Story
We adopted Harvey when he was just 8 weeks old, he is now 6 years old, energetic and fun-loving dog. Harvey loves to be a part of the action, go on hikes, swim, play outside with other dogs, play fetch (and even more loves being chased). He is highly food motivated and knows a number of tricks and enjoys learning new tricks (w/ treats). Harvey’s ideal home is somewhere that has space so that he can spend his time exploring around or playing with others dogs. For being a bigger dog, he does well with small children / senior citizens and is a true pack animal, shortly after meeting new people he is likely to be disappointed when someone leaves the group. Harvey is protective and does let you know if there is a package/person at the door, the one part of his breed not listed is hound, which you can hear in his greeting. He is an amazing, smart, funny dog that just needs more space, exercise and attention than we are able to give him in our townhome with a toddler and baby.

Story
For Adoption:Harper is a 2 year old sweet girl. She was raised in a home with a 6 year old child and is very kid friendly. Her happy home came to an abrupt end when her owners got divorced. The wife desperately tried to keep the house, but could not afford it on a one person income. She had to move into a family member's home that is allergic to dogs. The husband moved into an apartment that does not allow pets.  Harper is  highly intelligent, loyal, active and friendly with everyone. She behaves very much like a Border Collie which are known for being the smartest breed of dog. Harper NEEDS to be walked every day, but if you have a big yard she will happily run out her energy in the yard. Harper loves going on walks and is well behaved; she does not pull. She likes to be put to work to help with her energy. She likes to be your companion and will always be by your side. She also loves playing with other dogs at the local dog park. She is house-trained with bells at the door and does ring them when she has to go out. The only time she has accidents in the house is if you consistently ignore the bells.  From foster family: Harper is a sweet highly energetic 2 yr old, who LOVES to play. She's literally and figuratively jumped right into the family and made herself at home. She loves to play with her 'foster brother' Tot and gets SO excited to go on walks, runs, or even to visit new places. She loves all people (any age) and playtime is a much needed favorite (so the more active the family the better). She definitely likes to show Tot who is boss (her of course) but in a playful way that doesn't seem to phase him. She's using a doggie door, but was formerly bell trained, and is 100% accident free. She can easily sleep in a crate, but also likes to snuggle up in bed with us. She's a love bug who just wants to be happy and playing all the time with her forever family!Thank you for your interest in rescue. Story
MEET SAMPSON! SAMPSON is an adorable, young, energetic, Border Collie mix . Sampson is approximately 2 years old and weighs around 55 pounds. This handsome guy is neutered and appears to be fully housebroken! He has a nice temperament, but would do best in a home with a submissive dog as he can be a little alpha. All Sampson really needs is a home with lots of love and some structure for him to be his best self. He really wants to please and just needs a little guidance. Sampson would probably do best in a home with a medium to large female dog who is on the submissive side. We haven't had him around children yet but feel older kids would better due to his size and energy. Sampson has not been tested with cats. He would either love a home with a fenced yard or at least an active home where he could get plenty of walks and exercise. That being said he is medium energy level, nothing crazy! We saved Sampson at the last minute from a high kill shelter. He is ready for his loving forever home! Please contact Christine at christinerescueexpress@gmail.com if interested.

Welcome Scout! This border collie mix is ready to find her new home. Scout is 4 yrs old and is used to being the only dog in the home however she is doing well with the foster home that has other dogs. We would not suggest her with small animals since she likes to fixate on our fosters small farm animals when she goes for her walks. She has a very sweet temperament and has showed that she loves attention 🙂. If interested please fill out our application on our website lolaslandinganimalrescue.org As always if you can't foster or adopt text 269-89 keyword "LLAR" for other ways to help
