Forest is a sweet little medium to high energy Chihuahua and Border Collie mix. He was born around 9/1/2024 and currently weighs 20 lbs. His DNA test came back with 15 breeds and Chihuahua/Border Collie were the highest %'s. Forest is playful, loyal and smart. He likes the company of other friendly dogs and likes playing chase and wrestling with them. He is beginning to enjoy balls and toys and will occasionally play with them. He Iikes chewing on bully sticks and other chew toys and bones. He loves going for walks, hiking and will swim sometimes. In the evenings he enjoys couch time with his humans. He desires to be a large part of his family’s life and likes being included in daily activities. Forest can be shy when meeting new people but has shown he will warm up with slow, calm introductions. He has a tendency to be somewhat timid but his confidence has grown quite a bit in his foster home. Once he is comfortable in a home he is a happy, delightful, playful and cuddly boy. He has a preference for women but does warm up to men in time. Forest is crate trained, walks politely on a leash and is house broken in his foster home. He currently lives with friendly dogs of various sizes and gets a long well with them. He also lives with dog savvy cats but will challenge shy kitties and chase if they run. Children would likely overwhelm him so only dog savvy, respectful kids over 12 are recommended. He would not do well being left home alone daily for long hours. He enjoys a yard and is an alert barker so no apartments for him. Forest would do well in an active home with a confident, playful dog companion to help boost his confidence, help show him the ropes and keep him company while his humans are away from home. He would not do well with an overly dominant dog who bullies him. A person who has the time, patience and willingness to work with a shy dog would be ideal. Forest is a sweet, playful dog who is a joy to foster. He is patiently waiting for his forever home. Fava is a sweet and playful young boy who is full of personality and charm. He is a friendly but sensitive pup who may take a moment to feel comfortable, but once he gets acquainted, his fun and loving true self really shines through. Fava loves to play and has a silly side, especially when it comes to shredding stuffed toys and chasing tennis balls. He brings lots of energy and excitement to everything he does and would love a home where he can run, play, and enjoy all the fun that comes with being a young dog. Fava is the shy sort who would do best with a calm and supportive family who can help put him at ease, so we recommend that any children in his new home are age 10 or older so they can understand his needs. Fava told us that he is not a fan of small dogs or cats, so he is required to go to a home without them. If there is another large dog in the home, an introduction at the shelter will be required to see if Fava and his new friend will be a good match. Fava is looking for a loving home that will embrace his playful spirit and help guide him as he grows. Courtesy post for rehoming. Patti or Patti Melt and Patti Cake asa her foster lights to call her is a loyal and affectionate beauty. Her favorite activities are catching the ball playing frisbee and snuggling up on the couch with her person. She is food motivated and will do almost anything for treats her stunningly, beautiful ice blue eyes are real showstopper. She is a petite girl at about 45 pounds. She is making progress on leash and is eager to please. She would make an excellent running partner or would simply love to be with her person wherever as long as she is by their side. Patti can be left alone, but needs to feel secure in the area that she is left. She does not like to be in a secluded small space. It takes her a while to warm up to new people so she will require some patience with that. She also enjoys playing with other dogs, but needs close monitoring as she doesn’t have all of the proper social skills yet. She would likely do well with another doggy sibling as long as intros are properly done. Her unwavering and fierce loyalty are her greatest attributes. Shep is a 10 year old and 112 pound dog who is looking for his forever home. He`s an absolute love who enjoys leaning into you for brushing and rolling over for belly rubs. If you`re looking for a chill dog who`s friends with everyone he meets, then look no further!Shep has gone on FURlough and is reportedly the sweetest boy you will ever meet! He loved interacting with children and other dogs when out on a walk and loved to sunbathe while relaxing at the park.
