Story
Skunk is a handsome 5-year-old black and white Labrador mix with a calm, easygoing personality that makes him an instant favorite. Found as a stray, Skunk has proven to be a gentle and well-mannered companion who is quiet in his kennel, easy to leash, and walks beautifully by your side. While he doesn’t show clear signs of prior training, he is very treat-motivated, which will make teaching him new skills both fun and rewarding. Skunk has a wonderful temperament and a medium-to-low energy level, making him an excellent match for someone looking for a more relaxed, laid-back dog. When meeting another dog, he remained neutral and often chose to do his own thing, showing no signs of aggression or concerning behavior; however, he may prefer the comfort of being the only dog in the home, so a dog-to-dog meet is recommended if there is a resident dog. Above all, Skunk is a sweet, companion who simply enjoys being near his people, whether that’s lounging at home or going for a stroll.

Story
Roy needs a new home to no fault of his own. Roy is a very lovable 11 year old dog who just wants to be everyone’s best friend. He is a little nervous when meeting new dogs but once he is properly introduced to a calm and non reactive dog he can live with another dog. He gets along best with dogs that are smaller than him and calm. Roy loves being around children because he loves to run and play with them but he does not do well cats because he tries to chase them. He is happy to be lazy with you during the day and go on long walks in the morning and evening. Even with his age he is very strong and likes to jog and play fetch. Roy is crate trained but has been sleeping out of the crate for many years without any accident or chewing/destruction. He is extremely food motivated and knows a few commands. He loves treat puzzles and chew treats. When you’re at work or school he will lay on the sofa and wait to greet you when you get home

Story
Meet Captain! Captain is a 1-year-old Queensland Heeler mix with a bright mind, an adventurous spirit, and all the charm you`d expect from a young herding breed. If you`re looking for a dog who is equal parts loyal companion, hiking buddy, and training partner, Captain may be your perfect match. This handsome boy is friendly, affectionate, and eager to connect with people. He loves greeting his favorite humans with a wiggly body and a happy tail, often leaning in for pets and attention. While he can be a little stressed in the shelter environment, his social and loving personality shines through wherever he goes. As a true herding breed, Captain comes equipped with all the instincts that make Heelers so intelligent and driven. He`s active, curious, and always looking for something to do. He enjoys exploring his surroundings, playing with toys, and engaging with both people and other dogs. Captain is especially toy-motivated and loves interactive play. He has also shown friendly, playful behavior with other dogs, offering play bows, soft hopping, and playful interactions. He may do well with a canine companion who enjoys an active play style. Because of his breed tendencies, Captain sometimes uses his mouth when he`s excited. This includes mouthing and occasional nipping behaviors commonly seen in herding breeds. These behaviors are manageable and not aggressive, but they will require continued training, consistency, and appropriate outlets for his energy and instincts.Captain is looking for an experienced home that understands the needs of working and herding breeds. He`ll thrive with adopters who can provide structure, training, exercise, enrichment, and plenty of opportunities to use his brain. Captain isn`t looking for a couch-potato lifestyle—he`s looking for a teammate. Whether it`s hiking trails, learning new tricks, playing fetch, or tackling enrichment games, this smart young dog is ready to take on life`s adventures with his person by his side. If you`re ready for a loyal companion with brains, energy, and a heart full of potential, Captain is ready to report for duty.

Story
Looking for a loyal companion with a big heart and an even bigger personality? Meet this handsome boy! This friendly, affectionate pup loves being around people and isn`t shy about showing it. He greets new friends with a wiggly body, a happy smile, and the occasional enthusiastic jump to say hello. Once he gets some attention, he`ll happily lean in for pets and soak up the affection. He`s an active dog who enjoys exploring and staying busy, so he`ll thrive with a family that can provide regular exercise, enrichment, and opportunities to learn. He walks with enthusiasm and is always ready for his next adventure. While he can be a little anxious in new situations, he remains social and connected with people. He would benefit from a patient adopter who can help him build confidence and continue working on his manners. Slow introductions to new people and other dogs will help set him up for success. He has shown appropriate social skills with other dogs when given time and space, often choosing to greet politely and then move on. Because he can become overwhelmed in busy situations, a home experienced with larger breed dogs and canine anxiety would be ideal. If you`re looking for an active companion who wants to be part of the family, he may be the perfect match!
