MEET FINNICK! This amazing shelter survivor is doing great in his foster's home and is ready for his forever! FINNICK LOVES other dogs! He is with a pack now and loving every minute of it. FINNICK LOVES his treats, toys and bones. He LOVES his daily walks. He LOVES his time outside, no matter what the weather. He LOVES stuffies (throws them in the air and catches, so cute!) and to play fetch. He LOVES his playtime, but is an expert snuggler once back inside. FINNICK's ideal home will be one that loves and cares for him of course, a home committed to him forever. A home that "gets" his energy level and will satisfy it, and give him the daily exercise he loves to stay happy and balanced. A home that gives him structure and boundaries to be the dog he can be. Another canine companion or two would be great. Adult home or one with kids over 12 is best. Finnick is house and crate trained. He is about 3.5 yrs old and weighs about 65 lbs. UTD and neutered. Mac is a great, loving dog. Lots of energy, good walker, and a true herder. She just turned 2. We were caring for her for a few months while someone was transitioning out of a relationship. They are now living in a small studio and cannot take Mac back and would like us to rehome her. We cannot keep her.

Story

Dante was bought at a local pet store for my 15th birthday in July of 2018, he was born on April 11th of the same year. Dante is now six years old, but two weeks before his fifth birthday he had an accident and became completely paralyzed from the waist down. He has no feeling or mobility in his legs or tail, and has to wear diapers 24/7 because he has no control over his bladder or bowels. I've put my all into him since he came home from the hospital, but it's become too much. A few months ago I realized I do not have the mental fortitude to continue to care for him, nor am I healthy enough to give him the best care he deserves. He is good at taking medication, getting a diaper changed, walks (with some leash aggression), will take baths with little resistance, and likes being around kids and other dogs (minus the leash). He has also been around gerbils, so he may be good with other rodents and possibly cats.
