Story

Scooby joined our family in July 2024 after I found him sitting alone on a sidewalk. From the beginning, he has been gentle, affectionate, and eager to bond with people. He is playful and adventurous and enjoys outdoor time, but he also has a calm, snuggly side and loves being close to his family. Scooby is smart and food-motivated, making him easy to engage and train. He has lived happily with our small dog and is friendly with visiting family members and caregivers. He is loyal and protective in a calm, reassuring way and thrives in a loving, family-oriented environment. Due to recent hand surgery and allergies, I’m no longer able to give Scooby the activity and outdoor time he deserves. This decision comes from love and the desire to see him continue to thrive. Scooby would do best with a family or individual who can offer regular exercise, companionship, and affection. In return, he will be a devoted, joyful companion. DAISY and POPPY ARE SIBLINGS. All abandoned in the country. There were originally three and one was adopted on her own. We have had these precious girls many months now, with plenty of opportunities to watch their interactions and play style. While, in general, we do NOT recommend adopting siblings, these two have proven to be the exception to the rule. They LOVE each other and have never, ever had a raised lip, a side-eyed look, a growl or anything else. We would really love for them to be adopted together. HOWEVER, WE WILL CONSIDER ADOPTING THEM SEPARATELY. All the girls are very smart, but Daisy is especially so. Daisy will sit and watch the hummingbirds and watch for the squirrels! We laughingly call Daisy the "good sister" because she is low key and wants to please you - obeying whatever you ask. Meet Luna, lover of walks, food, and stuffies. She is an active 5-year-old labrador/black mouth cur mix that weighs about 50 pounds. She has beautiful golden eyes with amazing built in â&#194&#128&#194&#156eye-linerâ&#194&#128&#194&#157. She also has some battle scars from rough encounters with other dogs, leading her to being very dog selective. She has a sensitive tummy, requiring a low-fat diet, and early signs of hip dysplasia. Both are controlled with inexpensive medication and supplements. She is up to date on all of her vaccines, she is spayed, and microchipped. Luna is high energy, so she is always up to go for a walk, but also enjoys a good nap. She likes to engage in zoomies and serious sessions of play to burn energy. She would like a home where she can be the one-and-only pet. Small children stress her out, so we'd want to make a match with kids thoughtfully. She is good with older children and teens who can respect her boundaries. Luna is housebroken, leash, and muzzle trained. She likes to sleep in her kennel at night, but prefers a little more space when left at home alone. She is a smart girl who knows a variety of other commands including; sit, stay, lay, spin, hug, place, out/in, shake, touch, and come. She has a very strong nose and loves a game of hiding and finding treats. We have made the heartbreaking decision to rehome our girl because as our baby becomes more active, she is becoming more stressed. Luna deserves a home where she can relax and we want to help her find that. She loves her people hard and would make a great addition to the right home.
