Story
Packer is a puppy Border Collie/Retriever mix who has been with our family since he was 8 weeks old. He is very attached to his family and has been raised with teenagers and a 6-year-old whom he loves dearly. He also loves to play with other dogs. Packer has been an anxious pup since he was young, which has turned into a fear of other people. We attempted training classes, but they were a bit too much for him. We are looking for an experienced adopter who can help him work through these behaviors and find the right environment to thrive.Packer is:• House trained• Spayed/Neutered and microchipped• Good with teenagers and younger children• Social and playful with other dogs• Very loyal and attached to his familyCrate trainedPacker needs a patient home familiar with fearful behaviors. Story
Roxy is a 3 year old, very playful, energetic, border collie and husky mix. We got her from Sacramento SPCA when she was about 5 months old. Roxy has been spayed and is up to date on her shots.Roxy is very fun to have around. She likes to run, yet she always comes back to you no matter how far she has gone. She is curious about everything and loves to explore the world. You can always expect her to be sniffing at the new thing you are looking at no matter whether it is a robot vacuum or an onion. Roxy is a very smart dog. She learned how to do her business outside two days after coming home. She has learned tricks like Sit, Figure 8, Crawl and more. Roxy is a very playful and loyal dog to have. We have had a lot of adventures together for the last few years. That being said, Roxy is an energetic dog. She has been too much for us since the birth of our first child. We have all the dog stuff and a dog trainer that we have prepaid lessons for life, and would help with the transition.

Story
Max Goof is a friendly and independent boy who`s looking for a forever home where he can truly be himself. This playful guy loves having fun with his favorite people, but he also knows how to slow things down and enjoy a mellow evening once the day`s adventures are over. Max`s greatest wish is to find a loving family who will appreciate his unique personality and give him the time and space he needs to show off his loyal, affectionate side. Once he feels comfortable, Max is a wonderful companion who is happiest simply spending time with the people he trusts. Max came to us alongside his close companion, Fix-It Felix, and the two share a very special bond. They rely on one another to feel safe and secure, so Max and Felix are required to find their forever home together. New spaces can make them a little shy, so we recommend that any children in their new home are age 10 or older so they can understand and respect their needs. Max and Felix are selective about the other dogs they share their space with. If their potential adopters already have a canine companion at home, an introduction at the shelter will be required to help determine whether everyone will be a good match. If you`re looking for a pair of loyal companions who can bring both playful fun and cozy companionship into your home, Max and Felix are ready to start their next adventure together!Adoption Price: $150Perfect Pair with Fix-It Felix 61133962

Story
His owner recently diagnosed with dementia and unable to care for him. Originally adopted 2 years ago from Petsmart or Petco. We believe he is a border collie Australian Sheppard mix. He has a great temperament. He has been living with two dogs just fine, I don’t know about cats. He has been around children here and there and did fine. We have him up to date on vaccines, he is neutered. Mellow dog, with a desire to love on his owner.

Story
Forest is a sweet little medium to high energy Chihuahua and Border Collie mix. He was born around 9/1/2024 and currently weighs 20 lbs. His DNA test came back with 15 breeds and Chihuahua/Border Collie were the highest %'s. Forest is playful, loyal and smart. He likes the company of other friendly dogs and likes playing chase and wrestling with them. He is beginning to enjoy balls and toys and will occasionally play with them. He Iikes chewing on bully sticks and other chew toys and bones. He loves going for walks, hiking and will swim sometimes. In the evenings he enjoys couch time with his humans. He desires to be a large part of his family’s life and likes being included in daily activities. Forest can be shy when meeting new people but has shown he will warm up with slow, calm introductions. He has a tendency to be somewhat timid but his confidence has grown quite a bit in his foster home. Once he is comfortable in a home he is a happy, delightful, playful and cuddly boy. He has a preference for women but does warm up to men in time. Forest is crate trained, walks politely on a leash and is house broken in his foster home. He currently lives with friendly dogs of various sizes and gets a long well with them. He also lives with dog savvy cats but will challenge shy kitties and chase if they run. Children would likely overwhelm him so only dog savvy, respectful kids over 12 are recommended. He would not do well being left home alone daily for long hours. He enjoys a yard and is an alert barker so no apartments for him. Forest would do well in an active home with a confident, playful dog companion to help boost his confidence, help show him the ropes and keep him company while his humans are away from home. He would not do well with an overly dominant dog who bullies him. A person who has the time, patience and willingness to work with a shy dog would be ideal. Forest is a sweet, playful dog who is a joy to foster. He is patiently waiting for his forever home. Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog......and visit our website www.siarescuers.org to learn more about our rescue group. Adoption fees range from $350-$475 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us. We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!

Story
Beau Border Collie Mix Male about 1 year old Beau is a happy, playful boy with a goofy personality and a big love for both toys and people. He's the kind of dog that will happily zoom around the yard one minute, then climb right into your lap for attention the next. After being rescued off the euthanasia list and transported to us, Beau was a little shy at first, but he's really come out of his shell and turned into such a fun, affectionate dog. He loves to play, explore, and be part of whatever his people are doing. We think he may even enjoy water and would likely make a great adventure buddy! Beau has a moderate energy level and would do best in a moderately active home where he can get regular playtime, walks, and attention. He could do well as an only dog or with another playful dog companion. About Beau: Neutered Up to date on vaccines Microchipped Potty trained Crate trained Walks well on leash Knows sit Dog friendly Because Beau shows interest in chickens and ducks, we think a home without cats or small animals would be best. We're unsure how he does with young children, so older respectful kids may be the best fit. Beau is looking for a family that will continue helping him build confidence while giving him the love, playtime, and adventures he deserves. If you're looking for a sweet, silly companion with a playful spirit, Beau may be your perfect match. Interested in meeting Beau?
