Evie is a 6-month-old Cane Corso/mix. She is 50.1 6-month-old She was dropped off at Payton state hospital to fend for herself. She was roaming Patton State Hospital for a month depending on the Correctional officers at night to keep her safe from being eaten by coyotes. Evie followed closely by the Correction officers patrol cars she ran all night, so the coyotes stayed away from her.  The correction officers fed her on all shifts after she was hanging around for the faculty for a good week and half. The Payton state employees also fed her. Evie was very skittish and afraid of people but has started to warm up to her foster family and acting like a puppy. She is in good health. She Has had her Vaccines and has been microchipped. Evie is warming up to other dogs but needs a little work.  Someone who will be patient with her and work with her on socializing as well as being around people. She can be fearful but will warm up to you. She is so loveable and sweet. She really just wants to be part of the family.   This is a courtesy posting if you are interested please call Maggie 909.435.9772    Please fill out our online application (www.fochp.org).  Once you meet the pet and decide it is the right pet for your family there is an adoption fee.  The adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, de-worming, microchip, 30-day pet health insurance which you will need to order when we provide you with the number.    Our adoption fees are non-refundable so please be sure you are ready for a commitment to the pet you are interested in. Please be sure to check your spam mail if you feel you have not heard from us. Once we receive the application, we can put you in touch with the foster home so you can schedule a time to meet the pet.  Our adoption process is pretty quick, and a lot of volunteers are involved to ensure you get a quick response.  Please…. only fill out the application if you are ready to adopt right now and have consent from all parties involved.  Once you submit the application please verify that it is received (the screen will say your application has been received) if you do not get that message it has not been submitted. – if you do not hear from us within 1 hour, we may not have received your application.    Adoptions are based on Best fit/match and then 1st come 1st serve.  Please check your email regularly for a response from the foster and be prepared for the opportunity to meet the dog as soon as they can be adopted.    September 24, 2023, 7:57 pm

Meet Cassie, a 2 year old Cane Corso mix. She has a long life to live and a lot of love to give. She is good with everyone. While in the pet store, she is more interested in getting pets than picking out a toy or getting a snack. She would make the perfect family dog. Cassie was abandoned by the only family she ever knew. They left her there to die. Just before she was to be euthanized, we were able to find a foster and save her life.

We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications. Please for a moment, peel your gaze away from those spectacular jowls to read these unworthy words. If Drago's not the most regal and stately gentleman you've seen this week, I'll have to assume that you've recently visited Buckingham Palace. This enormous boy is technically more than his face flaps alone, but we have to admit that they steal the show. Despite his size, he's a bit of a dainty shy boy who prefers to stick with his foster mom over running off with his friends. While he seems to enjoy the vibe of playtime with other dogs, he's really more of a spectator than a contributor. He'd rather bring orange slices to the game and cheer from the sidelines than dive into the fray. Or better yet, he'll stay home and nap on the couch babysit the houseplants. If you've got room in your home for an XXL marshmallow, Drago would like to bashfully proffer his paw!
