to over-crowding in the shelter, kenneled with another pet of similar size, no issues with each other, both are doing well, no signs of aggression from either.07/03/24 17:27 Visited with pup today and offered a treat. Pup was interested, came up to the door, took treat, gently and gave kisses afterwards. Nice pup.

We met this beautiful girl at a local Walmart while collecting Toys for Tots with the Explorers. A family was moving out of state with four kids and dogs in a small RV and didn't have room for her. We took her in and she became an unofficial mascot of our post and she wound up housed in our place. She has amazing eyes, beautiful coat and is full of energy. She is wonderful with people, especially kids. Best of all she is not finicky. She'll make a fine guard dog and companion for everyone in your home. Unfortunately changes at the station, as well as my own living situation--I am going overseas, and getting married--mean we need to find her a more permanent and still loving home.

Roxy is a extremely sweet and silly dog that loves her people deeply. She is about 3.5 years old and was originally adopted from the local shelter about 2.5 years ago. She loves toys, especially hard rubber toys, plush toys with some crinkle in them, and of course the ball! She also enjoys her flirt pole and has gotten quite good at catching it and letting it go when you give her a minute. Roxy has behavioral problems and would need an experienced owner who has the time and funds for training with a professional trainer. She is reactive and has trouble regulating her big feelings. She would need a calm home without any small animals and I believe would do best in a less urban setting. Medical Condition: Roxy has symmetrical lupoid onychodystrophy or SLO, which is an uncommon immune disorder affecting the nails that is very painful when untreated. She is on medication for this and has been responding well, but will need to be on this medication for the rest of her life.
