Story

Scooby joined our family in July 2024 after I found him sitting alone on a sidewalk. From the beginning, he has been gentle, affectionate, and eager to bond with people. He is playful and adventurous and enjoys outdoor time, but he also has a calm, snuggly side and loves being close to his family. Scooby is smart and food-motivated, making him easy to engage and train. He has lived happily with our small dog and is friendly with visiting family members and caregivers. He is loyal and protective in a calm, reassuring way and thrives in a loving, family-oriented environment. Due to recent hand surgery and allergies, I’m no longer able to give Scooby the activity and outdoor time he deserves. This decision comes from love and the desire to see him continue to thrive. Scooby would do best with a family or individual who can offer regular exercise, companionship, and affection. In return, he will be a devoted, joyful companion. Hi, my name is Mellow, and I was camping out under the Christmas Tree at my foster home, watching and waiting for Santa to bring me a new forever home! But, alas, no forever home yet. I'm still optimistic that the new year will bring me luck and a new forever home. I am one of a litter of 4 that was abandoned on the side of the road, locked in a crate, in the heat of summer. A Good Samaritan found us and took us to the vet who saved our lives. I have fully recovered and I am thriving in my foster home. Foster mom says that I am the sweetest little cuddle bug ever! I love romping around with other dogs, but I am also perfectly happy to entertain myself with toys. I may be a little shy when you first meet me, but it won't take long before I will be trotting around after you from room to room and sitting attentively by your side. All you need is Love....and Buttons! He is six months old and weighs about 30 lbs. We are guessing he is a Black Mouth Cur, possibly mixed with Basenji. Buttons rarely barks! Everyone who meets Buttons loves Buttons! He is sweet, funny, goofy, loveable, and affectionate. He loves toys, but he can defluff and desqueak toys in record time, so durable chew toys are best for him. He loves play wrestling with the other dog in his foster home, and they run zoomies and play chase in the backyard. Buttons has an affectionate side too. He loves to lie on foster mom's lap, and he doesn't have a clue that he's getting too big to be a lap dog. He stares at her with his big beautiful brown eyes so intently that she has to laugh. DAISY and POPPY ARE SIBLINGS. All abandoned in the country. There were originally three and one was adopted on her own. We have had these precious girls many months now, with plenty of opportunities to watch their interactions and play style. While, in general, we do NOT recommend adopting siblings, these two have proven to be the exception to the rule. They LOVE each other and have never, ever had a raised lip, a side-eyed look, a growl or anything else. We would really love for them to be adopted together. HOWEVER, WE WILL CONSIDER ADOPTING THEM SEPARATELY. All the girls are very smart, but Daisy is especially so. Daisy will sit and watch the hummingbirds and watch for the squirrels! We laughingly call Daisy the "good sister" because she is low key and wants to please you - obeying whatever you ask.
