Story
Sterling is a PERFECT SIZE 31 pound young (1.5-2 year old) female border collie mix. She has healed beautifully from a broken leg after being hit by a car. She is housebroken and crate trained. She can be shy at first but warms up well to both adults and older children. She gets along well with other dogs and is ok with her foster cat. She may benefit from living with another dog for leash walking confidence. She gets nervous in the car but doubt she has been acclimated to car travel. She is VERY sweet and ready to learn anything new! Please contact Diana at (510) 333-4420 or theperfectdogrescue@gmail.com or fill out the adoption application:  http://www.theperfectdog.org/TPDadoptapp.doc May 27, 2025, 2:51 pm

Story
Traka is a 1-2 year old 40lbs spayed border collie who is great with other dogs and people! She came to us with a broken leg, but her leg is  healed and she’s ready to go. This girl is HIGH DRIVE! She’s very busy and needs someone who understands the breed and will provide her with an outlet. She has high prey drive, so please no cats or livestock. She is crate trained, housebroken, and is great in the car, but please no apartments. She loves to go on leashed hikes. She is a beautiful and really fun and very sweet dog, but needs someone who understands the breed and will work with her.  Please contact Diana at (510) 333-4420 or theperfectdogrescue@gmail.com or fill out the adoption application:  http://www.theperfectdog.org/TPDadoptapp.doc April 23, 2025, 2:12 pm

Story
IN Santa Cruz! Meet Ranger, a 8 year old Border Collie male. Ranger is is typical border collie who is playful and super smart. Ranger came to us after his owner passed away. He was loved but didn’t get out too much. He was 1 of 4+ plus dogs and we think the dogs were left to their own devices. With this being said, Ranger can be nervous in public and is more of a homebody.  Ranger can be good with other dogs when he gains trust with them but we think he be best suited for a home as the only pet (no cats). Ranger’s ideal home would be: -a home where he can be a priority  -a home experienced with border collies or other herding breeds  -owners that are understanding of his sensitives in pubic  -would be best suited as the only pet Ranger is a fun loving border collie but he also has an off switch! He is perfectly happy relaxing on the couch hanging out with his owners. Ranger will make his people very happy but they also need to be understanding of his background and manage his environment.  Ranger is; fully house trained, has good house manners, no nuisance barking and is easy to live with. He also has some basic training under the right circumstances.  Ranger is is neutered, up-to-date and microchipped. If you would like to learn more about this sweet guy, please submit an application. https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new furever family.

Story
This is Kairo. He is 3 years old and loves to play fetch! He loves hugs and love pets. Unfortunately I have to make the heartbreaking decision to rehome him due to moving and I won’t be able to bring him with me. I have already reached out to friends and family and no one can take him….I am heartbroken because he is so loving and so smart and loyal. He loves the park and playing with squeaky toys. He’s great with kids and would love to be part of a family. He enjoys pup cups and anything savory. His favorite time of the day is when he gets to go on a walk to the park to play fetch. He’s very calm in the house and doesn’t bark. He can loves to play with people but will enjoy playing with a ball or squeaky toy by himself. He’s very loving and always wants to gives people hugs and a few kisses. I’m looking for a permanent home for him with loving, caring, and patient owners who will give him all the love and attention he needs.

Story
Hello! My name is Dennis and I'm a neutered, 8-month-old, Border Collie mix that will grow to be around 50lbs as an adult. My name may be Dennis but I promise I'm not a menace! I'm everything you would expect of a puppy; affectionate, playful, curious, energetic and eager to learn! I'm hoping for a family that's prepared to continue my training and give me tons of love and exercise! Once I've had a chance to get all my wiggles out, I'm very cuddly and enjoy getting belly rubs from all of my PHS friends. For more information about me, just ask Customer Service about Dennis ID# A959984  Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by.
