Meet Apache! Apache is a 2-year-old Australian Shepherd/Maremma/ border collie is our best guest weighing about 75/80 pounds. He is a gentle giant with a heart of gold and has never met a stranger. Apache is wonderful with dogs, cats, and children, making him an easy fit for many families. He’s a sweet, affectionate boy who loves being with his people and has a calm, easygoing personality. Despite being partially deaf, Apache navigates life beautifully and doesn’t let it slow him down. He is eager to please, enjoys companionship, and is happiest when included in family activities. Apache is looking for a loving home where he can continue being the loyal, gentle companion he was born to be. He is a friendly but sensitive pup who may take a moment to feel comfortable, but once he gets acquainted, his fun and loving true self really shines through. Fava loves to play and has a silly side, especially when it comes to shredding stuffed toys and chasing tennis balls. He brings lots of energy and excitement to everything he does and would love a home where he can run, play, and enjoy all the fun that comes with being a young dog. Fava is the shy sort who would do best with a calm and supportive family who can help put him at ease, so we recommend that any children in his new home are age 10 or older so they can understand his needs. Fava told us that he is not a fan of small dogs or cats, so he is required to go to a home without them. If there is another large dog in the home, an introduction at the shelter will be required to see if Fava and his new friend will be a good match. Forest is a sweet little medium to high energy Chihuahua and Border Collie mix. He was born around 9/1/2024 and currently weighs 20 lbs. His DNA test came back with 15 breeds and Chihuahua/Border Collie were the highest %'s. Forest is playful, loyal and smart. He likes the company of other friendly dogs and likes playing chase and wrestling with them. He is beginning to enjoy balls and toys and will occasionally play with them. He Iikes chewing on bully sticks and other chew toys and bones. He loves going for walks, hiking and will swim sometimes. In the evenings he enjoys couch time with his humans. He desires to be a large part of his family’s life and likes being included in daily activities. Forest can be shy when meeting new people but has shown he will warm up with slow, calm introductions. He has a tendency to be somewhat timid but his confidence has grown quite a bit in his foster home. Once he is comfortable in a home he is a happy, delightful, playful and cuddly boy. He has a preference for women but does warm up to men in time. Forest is crate trained, walks politely on a leash and is house broken in his foster home. He currently lives with friendly dogs of various sizes and gets a long well with them. He also lives with dog savvy cats but will challenge shy kitties and chase if they run. Children would likely overwhelm him so only dog savvy, respectful kids over 12 are recommended. He would not do well being left home alone daily for long hours. He enjoys a yard and is an alert barker so no apartments for him. Forest would do well in an active home with a confident, playful dog companion to help boost his confidence, help show him the ropes and keep him company while his humans are away from home. He would not do well with an overly dominant dog who bullies him. A person who has the time, patience and willingness to work with a shy dog would be ideal. Forest is a sweet, playful dog who is a joy to foster. He is patiently waiting for his forever home. Courtesy post for rehoming. Patti or Patti Melt and Patti Cake asa her foster lights to call her is a loyal and affectionate beauty. Her favorite activities are catching the ball playing frisbee and snuggling up on the couch with her person. She is food motivated and will do almost anything for treats her stunningly, beautiful ice blue eyes are real showstopper. She is a petite girl at about 45 pounds. She is making progress on leash and is eager to please. She would make an excellent running partner or would simply love to be with her person wherever as long as she is by their side. Patti can be left alone, but needs to feel secure in the area that she is left. She does not like to be in a secluded small space. It takes her a while to warm up to new people so she will require some patience with that. She also enjoys playing with other dogs, but needs close monitoring as she doesn’t have all of the proper social skills yet. She would likely do well with another doggy sibling as long as intros are properly done. Her unwavering and fierce loyalty are her greatest attributes. If you love herding dogs and are looking for a velcro dog, Molly is your girl! This sweetheart is absolutely dedicated to her human. Molly will attempt to hug you every second of every minute she is with you. Trying to pick something up off the floor? Nope, you're getting smothered in kisses. Want to go to the bathroom by yourself? Uh un, no you may not shut that door without this sleek little shadow zipping in faster than lightning. Molly was brought to the shelter as a stray, and her coat and behaviors show she was out on a grand adventure for a bit. Now that she is clean and groomed, this black beauty is a cuddle bug who easily redirects from inspecting the trash. Molly needs slow introductions to other dogs and does well with submissive dogs. She does very well with redirection and distraction when she starts to get antsy around other dogs. Really, these behaviors are insecurity of her environment, but she has learned to adapt to pack life quite easily. Her herding instincts are very strong and she loves to play with the herding ball and direct the other dogs in games of chase. Molly has not been tested with cats, but she would likely chase them. She is a little nervous when loose in the car, but rides very well in her kennel. She likes to bark at grey trucks in particular. Molly is approximately 2 years old, is spayed, and is UTD on her vaccinations. She will need an active family who can give her the exercise and mental stimulation this girl needs to thrive!

Phoebe is a 9 year old purebred miniature Australian Shepherd. She is very loving and affectionate, and really enjoys being pet and playing tug of war. Phoebe has lived with another dog for 7 years, and toddlers for the last 4 years without any issues. She is very food motivated, and will learn tricks easily when someone teaches them to her. We are rehoming her because we have a very busy schedule and feel she needs a home that will have more time to spend with her and enjoy her. She can be anxious when in new places, around fireworks or other loud sounds. Her anxiety looks like panting and pacing the room.
