Please feel free to edit!  Bio for Hailey • Name: Hailey • Male or female? Female • Approximate Age: Almost 2! 06/23/2024 • Breed: Boxer • Weight: 65lbs • Any impairments: None, non surgical rear leg injury. • Potty trained? Yes • Crate trained? No. Busted out of traditional crate. • Good with other dogs? Yes. • Good with cats? Unsure. • Good with kids? Yes, loves kids! • Needs fenced in yard? No, but needs supervision.  • Need another dog in the home? Currently only pet in home. Hailey would do well with a companion/s! • Location: Columbus, OH • Energy level (high/med/low)? Low to Med - Hailey is LOW energy when we are home. Bio: Hi! I'm Hailey! I came to Speak as an owner surrender with the last two of my litter of eight puppies born in March. They were born deaf, but doesn't seem to slow them down! I LOVE people and other dogs. You can expect whole body wiggles when you meet me. Probably some kisses, and a big smile and expectation of belly rubs. I really do best when I am with my people. I am 100% goofball boxer energy.  I am a super, slow lazy leash walker. Most of the time I like to find a shady spot in the grass, and take a little break on our walks. I do get excited about the squirrels, but don't pull. In fact squirrels is how my foster Mom learned I can push open even SLIGHTLY open windows. I was home alone for the second time, and I took a little tour de neighborhood chasing those fluffy tails. A good Samaritan found me, and brought me to a shelter.  My foster Mom tried to leave me in a basic crate, but I figured out how to go out of it within 2 hours. I would probably learn to love a well-constructed crate! At my fosters house, I am home alone from 7:30-4 with freedom. They watch me on the camera, and have seen me do some counter surfing, but I am not destructive. I knocked a loaf of bread off the counter, but didn't even open it up! When you are home with me, you can expect me to be on my best behavior. I am LAZY. I know basic commands like sit and down. I don't jump on the furniture. I don't beg for human food. I am just a super sweet, snuggle bug. I sleep on the floor of my foster Mom's bedroom all night with no accidents. I'm not even scared of storms! I have a back leg injury (slipped off a wet deck with the previous owner) that the vet is watching. I will lift my back right leg but seem to be getting better every day. The Vet doesn't think I need surgery, just some rest and meds. Speak is making sure I am healthy, up to date on all my vaccines and prevention and ready my family! Recovering from spay 06/15/26. My perfect family would probably include someone who can be home, or another dog at home with me. I love kids, but really love almost everyone. I am really the perfect little companion. ***PLEASE READ*** WE DO NOT RESPOND TO PETFINDER OR EMAIL INQUIRIES. Story
Meet this incredible survivor! Found in Tipton County, this sweet boy was skin and bones, hairless, and overlooked by so many. We couldn’t leave him behind, and he’s come so far—from 17 to 36 lbs! With love, warmth, and plenty of food, his personality has blossomed. He adores other dogs, all people, his crate, and especially toys and sweaters. He’s house-trained, food-motivated, and ready for his forever home. Could it be with you? Once adopted he will travel via the Rescue Transport to his new family. They travel every weekend from Memphis, Tennessee to the north east, delivering pups along the way as far north as West Greenwich, Rhode Island. Transport is an additional $185. If you would like to make this cutie part of your family please follow the link below to our adoption application. Our turnaround time is typically less than 24 hours so please be prepared before you submit your application. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9
