Story
Xochitl (so-chee) is an incredibly loving, affectionate kitty looking for her forever home. We are truly heartbroken to rehome her, and she will only go to someone committed to keeping her long-term. She gets along well with other cats and loves to play and cuddle. we currently have two cats she interacts with daily. Xochitl was found on the highway in Roy, WA at about one year old, so we are unsure of her early history. The main challenge is ongoing litter box issues. We’ve had multiple vet visits and tried many different solutions over the past two years, but the problem has continued. With an upcoming move and strict landlord requirements, we cant risk further issues. And she cannot move with us to our new home. We definitely would love to see her in a very loving home. We believe she should most likely be in a house where she is the center of attention. Not sure if we want her to be outdoors either.

Story
Muhrka is a 6-year-old calico female, spayed, microchipped, and in good health. She’s a rescue with a calm, independent personality. She mostly keeps to herself, but once a day she seeks out human touch—curling up beside you or sitting on your lap. She’s also a great nap buddy, especially for quiet afternoons. About Muhrka: * 🐱 Indoor/outdoor cat * 🏡 Best suited for someone living in a house in a quiet neighborhood * 🌿 Independent and low-maintenance * 🛋️ Enjoys calm companionship, TV time, and naps * 💤 Makes an excellent nap buddy * 🐾 Okay with other pets * 🚫 Not recommended for homes with little kids (she gets scared by noise and commotion) I’m moving abroad into a city apartment, which wouldn’t be a good environment for her. She needs space, quiet, and a predictable routine. There is a $50 rehoming fee to help ensure she goes to a safe, responsible home. My priority is finding the right fit for Muhrka.

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out the on-line application. Yes you must COPY and PASTE the application link. http://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ (It may refer to "dogs" because that is our primary rescue, but we are fine with using it for cats.) MISTY is a gorgeous, affectionate, sophisticated kitten. If you’re looking for a kitten with personality…she has IT!!! Her DOB is 6/1/25. She is 7#.... Besides that, she is fun, happy, playful, LOVES attention, no fear of anything. She has been around dogs but only seeing them from her kennel and sniffing nose-to-nose on occasion. If she sees another cat, she doesn’t care. She has been raised with 2 other kittens. Here’s the story…She and Munchkin (see other ad) came in together but they are not related. They came from a couple living in the country and the kittens lived outside. BUT…they were handled a lot by the couple and all the people that came over. We got them to improve their nutrition (they were living on adult dog food) and to do the vetting. They have since been living on good kitten kibble, dewormed, spayed, 3 vaccinations, and Rabies Vax!!! They are doing GREAT! Shortly after I got them, I received a single kitten found in a school parking lot. I took him in and did the same…good food, neuter, and vaccinations. All of them started in kennels then I moved them to my large bathroom. I turned it into a kitten jungle gym with a cat tree; baskets to sleep in; a beautiful window to the outside to let the sun in. Of course there were plenty of toys. The only challenge is that you can’t use the facility without both Misty and Munchkin visiting…with great affection. It’s hilarious! They are also litter box trained …which is the self-cleaning box that rotates to clean! They love it! I have seen Munchkin play with trying to figure out what makes it move. Of course, after the cat jumps out there is a delay of about 30 seconds before it starts to move. I’m sure that’s to make sure they are out of the box and not to scare them. These kittens love it.
