Story
We got a call in the middle of the night about this sweet girl. A call that stopped us in our tracks. It's not often the shelter reaches out after hours-so when they do, we know it's serious. A tiny 6-week-old pug puppy had been found abandoned in a park, cold, weak, and barely hanging on. This precious baby girl, now named Nyx, was suffering from a severe anal prolapse. Despite everything the shelter tried, nothing was working. She urgently needed advanced specialty care-without it, she simply would not survive. Nyx underwent two surgeries to repair the prolapse, and she nearly didn't make it. She stopped eating, she was fading fast, and if not for the skilled, dedicated medical team caring for her around the clock, we would have lost her. But this tiny warrior wasn't ready to give up. Today, Nyx is gaining weight, eating well, and finally on her road to recovery. She's a sweet, playful, happy little puppy who has fought harder in her first weeks of life than most ever will. Once she is fully healed, she will make a truly incredible addition to someone's family. Nyx is proof that even the smallest lives can show the greatest courage-and that rescue truly does change everything.

Story
Louie is a tiny 6-month-old pug mix with a goofy heart, a bright spirit, and a personality that somehow manages to steal attention the moment he shows up. Sweet, playful, and full of charm, Louie has already started proving he's something special - even the camera can't resist him. Recently featured on Teefers' social media, Louie was seen not as a puppy left behind in a high-risk shelter, but as the little star he was always meant to be. And honestly? That's exactly who he is. Behind the humor and puppy silliness is a young boy who should never have found himself in that situation to begin with. But instead of letting his past define him, Louie is leaning into his future - one filled with safety, love, and people who see just how special he truly is. Now safe with Church of Pug, Louie is ready to trade uncertainty for playtime, cuddles, and a forever family who will celebrate him for the little star he already is. Because some puppies aren't just rescued... they're discovered.

Andre is a precious Pug mix who looks like someone took a mini Labrador, added a slightly shorter pug nose, and created the cutest little guy imaginable. He is incredibly sweet and loving, gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and is also great with cats and kids. Andre is starting to show his playful side, but he also has that wonderfully chill personality that makes him an easy companion. He loves being around his people and is simply a happy, affectionate guy who wants to be part of a family. With his sweet nature, easygoing personality, and ability to get along with just about everyone, Andre would make the perfect gentleman for almost any home. Story
Meet Chewy - and while he may not look much like a Wookiee, he's definitely got the same big personality! At just 3 months old, this little guy already has plenty of charm, puppy energy, and an adventurous spirit. His time was running out at the shelter when Church of Pug stepped in and brought him to safety, giving Chewy the chance to start the next chapter of his story. We're still getting to know this little guy, but so far he's proving to be a playful, happy, typical wonderful puppy who is ready to explore the world, learn all the important puppy things, and find his very own forever family. Chewy is ready for his next great adventure - preferably with lots of love, plenty of playtime, and a forever family by his side.

Story
Meet Birdie! Birdie is a sweet, active senior girl who is looking for either a foster or forever home. We're still working through a couple of medical items with her. She has an eye issue we're treating, and she is scheduled for a spay and dental in a few weeks once she puts on a little more weight. Don't let her age fool you-Birdie still loves to play, go for walks, and be part of the action. She gets along wonderfully with people of all ages and other dogs. When she's not out exploring, she's more than happy to curl up on the couch and watch TV with you. One of our favorite things about Birdie? She's great about letting us know when she needs to go potty. She'll walk right to the door and do the cutest little spin to let you know it's time to go out. Birdie is truly the total package: sweet, social, active, and full of love!

Story
Meet Mumu! A lovable, squishy-faced English Bulldog with a big personality, a tender heart, and a whole lot of charm packed into her 3-year-old body. Mumu is looking for a forever home where she can truly be a dog — enjoying companionship, structure, and the comfort of having her people nearby. She thrives when she has company during the day and does best with routine, consistency, and gentle guidance. She’s crate trained and genuinely loves her crate, often choosing it as her favorite place to relax and feel secure. This sweet girl has a playful side and enjoys engaging with her people, though her activity is currently more limited due to healing needs. She’s happiest when she’s included, supervised, and given appropriate outlets to stay mentally enriched without overdoing it physically. Mumu is seeking an experienced adopter, ideally someone familiar with bulldogs or dogs with ongoing medical needs. Her care routine is very manageable for the right person and will feel familiar to those with breed experience. Mumu does have several long-term medical considerations that require commitment and hands-on care. She will need daily and monthly medications, including monthly injections (which she handles like a champ), ongoing management of skin allergies, arthritis pain relief, and careful monitoring to prevent jumping or strain. She also has an upcoming TPLO surgery on her other leg, and we would love for her to recover in a home environment if possible. Down the road, her hips may require surgery as well. Estimated monthly care costs for food and medications are around $275. Her skin care routine includes wiping her feet after outdoor time and keeping her wrinkles clean and dry to prevent dermatitis — small tasks that make a big difference in her comfort and quality of life. Mumu would do best as the only dog in the home and has not been cat tested. A calm, attentive environment with someone who can be present during the day and committed to her physical limitations is essential. Bulldog experience is strongly preferred. Mumu may come with extra responsibility, but she gives back tenfold in affection, loyalty, and that unmistakable bulldog charm. She’s looking for someone who sees beyond her medical needs and is ready to love her fully — wrinkles, routines, and all. Mumu is spayed, crate trained, and available for adoption.

Story
Meet Norman, His Royal Squishiness Please make way for Norman, a 3-year-old Bulldog with the face of a cartoon character, the snore of an 18-wheeler, and the firm belief that he deserves to be adored. And you know what? He's right. Norman is a squishy-faced king looking for a family prepared to provide everything a gentleman of his stature requires: a comfy place to nap, plenty of affection, and long, luxurious scratches under his chin. Seriously, get that perfect spot and Norman will tip his head toward the sky so you can keep going. Your arm may get tired. That's a sacrifice he's willing to let you make. This sweet boy is wonderfully low-key. His favorite activity is curling up beside his person with his little face resting in their lap, preferably followed by a quality nap and some truly spectacular snoring. His foster says he sounds like a semi truck using its compression brakes. Sweet dreams, everyone! Norman enjoys leisurely neighborhood strolls and is an absolute gentleman on leash, sticking politely by your side. He's not looking to set any distance records. A couple of blocks, a little sniffing, then back to his throne sounds just about perfect. He's also good with other dogs and remarkably patient with his more energetic foster sibling. Norman is happy to trot around with canine friends, but roughhousing? Please. The king has people for that. He is a generous ruler, kind, and affectionate. But also notable is that his tolerance extends to cats and kids! They are welcome in Norman's kingdom. Somehow, his quirks keep getting cuter. Norman pauses at the door and looks up at his foster as though he's politely asking permission to proceed. He makes Wookie noises while rolling around on his back. And after doing his business outside, this stout little gentleman has been known to skip away like a schoolgirl. Norman is estimated to have been born in April 2023 and weighs 60lbs. He is a bull dog who doesn't ask for much. He just wants a cozy home, someone nearby, and the love and adoration to which he is obviously entitled. Long live the Squishy-Faced King. Norman’s adoption fee is $450. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old.  Fill out an adoption application for Norman at: https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application ##2753103##

Story
Meet Camo Hi, my name is Camo although maybe I should have been named Yoda. I kind of resemble that guy from Star Wars. I’m a sweet and calm labrador retriever possibly Boston terrier bulldog mix. I am estimated to be two years old who weighs just 37 pounds. If you are looking for a nice medium sized pup I am your guy. I’m a total cuddle bug who also loves to do anything my people are doing. I do great with other dogs and would happily welcome some furry friends in my new home. I came into rescue after being found wandering a rural neighborhood. Kind people looked for my family, but no one came forward—so now I’m ready to find my forever one! I love to go for walks and explore new places. I’m friendly with everyone I meet. I have a decent amount of energy when I’m outside but I know how to calm down and relax when indoors. I would thrive with an active, loving family—and I’d do great in a home with children. I’m social, affectionate, and ready to give all the love I have to my people. I’m house trained, crate trained, spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and healthy. If you think I could be the perfect fit for your family, please email adopt@thezoeygroup.com for application instructions.
