Story
Roxy is a 3 year old, very playful, energetic, border collie and husky mix. We got her from Sacramento SPCA when she was about 5 months old. Roxy has been spayed and is up to date on her shots.Roxy is very fun to have around. She likes to run, yet she always comes back to you no matter how far she has gone. She is curious about everything and loves to explore the world. You can always expect her to be sniffing at the new thing you are looking at no matter whether it is a robot vacuum or an onion. Roxy is a very smart dog. She learned how to do her business outside two days after coming home. She has learned tricks like Sit, Figure 8, Crawl and more. Roxy is a very playful and loyal dog to have. We have had a lot of adventures together for the last few years. That being said, Roxy is an energetic dog. She has been too much for us since the birth of our first child. We have all the dog stuff and a dog trainer that we have prepaid lessons for life, and would help with the transition.

Story
Maple is the sweetest, most loving puppy. We are looking to rehome her since we both work long hours. She’s playful and loves to be near you. She’s half-house trained, as she has been getting way better at being potty trainer. She has lots of energy but sleeps a lot as well. Happy puppy with no behavioral issues.

Story
Forest is a sweet little medium to high energy Chihuahua and Border Collie mix. He was born around 9/1/2024 and currently weighs 20 lbs. His DNA test came back with 15 breeds and Chihuahua/Border Collie were the highest %'s. Forest is playful, loyal and smart. He likes the company of other friendly dogs and likes playing chase and wrestling with them. He is beginning to enjoy balls and toys and will occasionally play with them. He Iikes chewing on bully sticks and other chew toys and bones. He loves going for walks, hiking and will swim sometimes. In the evenings he enjoys couch time with his humans. He desires to be a large part of his family’s life and likes being included in daily activities. Forest can be shy when meeting new people but has shown he will warm up with slow, calm introductions. He has a tendency to be somewhat timid but his confidence has grown quite a bit in his foster home. Once he is comfortable in a home he is a happy, delightful, playful and cuddly boy. He has a preference for women but does warm up to men in time. Forest is crate trained, walks politely on a leash and is house broken in his foster home. He currently lives with friendly dogs of various sizes and gets a long well with them. He also lives with dog savvy cats but will challenge shy kitties and chase if they run. Children would likely overwhelm him so only dog savvy, respectful kids over 12 are recommended. He would not do well being left home alone daily for long hours. He enjoys a yard and is an alert barker so no apartments for him. Forest would do well in an active home with a confident, playful dog companion to help boost his confidence, help show him the ropes and keep him company while his humans are away from home. He would not do well with an overly dominant dog who bullies him. A person who has the time, patience and willingness to work with a shy dog would be ideal. Forest is a sweet, playful dog who is a joy to foster. He is patiently waiting for his forever home. Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog......and visit our website www.siarescuers.org to learn more about our rescue group. Adoption fees range from $350-$475 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us. We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!

Story
I adopted BamBam almost four years ago, and he is a very sweet dog, he is four years old and has an energetic, loving personality! He has had some issues with resourcing guarding me, his owner, and I think he would do better in a new home. It would be best for him to live in a single person house hold where he would be the only pet and could have plenty of attention from his owner. If you are interested, please email or message me and I will explain in more detail about the issues he has had and answer any questions. He is a very sweet boy and I would love to find him a loving home. :)

Story
Sicario is a beautiful sweet cuddly blue heeler. He is 3 years old. He is beyond smart and patient. I got him after my ex brought him home one day and have tried my hardest to do right by him. He is amazing with humans, children. He is very laid back and not really an aggressive barker. The only thing is he was abandoned for a while and grew an attachment to another female dog (8 years old) that my ex also left there. It is very crucial that he gets rehomed with her and that there are NO OTHER pets in the home. They are VERY territorial. I would prefer a home with a decent size yard though they aren’t used to that. The female is a German shepherd and is also very sweet and friendly with humans, children.

Story
This beautiful shepherd is a 68 pound spayed female approximately four years old. Ashlyn came to our rescue group as a foster from the Sacramento County Animal Shelter. She is current on all of her vaccines and is on heartworm preventative. Ashlyn is a very agile and active dog. She loved playing with her other foster male Shepherd until he got adopted and now she’s lonely and wants a playmate! She would do best with a large male dog that is able to handle her exuberant play style. Ashlyn is very playful and loves to chase balls and frisbees. And of course she loves her squeaky toys! She is also crate trained, housebroken, and good on a leash. Ashlyn requires a minimum 5 foot high solid fence. Ashlyn does have a high prey drive, so no small animals including dogs. She has also completed obedience I and II. Ashlyn is very smart and loves to please her human and also bonds very quickly to her human. She is also very protective of her home. Feel free to call foster mom Stacie at (530) 559-1848 if you have any questions.
