Meet Jamison This poor boy was adopted from the rescue as a puppy. A couple years later he was returned due to a divorce. He came back to the shelter scared of new people and unsure of dogs. The volunteers worked with him to build his confidence back up and he was adopted again to only be returned a year later due to another separation. Rocky is a 7 year old boxer brindle, this has been his only home, he loves to sleep and relax a lot, he gets along great with other dogs and is around a 2 yr old daily and is great and safe with kids, he requires a fenced yard to keep him from running the neighborhood, he can whine a little to make his needs known like food and bathroom, he likes to be close to people all day, loves to cuddle, does not sleep on furniture here but would love to if given the chance. He can be fearful of steep stairs, eats dog food not table food, is never around cats so I don’t know how well he would do. Just needs a great home with someone who has time to love on him and spoil him.

Please contact melissa (melissa@pawsandprayers.org) for more information about this pet.  Meet Paisley!  She is about 3 years old, weighs about 50 pounds, and is a boxer. Paisley is your typical bouncy boxer and is very friendly. She came to Paws and Prayers after having a few litters of pups. When we first met Paisley, she was nervous around other dogs, especially males, and did not know how to play. We assume she wasn't socialized well outside of breeding and taking care of her pups. Paisley has really come out of her shell and has learned the joys of playing with other dogs.  She can play a little rough, so she has to be matched with the appropriate playmate. When she is done playing, she loves to snuggle with her human and dog friends. Paisley gets along with the dogs she lives with.  While she gets along with the male dog she lives with, she does better with the females.  At times, she does not like that the male stares at her too long. We assume this is also due to a lack of socialization and/or from her breeding days. An experienced dog owner will be best for Paisley to watch her behavior in these situations. We were told Paisley lived with a 10 year old child previously.  She has not been around cats. Paisley is housebroken and crate trained. She does need a secure crate because she has escape skills! Abbi came into our home 2 years ago and stole our hearts! She's about 3 years old. She’s patient with everyone (adults, teens, and kids). She gets super excited to go for walks, outside, car rides, for visitors and is amazing in her crate. She’s a massive cuddler but also enjoys laying alone. She’s a sunshine puppy but will not hesitate to shove her nose in the snow and hop around. She doesn’t chase animals (birds, cats, squirrels, etc) and does great with cats of all ages/sizes. She’s our personal door bell, letting us know someone’s at our door but also knows how to use her inside voice when asked. She hasn’t shown any aggressiveness besides a barking at strangers who get too close, but she also does it for attention. We're looking for a loving home with a family who can handle a strong energetic dog. While she has a lot of energy, she likes spending her days on the couch sleeping while we work. Fun fact: She has a fear of Altoid mints and will take off running if she smells them
