Story
Friendly Finn is a lucky dog.  You know one of those who was in a really bad shelter that was run by lazy people who didn’t care if any of the dogs got out alive.  He is a handsome and very friendly Border Collie/Pointer mix that is truly a good looking dog who is about 3 years old, fully vetted, 35 pounds and was at the shelter for 2 years.  TRUTH!   How awful that this beautiful soul was there in that dirty place and in the tiny kennel run with another dog. He wasn’t fed much and he is lucky to have survived the torture of that specific shelter.   Friendly is a good word for Finn since he is good with other dogs and kids unknown.  He is surprisingly very good on a leash, but his nerves can get the best of him when riding in a car.  He might need a little medication till he gets used to riding.  Finn needs a big yard or maybe daily trips to a dog park.  We want him to live a life that is not limited as he has experienced these past 2+ years in the shelter.  If you are interested in Fostering or Adopting Finn please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.September 17, 2024, 11:31 pm

Story
This beautiful young 4-month-old pup is called Roxy and she will rock your world with all the wonderful dog manners and beautiful personality that you could want in a dog. We think she is a smooth coat Border collie mix and is beautifully created with the most outstanding ears that captures all the attention when you look her way.  At approximately 4 months of age, she weighs 20 lb and is a delightful foster guest at the current home that is caring for her. She loves the young children there in the home and they love her. She's great with the cat, she's great with the dog, and honestly there is not a strang person that Roxy ever shies away from.  She is just about completely housebroken in literally 5 days. She's one of those rare, young dogs that makes adopting a puppy a breeze. She is eternally happy all the time and eager to go and do whatever you want to do.  We think she is going to reach an ultimate adult weight of about 40 to 45 lb. She's lovely in every way and will make a great first time dog to adopt or a second dog in the home. To say that she's a breeze to train is an understatement. Act quickly because this Roxy girl will be discovered by many. Contact Critter Cavalry rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comSeptember 17, 2024, 11:31 pm

Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation WAIVED if picked up in TN, $100 plus transport fee for out of state adoptions. Meet Burt, a joyful, goofy and lovable mixed breed pup looking for his forever home! Burt is just over one year old and weighs in at 53 pounds. With his possible Border Collie and Mountain Cur heritage, Burt brings a perfect blend of playfulness and smarts. In a familiar environment, he's a happy medium-energy dog who enjoys making his humans laugh. One of Burt's most endearing habits is his "yoga" pose, where he stretches out with his legs behind him. It's a sight that never fails to bring a smile! He has a particular fondness for squeaky toys, often carrying them around like prized possessions. Burt knows a few commands, including sitting for a treat and going into his kennel on command. He is fully housetrained and has even started ringing bells on the back door to signal when he needs to go out. His crate training is impeccable, making him a great companion for someone who needs to be away during the workday. This charming pup loves belly rubs, ear scratches, running with other dogs, and digging for critters in the yard. While he can be timid around new people, especially men, he warms up quickly with treats and the presence of other dog friends. Although he's not a fan of cats or livestock, he would thrive in a home with a similarly energetic dog. Burt had a tough start in life. He was brought to us injured after being shot in the face, and there are still some bullet fragments lodged there. This makes him breathe (and snore) loudly and sometimes gives him a runny nose, but otherwise, he is not affected by his past injuries. Burt is looking for a loving home with a fenced yard where he can safely play and explore. His ideal family would be patient and willing to continue his training, helping him learn new tricks and build confidence. Burt's resilience and loving nature make him a truly special dog ready to bring joy to his new home.  Interested in adopting? THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. September 16, 2024, 6:41 pm

Story
BuBu is ready for the right adopter to come along and snatch her up! BuBu spent her first 2 months of life at PK before being adopted 1 year ago. Now she is back in search of a new home by no fault of her own. BuBu is now 14 months old. Her breed mix is unknown, though we think mom might have had some Australian Kelpie in her. BuBu weighs 36 lbs. and has beautiful eyes! One is blue and the other is amber. BuBu is sweet and loves to play fetch. She is very intelligent and needs to be kept active and mentally engaged, otherwise she becomes anxious. She would benefit from a formal training program. BuBu is potty trained and is fine being crated for short periods. She gets along with other dogs but cannot live with cats, as she has a high prey drive. She is fearful of young children, but we think she would be fine living with older kids. Apply to adopt BuBu at lvpeaceablekingdom.info! Peaceable Kingdom, PA Kennel License #04131, 1049 MacArthur Rd., Whitehall, PA 18052.
