We are looking for a home with a decent size fenced in yard where she can run around and play without worry, active family that will take her on walks as she has a lot of energy. She loves to wrestle and play tug of war. Does very good with kids and loves to play with other dogs. She is wary of strangers, very protective and loyal to her family, and very loving. House trained and knows commands (sit, stay, go, lay down, fist bump, focus) and is crate trained. She is very food motivated. She is 1 and a half years old. Very attached to her people and loves cuddles.

Gilmore is estimated to be about 18 months old and weighs 45 pounds. Gilmore is outgoing, fun spirited and loving, always leaning in for cuddles and pets. This cutie is also playful, taking joy in squeaky toys and being silly! He's such an explorer too, so curious about the world and investigating everything. We just picture him being the best fun friend anyone could ever have. Gilmore does need a little work on jumping up for attention, but he looks to you for direction and guidance, he has tons of potential. He would love an active family who likes to spend time with him and where any children are at least 4 years old. Gilmore has so much love to give, he really hopes you come to meet him soon. If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Gilmore would love to meet them. He has a soft, more submissive approach with other dogs. He seems a little unsure of what to do and keeps checking in with you. What we know about Gus: Great with dogs Great with kids (has lived with kids and another dog previously) Awesome temperament Calm, great on a leash About 2 years old Potty trained Crate trained Loves snuggles Gus is located in East, TN. But if you are seeing this on adopt-a-pet, transport fees are included in the adoption fee. Out of state adopters are welcomed. Transport is available to your area in the NorthEast or Great Lakes area. We use the most animal friendly transport on the road (Rescue Riders Transport)! What we know about Gus: Dog Friendly Kid Friendly Has lived with kids and another dog previously Awesome temperament NO cats Calm, great on a leash About 2 years old Potty trained Crate trained Loves snuggles Gus came to us extremely underweight, nearly bald, with open wounds all over his body due to Demodex mange. He has since recovered fully and is ready to find his forever family! Gus was far too interested in the cats when we cat tested him as his herding instincts are present with these types of animals. However, he is great with other dogs and we use him to help introduce new dogs to the rescue. He also does fantastic with the 3 year old human on the rescue property! Gus has gone out on multiple Doggie Day Outs and did so well each time! He was his happiest self at the dog park with his rescue buddy (Folly) who has since been adopted. He likes to meet new people and go for car rides! We think he could be a heeler mix because of the speckles but we truly still don’t have a great idea about breed. The regrowth of hair didn’t help us with this as much as we thought it would 😂 Note: Since Gus has a history of Demodex mange, this means he is genetically predisposed to this condition if he does not take flea/tick prevention regularly. He is currently on Simparica Trio and doing so well. Please let us know if you have any questions about this condition!

East TN. Out of state welcome! If you are seeing this on adopt a pet the float for transport and health certificates for travel are included in the adoption fee. Transport may be available to your area in the northeast or Great Lakes areas. We use Rescue riders for our transport needs because they are amazing with our pups! Meet Thumper! This little guy is about 40 lbs of playful and fun energy. He’s sweet and good with people and other dogs. He’s about 2.5 years old and is a mixed breed but a really cool Mixed breed. I mean look at his cute ears. He’s adorable. He’s already crate trained and house trained. NO CATS. He is not fond of cats. Probably won’t do well with smaller rodent type animals either. He will scream SQUIRREL! And the rest is history. Haha. He would do well with children over the age of 10 because he’s very playful and may knock smaller children down during playtime. Whiskey was born July 15, 2023. He came into rescue at 8 weeks old when the owner couldn’t find him a home. His mother is boxer and father Black and Tan hound. (Pictures of parents attached.) He is a sweet playful pup that has done great with small and large dogs. He is crate trained and doing very well with his house training. He loves toys and sticks to chew on.
