Story
Here is our 'Ole Mama' Brooklyn in all of her glory! She's been with our family since she was 4yrs old when we were fortunate enough to adopt her from a friend moving to California. She's been well trained on numerous commands and is crate trained. List of commands and Crate will be included. Brooke does well on leash by collar or harness and LOVES to be off leash and running! She loves the water but doesn't like swimming. Brooke does her best with experienced dog owners and older kids (12yrs and older). Though she has never been a danger to young children, as she's gotten older doesn't always do well with toddler energy and may often wish to be in a more isolated area. She does well with other dogs but often retreats from too much puppy energy just as she would with toddlers. She has never been around cats. We are really hoping to find Brooke a GREAT home & preferably one that loves a BIG lap dog. ESA Certified (2023/24) Permanent Licencse (Franklin Co.)

Story
My brother’s dog (NOT Emmy) bit my youngest son in the face and now he is terrified of dogs. My worries and anxiety have gotten worse with him around Emmy and I have to do what’s best for him and her. Emmy will be 9 this year in November. Her litter was found in a drain (hence the unaltered tail). She knows “sit”, “place” (stay), “come” and her release word is “free”. She loves walks, but has a prong collar and a ‘Do Not Pet’ harness because she does get skiddish around strange dogs and people. Emmy barks agressively towards strange dogs and people but has never attacked. She is anxious around people when first meeting them but definitely warms up and is an attention seeker. She is protective and can’t identify when my kids are “playing” and will even bark if she thinks someone is getting hurt. Emmy is protective of her family, but is as lovable as any dog. She will spoon with you if you lay with her, follow you like a shadow, and is always so happy to greet us when we get home!

Story
Name: Timmy Gender: Male Age: 1 year Current Weight: 61 lbs (and has been working to put on weight in his foster home since coming to us extremely emaciated) Expected Adult Size: Large (50-100 lbs) Breed: Boxer mix Energy Level: Medium-High Dog Friendly: Yes, and requires another dog in the home Cat Friendly: Yes Kid Friendly: Yes, any age Apartment Friendly: No Physical Fence Requirement: Physical fence not required, but preferred Crate Trained: Crate trained but he's free in the house, hasn't been in a crate since we first had him Potty Trained: Yes Ideal Home/Adopter: Timmy would thrive in home with a confident, playful dog sibling and fenced in yard. Timmy needs a lot of exercise and someone who is committed to walking and exercising him multiple times/day. Timmy has chewed plants and shoes when left too long or when he doesn't get enough activity, so he needs a home where he's not left for too long. Likes: Timmy loves everything. He's the sweetest, loviest boy. Absolutely LOVES to cuddle and be as close to his humans as possible. He wants to play all day and has very good boundaries when meeting and playing with dogs. He loves sniffing around the yard trying to catch squirrels and will take as many walks as he can get. He's very gentle natured but can play a little rough because he's a big puppy, but he means no harm. Dislikes: He doesn't like being left for long periods or going without exercise/playing for too long or he'll start chewing shoes and plants. Having foster sisters gives him a lot of comfort. What makes this dog special: Despite what Timmy has been through, he's the happiest, most loving, trusting dog that lives to please and play. He's happy as long as he's playing and with his human. Timmy's adoption fee is $350. All fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, worming, flea and heartworm current. All dogs over 6 months of age have been tested and are heartworm negative. If you are interested in adopting Timmy, apply at rescuedohio.org to become an approved adopter and a meet & greet can be set up once approved. ##1494138##

Name: Georgie Gender: Female Age: 2 years Current Weight: 45 lbs Breed: Boxer/Dane Energy Level: Low-medium Dog Friendly: yes, with slow intros Cat Friendly: No Kid Friendly: Yes, older kids Apartment Friendly: No Physical Fence Requirement: Physical fence preferred Crate & Potty Trained: Yes Likes: playing with toys, giving kisses, naps Dislikes: Lots of noise Hello, I'm Georgie!  I'm about 2 years old and 45 lb.    I'm the absolute sweetest girl, but I really don't like loud noises and chaos.  I'm a little unsure with new people, so a nice quiet home would be ideal for me.  However, I warm up pretty fast and once I do, you're in, so be prepared for some puppy kisses.  Also, I'm a pretty chill girl.  I know I'm only 2, but I really love my naps.  Don't get me wrong, I like my tennis balls and a good squeak toy, but nothing beats a good old, all-sprawled-out nap!  If you're looking for a nice companion and don't mind helping me out in new situations, I could be the one for you.  Pretty much everyone who meets me falls in love once I wow them with my charms, so you should apply now.  My adoption fee is $350 and you can apply at www.rescuedohio.org.  ##905723##

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Petunia is such a sweet cuddle bug who has the cutest playful side and is still learning all about the world. She loves playing with chew toys, does great in her crate overnight, loves exploring on walks, and wants to greet every person she meets with a huge kiss. She is learning to trust other dogs, but warms up after she knows they are safe and friendly. A doggie daycare would be a great place to help her gain her confidence! She will also need training on her basic commands, including potty training. But don’t worry, she’s a quick learner! She is looking for an active family who will take her on lots of walks and give her plenty of exercise. She loves taking walks and loves being out and about exploring the outside world and I getting more comfortable each day! She would be an awesome doggie daycare dog. She would love her new family to enroll her to have a lot of play time with other dogs. She is a smart girl and is showing progress each day learning a lot! She is working on her puppy commands and manners. She will need a patient, consistent family to continue her training. She will ready for puppy classes when she is adopted and fully vaccinated. We HIGHLY encourage obedience/behavior training for all of our pups once adopted into their forever homes. If you live an active lifestyle and are ready to bring this lovable girl into you home, please apply to meet her! Please fill out an adoption application at PetPromise.org We only adopt out in Columbus, Ohio area only. Adoption fee is $400

Story
Kano is a 3 year old Boxer. We have had him since he’s been 8 weeks and he’s been a great yet wild addition to our family. Kano is a loving (but very high energy) pup who truly wants and needs someone who is as obsessed with him as he is with you. Kano loves everyone (except for the pesky Amazon delivery driver) and sometimes his love can be a lot to handle and leave you a little drooly and hairy. Overall, Kano is well behaved but would definitely benefit from some additions training/ obedience. Our family is growing which is why we are making the tough decision and looking to rehome him to a loving home. He does wonderful with children big and small but wouldn’t necessarily recommend him for children that aren’t familiar with pets as he brings a lot of energy. Kanos ideal owners/home will require a yard to run, patient and loving parents and possibly another dog to play with.
