Story
Autumn is a wonderful dog with a lovely heart. She is so affectionate and loving BUT she needs to be trained and we have found it difficult to keep a routine and consistency with our 4 year old son, who loves to do the exact opposite of what should be done when it comes to dog training. She loves children but tends to think she is one of them, and of course kids and dogs play differently. She is great with my 7 year old who understands boundaries, so I would suggest she end up in a home with kids 7+. She is a great walking partner, she loves playing fetch in the backyard, and she can even self-entertain. We love her very much but it seems we currently cannot provide the environment she needs to learn to be part of a family home. At the end of the day, she is a puppy and needs someone to devote the proper time and attention to her.

Blaze is 7 weeks old today and is one of mama Sophia’s pups. His DNA came back almost 100% Border Collie, and he is every bit the sweet, loving, playful puppy you’d expect. He loves romping around with his siblings and soaking up all the cuddles he can get. After a recent trip to the vet, we learned that Blaze may have a slight visual impairment. He’s not totally blind and navigates surprisingly well most people wouldn’t even notice! But we want to be proactive and set him up for success. His perfect home would include a friendly fur sibling (male or female) to help show him the ropes and be his little “seeing-eye buddy.” Blaze is a happy, resilient boy with so much love to give. Who’s ready to welcome this sweet baby into their home and heart? ##2646058##

Meet Jeff or as we like to call him, “Just Jeff.” This 1-year-old Cattle Dog is exactly what you’d expect from the breed: smart, busy, opinionated, and absolutely full of personality. Jeff happily comes to the front of his kennel, is easy to leash, and walks fairly well once he’s out and moving. He’s tolerant of touch but very wiggly with restraint. Jeff is a jumper when excited (which is often), very mouthy in a young, herdy way, and deeply committed to investigating absolutely everything around him. He’s also quite vocal, so apartment life likely isn’t his calling. Jeff will need a very experienced cattle dog owner who understands the breed’s intensity and drive. He requires training, consistency, clear rules, and firm boundaries — otherwise he will happily make his own decisions. Because of his jumping and mouthiness, he should not go to a home with young children. When walking past other dogs in the kennel, he can display reactivity. Outside, he initially greeted another dog with barking and raised hackles, but with a slow introduction he shifted into wanting to play, though his play style is forward, jumpy, and loud, and he’ll need guidance to learn more polite manners. He has not been tested with cats. Jeff is not a dog for a first-time owner, but for someone who truly loves this breed and all their quirky, challenging, brilliant traits, he has the potential to be an incredibly loyal and fun partner.
