Story
Katie is a sweet, laidback boxer mix who just turned a year old. She was surrendered along with her brother and a pup because her owner couldn’t afford to feed them. Katie is a very quiet easy going girl who gets along with cats and other dogs , kids and adults. She is spayed, utd on vaccines, microchipped clear on hw but being treated for Lyme disease. Owner said she is a purebred boxer with an undocked tail but I’m pretty sure she has something mixed in with boxer.owner said she’s housebroken and also crate trained.

Story
WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Heidi - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! My name is Heidi, full of youthful exuberance for life, innocence and curiosity. Ready to crawl right into your heart (won't take long either!!) and be a part of a family...YOUR family! I am still a youngster yet, a big puppy at heart! I have lots of energy and am quite agile. I could be a great candidate for obedience classes and maybe even some fun ones like agility classes. I'm a smart cookie (i know cuz my foster mom tell me so!) and catch on quickly. At 11 months and around 45lbs, I shouldn't get much bigger at my adult weight. What a perfect size for...everything! Neighborhood strolls, nature hikes(aaaah, all those wonderful tantalizing smells), camping, being a co-pilot for errand runs or trips to the park! You name it, I'm ready to give it a whirl and have a blast too (with whatever it is) just cuz we're doing it together!! And the bestest part is that I'm also small enough that I don't hog the whole couch for my cherished cuddle time!! My foster mom wanted you to know this about me - -she is housebroken -she wants to be a lap dog; -she would fit well with an adult home with older children; -with her high prey drive she should be in a home without small dogs or cats but will do well with her size or larger size breed of dogs; -she is a fast learner and will shine with an owner that will include her in their everyday life adventures; -she is crate trained; -she follows basic commands and walks well on leash; -she thrives on daily walks; -she’s a family dog and will make a fabulous family member; -she loves walks, hikes, exploring, tug of war and games using her nose and sparking her intelligence; -she’s quite agile and shows ability in figuring out how to jump over or crawl under set obstacles. She is happy, fun loving and eager to bring joy to her forever home! As my short sleek coat is low maintenance in the grooming department, making me more of a wash-n-to type of gal. And you do know what that means don't you?!! Oh yep yep, lots of extra time in the 'spoil me rotten' department. And you know that's what it's all about!! ;) Big on personality, smart and inquisitive, affectionate and sweet, my oh my I have a boatload of great traits going on, oh and don't forget my stunning good looks, to make me a great family addition, I just need the family...could it be YOUR family?

Story
Please contact melissa (melissa@pawsandprayers.org) for more information about this pet.  Meet Paisley!  She is about 3 years old, weighs about 50 pounds, and is a boxer. Paisley is your typical bouncy boxer and is very friendly. She came to Paws and Prayers after having a few litters of pups. When we first met Paisley, she was nervous around other dogs, especially males, and did not know how to play. We assume she wasn't socialized well outside of breeding and taking care of her pups. Paisley has really come out of her shell and has learned the joys of playing with other dogs.  She can play a little rough, so she has to be matched with the appropriate playmate. When she is done playing, she loves to snuggle with her human and dog friends. Paisley gets along with the dogs she lives with.  While she gets along with the male dog she lives with, she does better with the females.  At times, she does not like that the male stares at her too long. We assume this is also due to a lack of socialization and/or from her breeding days. An experienced dog owner will be best for Paisley to watch her behavior in these situations. We were told Paisley lived with a 10 year old child previously.  She has not been around cats. Paisley is housebroken and crate trained. She does need a secure crate because she has escape skills! Her adoption fee includes age-appropriate vaccines, microchip, and spay. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an adoption application today at our website  www.pawsandprayers.org. Paisley's adoption fee is $300.    ***The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an adoption application today at our website www.pawsandprayers.org. Inquiries submitted through Petfinder or other third-party websites do not submit as applications in our database. Current/previous veterinarians need permission to speak with us; if we are not able to speak with them, we cannot complete the review of your application.*** April 20, 2024, 9:15 am
