Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Meet Tex – The Sweetest Second-Chance Pup You'll Ever Meet 🐾 Tex is a 1.5-year-old, 50-pound lovebug who was saved just two hours before being euthanized for space — and he’s been making the most of his second chance ever since. Now safe and thriving, Tex is showing the world exactly who he is: sweet, cuddly, friendly, and full of love. He’s never met a stranger and gets along great with people of all sizes. Whether you're tall, small, or somewhere in between, Tex is your instant best friend. This sweet, soulful guy is incredibly focused on his people. He’s the kind of pup who watches your every move, follows you from room to room, and just wants to be by your side. Whether you're going for a hike or hanging on the couch, Tex is all in — as long as he’s with you. He’s the kind of dog who will greet you at the door with a wagging tail, even if you're late. He’s house trained, walks wonderfully on a leash, and makes a great hiking pawtner. He also does well with other dogs and loves soaking up attention. Bonus? He’ll even drink from a water bottle if you offer it — because, you know, he’s got style. Tex hasn't met any cats yet, but with his friendly, easygoing nature, he just might do well with a slow intro. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate pup who will be your shadow, hiking buddy, and biggest fan, Tex is the one! Adopt Tex – and be the center of his world. If Tex would fit perfectly into your home and lifestyle please fill out his adoption application. You can find it at haydudeequine.org

WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Meet Magnet – Looking for His Steel… Could It Be You? 🧲🐾 Magnet is a 2.5-year-old, 35-pound bundle of joy, charm, and wiggles (butt wiggles, that is) – and he’s on the lookout for his perfect human connection. Could you be his missing piece? With a shiny coat that glows in the sunlight (seriously, you might need sunglasses 😎), Magnet is as stunning as he is sweet. He’s a tad bit shy at first meet but when he loves he loves with his whole being (he shakes that stubby so hard his whole body wiggles)!! He loves his people both tall and small, and he’s happiest just hanging out with his humans – whether it’s playtime, snuggle time, or adventure time. Magnet’s favorite things include: 🌊 Playing in water (he recently discovered it and is hooked!) 🐾 Going on walks and exploring the world 🧸 Chewing tough toys like a pro 💤 Napping like a champ after a day of fun 🐶 Making friends with other dogs – big or small, he gets along with everyone! He’s shown no prey drive, so he may even do well with cats (with proper introductions, of course). More than anything, Magnet just wants to be your loyal shadow, tagging along for all of life’s best moments (his magnet to your steel!). He’s a “living-life-large” kind of pup, always game for the next belly rub or backyard romp. If you’re ready for a companion who’s goofy, loving, and endlessly devoted, Magnet might just be your perfect match. Apply to adopt at haydudequine.org – Magnet is ready to stick by your side, wherever life takes you! 💙

**WE ARE CURRENTLY DOING ADOPTIONS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. YOU MUST CALL TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING. PLEASE LEAVE US A VOICEMAIL IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO REACH US. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING.- CCDP STAFF** Hi there. My name is Slayer. I'm about 1 1/2 years old and I weigh about 67 lbs. Someone left me here at the pound in a kennel without any explanation, so nobody really knows who I am or where I came from. I have been an absolute sweetheart of a boy. I can be a little timid at first when I meet new people, but after just a couple of minutes, I warm right up in to a total sweetheart of a boy. I love to run and play, but I also like to snuggle. I have been good around all of the other dogs I've met here at the pound and I love to play with them. I do have some anxiety when I am left alone and would likely do best if kept in a heavy duty crate while you're away. I am very clean in my kennel here at the pound and I appear to be housebroken. If you're looking for a sweet dog to add to your family, please consider adopting me. Our adoption fee is $152. We accept cash, check or credit/ debit cards for adoption fees. If you pay using a credit or debit card, a convenience fee of 2.39% will also be applied. If paying by check, you will need 2. One Check will be for the dog license, and one will be for your dog's adoption fee, which includes heartworm testing (for dogs 6 months of age old and older), parvo/distemper vaccine, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, 3 days of panacur de-wormer, spay or neuter surgery, microchip, and a current Ohio dog license. We DO offer foster to adopt. (We will NOT accept cash for foster to adopt). We highly recommend you do a foster to adopt with your new dog if you are not 100% sure your new dog is going to work out in your home. Foster to adopt gives you a couple of weeks with the dog to make sure they are a good fit with your family before your payment is processed and the adoption is finalized. ALL DOGS/PUPPIES WILL BE SPAYED OR NEUTERED unless a health issue prohibits the surgery from being performed. Not all dogs posted for adoption are spayed/ neutered yet. If you're driving a long distance to adopt, please verify that the vetting process has been completed and dog you're interested in adopting is still available for adoption. The above mentioned vetting is all included in your adoption fee. The adoption fee and what is included in the adoption fee is NON-NEGOTIABLE. Adoptions MUST be done at the pound and in person as there is paperwork to fill out and an adoption contract that must be signed by the adopter. This means you must be willing to travel to our shelter to adopt. If the dog you're interested in adopting has medical conditions or injuries which require medical treatment, we ask that you help with the medical bills, in addition to their adoption fee if possible so we can continue to help the dogs coming in who need additional vet care. We are a county run shelter, therefore we cannot control our intake or the health or behavior of the dogs that come in to our shelter. Although we try our hardest to place all of our adoptable dogs, there are certain circumstances in which any dog in our care could be euthanized at any time and without further notice (IE: sudden untreatable medical condition or injury, temperament or behavioral problems which may not be apparent when the dog first arrives, etc.), therefore all dogs at our shelter should be considered urgent. We try our absolute hardest to never have to euthanize for space and have not had to do so for many years thanks to the ongoing support from the public and high adoption rates. Please remember; the adoption of a more highly adoptable dog will mean more time for the less adoptable dog in the kennel next to him! Shelter hours are Monday-Friday: 8 am- 4 pm. Saturday, Sunday and holidays: 8 am - 12 pm. Adoptions are always welcome any day of the week/ weekend and on holidays. We are here everyday to care for the dogs and the best way to make our day is to see our dogs go to loving families. There is nobody in the office on Saturday, Sunday or holidays, so therefore, we are unable to answer or return phone calls over the weekend. We are only staffed to take care of the dogs and do adoptions over the weekends/ on holidays. Can't adopt a dog? We would love to have more volunteers who are able to spend time with our dogs! The dogs LOVE going for walks and the socialization and exercise helps make the dogs more adoptable. I was found as a stray in the Wellsville area and I was picked up by the pound. I am a very sweet, loving, affectionate boy! I have been good around a lot of other dogs here at the pound and I haven't met any that I don't get along with. I have been quite the escape artist when I am left unsupervised. I will easily scale the fences or go under them to go on a runabout. I haven't tried running away when I'm loose, I just like to go have little adventures here, smelling where the other dogs have been and whatnot. I do great when I am crated, I do good in one kennel here that has a top on it and I can also be tied out if needed. I also do well if I am supervised in fenced areas, but I will quickly find a way out when I am alone. I do a good job of keeping my kennel clean, but do have occasional accidents. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING.- CCDP STAFF** Hi there. My name is Ohshi. I'm about 7 years old and I weigh about 55 lbs. I was brought into the pound after hours and left in one of the kennels here after our owners were in a dispute. They are currently separated and in legal battles. There is a lot of he said- she said, so the whole truth is really hard to determine. What is known is that me and my friend were left here in kennels after hours and were later identified by one of our owners. Unfortunately, although that person would love to have me back home, they are now displaced and in a place where they cannot currently own animals, so I now have to look for a new family to join. I'm a little timid and standoffish sometimes when I meet new people. I am VERY sweet, friendly and affectionate with all of the staff and volunteers now that I know all of them. I get very protective of my home and family and would do a great job of helping you feel safe. I am housebroken and crate trained and a really good girl inside. I LOVE to play with toys and I am a very funny girl to watch. I like going for walks and just spending time with my people. I do best if I'm walked on a harness as I have a collapsing trachea. If you're looking for a sweet dog to add to your family, please consider adopting me. Our adoption fee is $152. We accept cash, check or credit/ debit cards for adoption fees.
