Story
About six years ago, my wife decided it was time to adopt a new kitten to keep our aging Ragdoll company. We adopted Maya as a kitten and she's been fed and loved by both adults and, on occasion, children (although she basically avoids kids). Unfortunately wife passed away, and I have to sell the house and rehome my three cats. Maya is a typical tortoise-shell calico cat. By that, I mean she wants affection only on her own terms. Some people she loves (mostly women) and she will jump up on the sofa to get petted. When she decides to. Other times, she will let you pet her for a few stokes and decide that's enough and walk away. She wont put up with being held against her will, so if that's what you are hoping for, find a ragdoll. She is independent, curious, and smarter than you. She is not declawed but if you give her a scratching pad, she will use it (especially if you sprinkle cat nip into it). We feed her regular canned and dry cat food with no problem.

Remedy is a 3 year old Tortoiseshell. She’s an indoor cat that is very loving, playful and great with kids and other cats. She can be a shy but will open up once she has adjusted to her new home. Right now I am financially unable to care for Remedy and need to find her a new home where she can be cared for properly. Please reach out if your interested in adopting Remedy.

Story
Ophelia (also called Kitty cat) is approximately 5 months old, we adopted her from a neighbor that had an unexpected litter. She is a sweet and friendly kitten who loves to play and needs a lot of attention. She’s comfortable around toddlers and dogs, we haven’t experienced her being around other cats. She hasn’t had her shots yet but she is fully potty trained and was dewormed.

Story
We have two highly beloved cats in our family of 5 (with three kids ages 16, 14, and 9). One of our kids has developed a severe asthmatic response to the cats to the point where it is life threatening, and we have had to make the painful decision for the cats to go. Gracie is our female cat, and Booters is our male cat. Ideally they would go to the same home together, but we realize that might not be possible. Both cats are super friendly and love attention. Both are about 5 years old. They are well house trained and have been on a diet that reduces their dander for over two months. I am not certain about the breed (Calico). I do not believe either cat is purebred.

Story
Meet Candy! This sweet and gentle girl is looking for her forever home . Candy may be a little shy at first, but once she gets to know you, her loving personality shines through . She's independent and tends to keep to herself, making her an easy and low-maintenance companion . Candy would be perfectly content with a cozy window seat and a peaceful home . She's just waiting for the right person to show her what true love feels like . She’s fully vetted and up to date on all her shots —ready to start her new chapter with you!  We are thrilled to offer transport services every 3 weeks from Houston to the Pacific Northwest, the Midwest, and the East Coast, ensuring that these incredible pets can find their way to you no matter where you are. This makes the adoption process smooth and convenient, allowing you to focus on welcoming your new family member with open arms. Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future away from a city that has an animal crisis. We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wandering our streets. So often are these animals dumped, abandoned, or born on the streets and never find a home to call their own. We are giving them the chance that every animal deserves. We know that since you are looking to add a furry family member to your home here, you will provide the love, care, and attention they need to thrive. Thank you for considering adopting and not shopping. ##2377216##

Story
I adopted Ollie (his nickname) from a shelter when he was just 2 months old, and now hes a playful, loving 1.5-year-old. Hes a charming mix of curiosity and affection. While he might take a little time to warm up to new people and environments, once he does, he’ll be your loyal companion for life. Ollie would thrive in a calm, patient home where he can feel safe and loved. He loves his space, but he also enjoys cozy cuddle sessions and quiet playtime. A friendly, understanding family or individual would be perfect for him, also someone who can give him the time and attention he needs to truly shine. He’s a smart, gentle, and independent spirit who’s looking for the right home to call his own. Could that be with you? If you’re ready to offer Ollie a warm, welcoming environment, you’ll find yourself with a furry friend for life!

Story
Smaller cat we adopted from the shelter, has been with us since about 12 weeks old I think and she 3-4 now her owner my ex went to California and hasn't been back to get her. She does better with women and she has always been a standoffish cat. My kids are a little too much for her as my house can be a bit crazy. She likes getting pets but usually stays away from the kids during the day but will play with our other cat. I think she would do better in a quieter home as she generally socializes at night with me when no one else is around. She likes playing with hair ties and will let you know she has one lol. Like to sleep most of the day and is a fairly low energy cat.

Story
Hugo and Leo are sweet and curious fur buddies, who have been a bonded pair since kittenhood. Hugo loves scratches under his chin and any kind of affection. While Leo is more shy and takes a little time to come out of his shell (once he does though he is just as affectionate). Due to my partner having severe cat allergies we need to find them a great home. We'd really prefer that they stay together as they are very close.
