Story
There's something truly magical about Scarlett, a stunning calico cat with a personality as unique as her coat. With her striking combination of deep oranges, soft creams, and midnight blacks, she's a feline work of art waiting to grace your home with her presence. Scarlett may appear a bit reserved at first, but don't let her initial shyness fool you. Beneath that initial veil of uncertainty lies a heart of gold, just waiting for the right person to unlock its true warmth. When you first welcome her into your home, you might find her seeking solace under the blankets in her cozy bed. It's her safe haven, a place where she gathers her courage to explore the world around her. But here's the secret to Scarlett's heart: patience. Once she's had a chance to acclimate to her new environment and trust you, her true colors will shine through, and you'll discover a gentle and loving companion like no other. She'll purr her appreciation as you scratch her behind the ears, and her soft, expressive eyes will melt your heart with their gratitude. Now, here's the delightful twist: Scarlett is not just a silent observer of your world. She's a chatterbox with a voice as sweet as her disposition. When she's comfortable and happy, she'll regale you with a symphony of purrs, meows, and charming little chirps. It's her way of letting you know that she's enjoying your company and wants to share her thoughts with you. Scarlett's favorite pastime is curling up next to you on the couch, basking in the warmth of your presence and engaging in these endearing conversations. She's the perfect cuddle buddy for those cozy evenings spent with a good book or a favorite movie, and her charming chatter will make you feel like you're sharing your home with a true confidante. When it comes to other feline friends, Scarlett is a true diplomat. She gets along famously with other cats, bringing a sense of harmony to multi-pet households. She appreciates their company and enjoys gentle play sessions, making her an ideal addition to a home with existing cats. As for dogs, they might be a bit too exuberant for Scarlett's taste. She's a lady who prefers the quiet elegance of a cat's world, and the energy of a canine companion might overwhelm her delicate sensibilities. In essence, Scarlett is a hidden gem just waiting to grace your home with her presence. With a little patience, a lot of love, and some delightful conversation, you'll witness her transformation from a shy, uncertain beauty to a sweet, affectionate companion who will fill your life with warmth, joy, and plenty of charming chitchat. If you're ready to open your heart and your home to Scarlett, you'll be rewarded with a loyal friend for life. Come meet this beautiful calico with the gift of gab and let her enchant you with her unique charm. Scarlett is ready to find her forever home, and she can't wait to share her love and conversations with you. ‍Looking for a name for your new cat or kitten? Story
Hello applicants!  Meet our adorable Angelina.  This sweet girl is just perfect!  She loves all humans, cats and gets along with dogs too.  Angelina like many other Spring Branch Rescue intakes was found on the streets of Houston.  Probably dumped or got away from her home.  When we took her in she had a litter of kittens with her.  We have been able to find homes for all except this amazing girl.  She is fully housebroken and extremely obedient.  She will do great in any living situation.  Her transition from our foster home to yours should be a very easy one.  Our dear Angelina is FIV positive.  You take a chance when rescuing a cat that they will be FIV positive.  Back in the days it was a death sentence for them as many were not educated enough on this.  THERE is nothing bad about FIV.  WE love our FIV intakes!  They live long happy lives.  They will require a little more attention to upper respiratory issues.  Kinda like someone who has allergies.  You will need to stablish a relationship with a vet and keep up with all your yearly shots as expected.  FIV cats can live with other FIV cats and Dogs.  Unfortunately, cats that have FIV cannot live with those that do not have it.  Some adopters have adopted in the past and kept up with yearly shots for their health cats.  That's up to you as an adopter.  We have to let you know what we were told by our vet.  We have found homes for so many!!!  Absolutely NOTHING bad with their adoptions.  Lived long happy lives.  Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future from a city that has an animal crisis.  We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wondering our streets.  So many have been dumped and cannot find their way home.  Many never even had a home and were born on the streets.  WE gave them a chance.  Every animal deserves a chance. We know if adopted by you they will be loved and cared for . We believe in our local and out of state applicants.  There is a reason we drive to the Pacific Northwest every 2 weeks.  You are worth the drive. We have AMAZING adopters and we need more like them.  No matter if you live here in Houston, the Pacific Northwest or Canada we welcome you!  Thank you for considering to adopt and not shop.   If we are in Houston, then how can you see our posts?   Spring Branch Rescue has fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Yes our rescue is in Houston.  Our available animals live with foster families.  This is a win for you as the transition from our home to yours will be a much easier one.  We do have foster homes in your area.  This is why you are able to see our posts.  Unfortunatelly Meet & Greets have been cancelled due to Covid Restrictions.  Almost all our animals traveling have been adopted.  We have been doing this since 2019 and very successful.  Please take a look at our adopters reviews https://greatnonprofits.org/org/spring-branch-rescue Transport:  We also have our own rescue van and offer transport from Houston to your area every 2 weeks.  We have delivery points in Utah, Idaho, Washington, Oregon and for our Canadian adopters with a passport there is a stop in Bellingham WA just for you to meet us and drive/fly/or take the ferry with your new pet back to Canada!!!!  We didn't forget about you guys.  Everyone will receive an envelope with your pets required medical records to enter Canada without any issues.    Adoption Fee includes:  This adoption fee will cover everything we have spent so far in Houston in Medical expenses, Training, Food, and Microchip.  If you are adopting outside of Texas or live in Canada your new baby will come with a Health Hertificarte to Travel Accross state lines.   Our adoption fees:    Kittens & Puppies up to 1 year are $400.  Adult Cats & Dogs are $350.  Seniors (7 years & older) $250.   Any pets traveling to the Pacific Northwest will have an additional transport fee of $200.     With your adoption and transport fees we are able to help another animal in need that will join our rescue.  Rescue never sleeps and the cost of doing so keeps increasing.  We keep going thanks to our adoption fees and donations.  We are a registered 501 (C)(3) Non Profit.   If you have fallen madly in love and would like to make this baby part of your family, please go to www.springbranchrescue.org for an adoption application. ##1657175##

Story
Meet Nelly. A few months ago, this very special girl came to us with babies on board. When she lost those babies, she quickly stepped in as a second surrogate mother to help her sister, Purry, care for her kitten (Nugget). That little one is now weaned, and Nelly is now is ready for a new forever home. Like her sister, she is a gregarious and gentle cat -- the first to greet you at the door and shower you with love. She is just shy of two years old and still a kitten at heart. She adores playing, watching bird TV out the window and cuddling up for snuggle time. Nelly is bonded with her sister Purry, so this dynamic duo are a package adoption with a reduced fee of $200 for both. Please note that we require an indoor-only home and adopters to be at least 25 years old. The first step in our process is to fill out an application at www.havenrescue.org/catapplication

Story
My name is Summer. I was likely born around the summer of 2017. I am an independent cat that likes to spend time laying in the sun. I would like a home that will allow me to be indoor/outdoor. Maybe you could build me a catio. That would sure be a nice place where I could safely spend time outside. I would prefer a quiet secluded home that is not by a busy road. I tolerate other cats, but I prefer they give me some space. I really would prefer ALL of your attention. Do you think I may be the right cat for you?OUR ADOPTION POLICY:Step 1: Complete an Adoption Inquiry at https://www.orcaspets.org/catrequest.html.Step 2: Requests are reviewed and meet and greets are scheduled.Step 3: Meet and greet with adoption interview.Step 4: Adoption if the pet is an appropriate match. Our adoption policy is to give preference to San Juan County residents when scheduling meet and greets for adoptable pets. We have also chosen not to adopt pets outside of Washington State but are happy to direct you to a shelter in your area.

Story
My name is Ginny. I was saved as a stray in the Deer Harbor area. The people at the shelter posted lots of signs with my photo, but no one ever came to find me. My birthday is estimated to be 2011, give or take a few years. I am sweet and love to have my long hair brushed. I would like a quiet cat experienced home without dogs or young children. I don't mind other cats as long as they are willing to give me space. When too much is going on, I can be scared. Could you be the person to make my life complete?OUR ADOPTION POLICY:Step 1: Complete an Adoption Inquiry at https://www.orcaspets.org/catrequest.html.Step 2: Requests are reviewed and meet and greets are scheduled.Step 3: Meet and greet with adoption interview.Step 4: Adoption if the pet is an appropriate match. Our adoption policy is to give preference to San Juan County residents when scheduling meet and greets for adoptable pets.
