The best match will be selected and contacted to confirm an appointment at Petsmart in Yorba Linda on Saturday between noon and 3 pm or on a mutually agreeable day, time and place. We do not do out-of-state adoptions for puppies and we cannot hold puppies; please submit your application when you are ready to adopt. If you are interested in meeting any Poochmatch dog, please visit our website to complete an adoption application. It is in the ADOPTION folder at the top of our home page. Just fill in the blanks and SEND. The adoption fees cover the mandatory and non-negotiable spay/neuter, rabies, microchip, microchip registration, core vaccinations including rabies and 4 sets of distemper/parvo and deworming. Adoption fees vary based on age, breed, size and the costs incurred on the dog's behalf by us i.e. medical, behavioral training, etc. Puppies are not house-trained although they may have begun crate-training and/or potty pad training in their foster home, depending on their age. House-training is a process that will need to be completed by their adopter. Puppies, if left unsupervised and not redirected will develop negative behaviors such as using the restroom in the wrong place, chewing, barking, whining, etc. Please be sure to do research on raising a puppy and be sure that you are prepared to do so. George is a 1.5-year-old Cane Corso/Doberman mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He was raised in a home environment and loves being around people. He’s about 125 pounds, recently neutered, vaccinated, and very loyal once he bonds with you. George is playful, goofy, affectionate, and protective in the gentle “watchdog” kind of way. He loves attention, being outside, and hanging out near his people. We are looking for a stable, loving home with someone experienced with large breeds or confident handling big dogs. Ideally, George would do best with a yard and an owner who can continue giving him structure, exercise, and consistency. He has so much potential and deserves a family willing to be patient and committed to him long-term. George is being rehomed due to changes in living circumstances, not because he is unwanted. This has been a very difficult decision, and we are focused on finding the right fit where he can thrive and be loved the way he deserves.
