Hi, my name is Mellow, and I'm camping out under the Christmas Tree at my foster home, waiting for Santa to bring me a new forever home! I am one of a litter of 4 that was abandoned on the side of the road, locked in a crate, in the heat of summer. A Good Samaritan found us and took us to the vet who saved our lives. I have fully recovered and I am thriving in my foster home. Foster mom says that I am the sweetest little cuddle bug ever! I love romping around with other dogs, but I am also perfectly happy to entertain myself with toys. I may be a little shy when you first meet me, but it won't take long before I will be trotting around after you from room to room and sitting attentively by your side. Buttons is all wrapped up in a big red bow to show that he's ready to bring some fun holiday spirit to his forever home! He is five months old and weighs about 25 bs. We are guessing he is a Black Mouth Cur mix, but he's really just a wonderful, purebred Mutt! He loves toys so much, but he can defluff and desqueak toys in record time, so durable chew toys are best for him. He loves play wrestling with the other dog in his foster home, and they run zoomies and play chase in the backyard. Buttons has an affectionate side too. He loves to lie on foster mom's lap, and he doesn't have a clue that he's getting too big to be a lap dog. He stares at her with his big beautiful brown eyes so intently that she has to laugh. He is food and treat motivated which helps with training. He is housebroken, crate trained, and rides well in a car. DAISY and POPPY ARE SIBLINGS. All abandoned in the country. There were originally three and one was adopted on her own. We have had these precious girls many months now, with plenty of opportunities to watch their interactions and play style. While, in general, we do NOT recommend adopting siblings, these two have proven to be the exception to the rule. They LOVE each other and have never, ever had a raised lip, a side-eyed look, a growl or anything else. We would really love for them to be adopted together. HOWEVER, WE WILL CONSIDER ADOPTING THEM SEPARATELY. All the girls are very smart, but Daisy is especially so. Daisy will sit and watch the hummingbirds and watch for the squirrels! We laughingly call Daisy the "good sister" because she is low key and wants to please you - obeying whatever you ask. Meet Tuesday. She is 2.8 years old and a Black Mouth Curr mix. She weighs 70+lbs, yes, she is a big girl full of love. She is happy and playful and just as sweet as can be! She loves to be outside playing or doing zoomies but she loves to be inside in the AC. She is a bit shy at first, especially to men, but she warms up quickly. She loves to run, she is a runner and loves simple walks and her favorite love? TOYS!!! She talks just to make sure you know she is still there, and SHE IS GOOD WITH CATS with slow intro. She is also good with other dogs, preferable MALE but loves the attention and that would make her happy as a clam if she was your Only dog to dote on. She is super smart is learning more commands.She is potty trained, housebroken and sleeps all night! As big as she is, she thinks she is a lapdog. Her fav sport: chasing squirrels! She would not give up. However, she listens when you tell her to "leave it" She loves walks and does good on leash. She would do best with older children, if any. Shrieky noises, like small children playing, appear to irritate her though she has had successful interactions with children who are calm. ##2080694##
