Story
My wife found her while working in a neighborhood down in South Carolina, so we unfortunately don't know too much about her age. We're hoping she could find a home more fit for her comfort, she's pretty independent, but she requires attention and a calmer daily regimen. All around she's an absolute sweet heart, that is very vocal and just happy to be around people.

Story
***NOTE: This pet is currently at the shelter in Republic, WA, and can be delivered to an approved adopter on our 4/11/26 adopted pet transport to Monroe, WA to begin a 30-day trial placement – part of our distance adoption program.*** Considering adopting? The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/application Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. Poor Kalispell has not had an easy time of it since arriving at the shelter back in August 2025. Just a couple of weeks after she arrived as a stray, she gave birth to a litter of kittens, which meant she (and they) had to wait until the kittens were weaned before any of them could be listed for adoption. During this time, Kalispell was an excellent mother - perhaps a bit too good, as she did her best to shun attentions from the shelter staff and volunteers, preferring to keep them away from her babies (and of course, we HAD to socialize and handle the little ones, leading to much frustration for Kalispell). Just when Kalispell's kittens were adopted and we thought she, too, would be ready to head home - she contracted a calicivirus infection requiring a fairly lengthy quarantine period, with little human contact daily (to help prevent the spread of infection). She has now fully cleared her calici infection, but during the past couple of months, has grown depressed, antisocial, and slightly obese. She is now allowed to interact with other cats in a healthy-cat communal Meow Manor room, and gets many more human visits for snuggles and attention, but thus far has not perked up or shown much interest in interactions with any species. Kalispell needs a calm and loving home with an understanding family who will help her gradually lose weight, while learning all about the love of humans and fun to be had as a family pet. With your help, she can recover her broken spirit and find joy in life again! She's still a young cat, with an estimated birth date of 8/1/24, and we all want to see her blossom and live a long and happy life in an adoptive home. All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Kalispell is a suggested minimum of $50 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to the Seattle area, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!

Story
Meet Wobbles 💫 Wobbles is an almost 8 month old kitten with severe cerebellar hypoplasia, which means she’s wonderfully wobbly. She falls over often and her head bobs when she eats, but she gets to her food and water, uses the litter box perfectly, and can make her way across a room on her own. When she’s calm, she does great. When she’s startled, her legs move faster than her balance can keep up. She was found as a stray who couldn’t climb porch steps, and thankfully made her way into foster care before winter. She is spayed, FIV/FELV negative, vaccinated for rabies, and finished her FELV/FVRCP series. Wobbles was very nervous at first, but she has blossomed in a quiet home. She now walks over for attention and enjoys pets once she feels safe. She may hiss at new people, but it’s just fear, never aggression. She gives gentle play swats and tiny love nibbles, often followed by sweet licks. She loves cave beds, small scratching posts for balance, and Churu or wet food served in a bowl or on a spoon. Because of her special needs, Wobbles will need a calm, quiet home with no children and very gentle pets, if any. Her steps may wobble, but her heart is steady and full of love. 💛 She is located in Yakima, WA but can be transported to Western WA.

Story
Two well behaved girl kitties that should go together. They are perfect litterbox users and are both less than 3years old. I have an autoimmune disease that is causing lots of health issues. I want them to go together a home that has no small children that may unintentionally hurt them. Please also keep them indoors 100% of the time. They do not have skills to deal with all of the dangers on the outside. Can you provide vet care and ongoing food requirements? I will give you a cat tree and 2 litter boxes, and other supplies. Mochi is gray and looks like the Nebelung breed, cuddling always involves biscuit making on your lap. Maybelline is the calico, she likes gentle belly pets. They both need time to warm-up to new people but will love you in a couple weeks as long as you’re kind. They are never aggressive. These girls deserve to be treated like Princesses.

Story
Meet Maybelline! She is a young adult cat about 2years old. She likes to have her belly rubbed but she is really shy, at first anyway. She has a crooked tail that her fluffy fur makes nearly unnoticeable. She is a perfect litterbox user and doesn’t meow very much. I have a health issue that is lowering my abilities to properly care for a pet. She is 100% indoor only! She wouldn’t survive on the outside. Please no children under 10 (all cats deserve gentle & patient attention from all household members). She has no health issues. She should have her hair brushed on occasion. She loves being around people that earn her trust and cultivate a peaceful environment. She likes to play with long hair and has a temperament similar to a ragdoll breed. I cannot confirm this dna though. Please own your residence as being a renter with pets can be a challenge when moving. I want her to have a forever home that will be in a responsible situation that will provide veterinary care when it is needed.

Story
Lola is a wonderful cat. She needs a safe space with some nature around her. We moved from a home in TN with a screened in patio where she spent most of her day (and evening). Here in WA we are in a small apartment with a patio that doesn’t allow a catido. She’s not happy. In TN she had a small, calm dog neighbor and deer friends that would come nose to nose with her at the screen. I rescued her from a foster with cats. Since we moved here she has had some anxiety and has been on urinary tract food and some over the counter meds. She has had cystitis that the vet thinks is from the anxiety. She is well cared for in a quiet home. She would do best in a calm environment. She has never bitten or scratched. She very quiet and shy. I have had her one year and she’s just starting to sleep on the bed. This is very difficult for me and I want to find her a place where she will be well cared for, understood and happy.
