Bio:
Hi! I'm Hailey! I came to Speak as an owner surrender with the last two of my litter of eight puppies born in March. They were born deaf, but doesn't seem to slow them down! I LOVE people and other dogs. You can expect whole body wiggles when you meet me. Probably some kisses, and a big smile and expectation of belly rubs. I really do best when I am with my people. I am 100% goofball boxer energy.
I am a super, slow lazy leash walker. Most of the time I like to find a shady spot in the grass, and take a little break on our walks. I do get excited about the squirrels, but don't pull. In fact squirrels is how my foster Mom learned I can push open even SLIGHTLY open windows. I was home alone for the second time, and I took a little tour de neighborhood chasing those fluffy tails. A good Samaritan found me, and brought me to a shelter. My foster Mom tried to leave me in a basic crate, but I figured out how to go out of it within 2 hours. I would probably learn to love a well-constructed crate! At my fosters house, I am home alone from 7:30-4 with freedom. They watch me on the camera, and have seen me do some counter surfing, but I am not destructive. I knocked a loaf of bread off the counter, but didn't even open it up!
When you are home with me, you can expect me to be on my best behavior. I am LAZY. I know basic commands like sit and down. I don't jump on the furniture. I don't beg for human food. I am just a super sweet, snuggle bug. I sleep on the floor of my foster Mom's bedroom all night with no accidents. I'm not even scared of storms!
I have a back leg injury (slipped off a wet deck with the previous owner) that the vet is watching. I will lift my back right leg but seem to be getting better every day. The Vet doesn't think I need surgery, just some rest and meds. Speak is making sure I am healthy, up to date on all my vaccines and prevention and ready my family! Recovering from spay 06/15/26.
My perfect family would probably include someone who can be home, or another dog at home with me. I love kids, but really love almost everyone. I am really the perfect little companion.
