Story
Sweet, loyal, adventurous. We are looking for a forever home for this sweet girl. She is almost 3 months old and at the ideal age for bonding and early training. She loves to explore and play- she is always happy chase you around and will likely follow you anywhere you go. She is also always happy to get cuddles. She has grown up with other dogs, and is well socialized. She is great with young kids too. She loves attention and it would be great for her to go to a home with another dog, so she has a friend/playmate/companion, but not required. It would also be best for her to have a home with a yard, as she loves to explore. She is not spayed yet, but is up-to-date on vaccinations. No special needs. This sweet girl is still young, so she will need an owner with some patience and time, but in return she will become your new best friend.

Story
Dante is affectionate, engaging, and clearly enjoys spending time with his people. His superpower is coming back with great enthusiasm when his name is called. On a recent day trip, Dante proved to be a great adventure companion. He loaded into the car easily, rode well, and enthusiastically kicked things off with plenty of kisses. During a long walk in the country, Dante was very curious about the world around him. He took in new sights with interest, including a close encounter with a herd of cows. Like many dogs, he can become a bit vocal and excited when faced with unfamiliar animals or passing dogs, but he was responsive and easy to redirect. Dante would do best with an experienced handler who can provide structure, consistency, and continued guidance. Due to his tendency to become overstimulated in certain situations, he may not be the best fit for a home with small children. For someone looking for an affectionate, active companion on walks and outings, Dante has a lot to offer. Schedule an appointment to meet Dante at yoloshelter.org/dogs or email adopt@yoloshelter.org February 24, 2026, 1:29 pm

Story
Courtesy Listing – Lou Name: Lou Age: 7 months Sex: Neutered male Lou is a young, friendly pup looking for the right home through a courtesy listing. We are thinking he is probably a border collie/terrier mix. He is vaccinated, crate trained, and potty trained, and he does well with other dogs and is kid friendly. We are rehoming Lou due to his prey drive as he has killed a chicken and continues to focused on them, so he will need a home that can safely manage this behavior and does not have small livestock or free-roaming small animals. He currently has no medical concerns. ***Please note: Lou is not located at the shelter and is not under the shelter’s care. This is a courtesy post to help his owner find a suitable placement. All inquiries will be directed to the owner.*** Contact: Lauren laurenblack721@gmail.com If you’re interested in Lou and believe your home may be a good fit, please reach out directly to the owner using the contact information above.  February 17, 2026, 4:36 pm

Story
Autumn is a wonderful dog with a lovely heart. She is so affectionate and loving BUT she needs to be trained and we have found it difficult to keep a routine and consistency with our 4 year old son, who loves to do the exact opposite of what should be done when it comes to dog training. She loves children but tends to think she is one of them, and of course kids and dogs play differently. She is great with my 7 year old who understands boundaries, so I would suggest she end up in a home with kids 7+. She is a great walking partner, she loves playing fetch in the backyard, and she can even self-entertain. We love her very much but it seems we currently cannot provide the environment she needs to learn to be part of a family home. At the end of the day, she is a puppy and needs someone to devote the proper time and attention to her.
