Story
She’s been my best friend for over 8 years. Never any aggression issues. Housebroken issues being loud anything. Just a normal sweet perfect dog. But lately with age she’s become restless and loud with separation anxiety. I’m close to being kicked out of my apartment because 30 minutes after I leave she just howls and barks. She’s never peed in the house before up until recently which according to the vets her kidneys aren’t so great. I don’t have the time or patience anymore to deal with this. Hopefully someone has more time than me I just can’t do it anymore. Life has become a living hell the last 5 months with her and I’ve tried every single thing in the books to solve this issue but I can’t seem to get her to behave. Hurts to do this considering I’ve given my life to her but soon I won’t have anything in life if I keep her. Constant complaints from neighbors. Taking off work to deal with it. It’s costing me everything I have and unfortunately this is my last resort

Story
Collie/Pit Bull mix, 2 years old, loves children, up to date on shots, house-trained, very smart and playful. He has lived with my elderly parents all his life and due to their physical limitations they have to move and need to find him a new home. He is a great dog, loving, smart, loyal. It’s breaking their heart having to let him go and are hopeful to find him a loving home where he can run and play.

Story
Dora is the best dog and a perfectly lovely girl in all respects. She came from a terrible background and nearly froze to death before she was saved from a very high kill shelter. Today, she's all smiles all the time, romping and playing with her many friends at Dogtown Ranch while she waits for her perfect family to come along. Could that be you? Call us today and let's put Dora under your Christmas tree...you couldn't find a better dog to join the family and raise kids with. Dora is like living with a happily ever after Disney movie.May 22, 2024, 5:48 am

Story
Meet Kip: The Border Collie Who Didn't Read the Border Collie Manual If your idea of a perfect Saturday involves sleeping until noon and binge-watching TV, Kip respectfully suggests you keep scrolling. But if you're looking for a running buddy, hiking partner, or someone to guilt you into actually sticking to that "I'm training for my first 10K" promise... Kip has already laced up her imaginary running shoes. At around a year old and 30 pounds (she could stand to gain a few more), Kip is all enthusiasm. She'll happily chase, run, explore, and make sure life never gets boring. Now, Border Collies are rumored to be among the smartest dogs on the planet. I'm not saying Kip is questioning that statistic... but let's just say she's currently earning a solid B student status. She has plenty of enthusiasm, occasionally skips the homework, and sometimes gets distracted by her own feet. Fortunately, she's incredibly eager to please, which counts for a lot. Speaking of Border Collie things... yes, the herding instinct is alive and well. When I throw a ball for my Shepherd mix, Kip immediately appoints herself Assistant Herding Manager and tries to direct traffic by gently nipping at his heels. He couldn't care less because BALL, but she'd do best with someone who understands the breed and can give that busy brain and body an appropriate job. The good news? She's incredibly sweet. Kip is generous with kisses, loves the other dogs in my home, ignored both my foster kittens and barn cat after a quick sniff, and sleeps quietly through the night in her crate. She's also making great progress with her house training and leash manners. Kip isn't looking for someone who wants the easiest dog. She's looking for someone who wants a dog they'll have adventures with. The person who smiles when the trail gets longer, who doesn't mind a little dirt on their shoes, and who knows that life is simply more fun with a slightly goofy Border Collie by their side. Kip is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and ready to find her forever adventure partner. Apply here https://www.centraltexasruffugees.org/copy-of-foster

Story
We took Max in at 13 weeks because my friend was putting him in a shelter. We weren’t looking for a pet but wanted to help. It wasn’t until we brought him home did we realize how busy our schedule is and how much we aren’t home. He’s in his kennel the whole day and out when we are home. He is now 22 weeks and a very happy puppy, he’s around our toddler and other dogs often. We have been trying to potty train him but live in an apartment so it’s hard without a consistent schedule. We want him to go to a caring home where he isn’t in a cage all day.

Story
Jack is a sweet, easygoing ~6 year older with so much love to give. He’s calm and low-maintenance, happy to settle into his own bed, and an excellent travel companion who’s logged plenty of miles with us on long road trips without any fuss. He’s food-motivated (a bone will make his whole day) and has a playful streak, especially when there’s a yard to explore and squirrels to chase. Jack does great with people and enjoys playing with other dogs, particularly smaller, female playmates. We’re moving abroad and heartbroken that we can’t bring him with us, we just want to find him a home where he’ll get all the love and attention he deserves.
