Story
Skye was seen roaming the neighborhood one day. As I returned home, she came up to my car. Very friendly. We looked for some IDs. We called animal control in our area. They came out and checked for a chip; there wasn’t a chip. So after a few days of trying to locate an owner, we kept her in our home. Animal control came back to get her a few days later. After checking to see if an owner had been located, we were informed no one had claimed her. She is a beautiful, well behaved, approximately 6-8 months old. However, she just does not get alone with the other dog in the home. We have had him for about 3 years. Skye would be a great addition to someone’s home. She loves being outside; with plenty of room to roam. I am really surprised nobody claimed her. For the most part, she is very quiet; until she gets hungry.

Story
Meet Boonie, a 5-year-old gentle soul who`s looking for a calm and understanding home. From our observations, Boonie seems to be a bit shy and prefers to take things at her own pace. Our volunteers have noticed that while initially reserved, she gradually warms up and may engage in light interactions with other dogs when she feels comfortable. Boonie appears to appreciate a low-key environment where she can feel safe and secure. Come meet Boonie today!

Story
Athena is a fun, spunky, sweet girl. At just 1 year and 3 months old, she is still learning about the world around her and growing her confidence. -Loyal: Once you gain her trust she will be your #1 fan and is very loving to her person -Playful: She still has puppy energy and loves to play and be active-Super smart: She picks up training quickly and understands verbal corrections easily. VERY treat motivated-Potty trained: While she is still working on going to the door, she usually does her business very quickly once going outside-Good on leash: She does GREAT on the leash and loves to go on walks/runs-Social: She likes to play with new friends but can sometimes be timid at first when meeting other pups, once she trusts them they will be her new best friend. She would be GREAT as a second dog to join the pack.-Kid friendly: While still needing to take things slow, she has done well with kids of all ages.-Confident & blossoming: She may start off timid but will quickly warm up, she is a sweet and affectionate girl to all humans once she knows they can be trusted. Athena had surgery on both of her back legs due to growing too fast as a pup. She is now healed, spayed, healthy, and ready for her new home! If you`re looking for a loving, loyal, and playful best friend, Athena might be the perfect match for you!

Story
Meet Clara!Clara is an energetic and playful 2 month old Black Mouth Cur mix currently residing at our Aledo Ranch and Sanctuary with her siblings. These little ones absolutely love being outside, especially learning from the older German Shepherds here! Clara is already picking up good habits like going outside for potty breaks. She’s part of a very active litter that thrives in a home with lots of exercise, social exposure, and proper training. A family with working breed experience would be ideal for Clara, as she’s mouthy and would do best in a home without small children. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
Meet Marley, an adorable and insanely handsome boy. Marley is 1 year old, around 40 lbs mixed breed pupster. His beautiful tan coat, big brown eyes and pointy ears make him hard to miss and forget. Just look at him! Marley was found as a stray in June 2024 and brought to Dallas Animal Services shelter at only 4 months old. Luckily, he was adopted the very next day and has been living with his current family ever since. Marley is a pup of a medium temperament and energy level. He enjoys walks, chasing balls, playing outside with toys but he is also perfectly happy to chill, cuddle and have a quiet movie night with his family (hint- he likes dog movies!). He is a very loyal dog and a great guardian of his humans and his household. He loves kids! While Marley currently lives with his two furry brothers, he prefers to fly solo and to have an undivided attention of his humans. This amazing boy is full of love and craves human affection. Marley is neutered, microchipped and up to date with vaccinations. He is house, crate trained and good on leash. Knows many commands (even go to sleep!! in the evenings. He just prances right to his bed!). He is a quick learner and will follow your directions. This adorable, loyal boy deserves his perfect, forever home with his humans.
