She's needing a new home where she's not having to be crated most all the time due to work. We've got her vetting done now and she's ready. She loves people and is very friendly with them. She was also good with the dog we brought to do her dog to dog evaluation, until that dog went to her Mom for some petting and she got jealous or protective of her Mom from a dog she didn't know. Unsure which it was. She's lived with other dogs and cat. The dogs were very tiny and she's a big girl so she didn't engage with them much so there wouldn't be any accidental injury to the littles. WE CAN’T LET HER SUFFER ANY LONGER. Carmen was pulled for a foster after someone saw her video at Clayton and knew she needed to be saved. She has an allergy to fleas and ticks, which requires a once a month medication that we will provide. Her hair is now growing back beautifully. She loves pets, belly rubs, leash walks, playing tug of war, and going bye bye. When I picked her up for a checkup, she was wagging her tail, asking for attention, giving my stepdad kisses, and proving she’s a five star car rider. God only knows how badly I want to bring her home, but I am full, more than full. Carmen has been to board and train for temperament training and passed with flying colors, so no training is needed. She does have obedience training. She has had temperament tests with dogs, passing them at daycare and the vet where she showed no issues. She is trusting, sweet, and deserves to be spoiled for the rest of her life because obviously she has never truly been cared for. Welcome Jacks to CCPAL Rescue. Jacks is an 11-month-old Cane Corso/Australian Heeler. He is very affectionate, knows sit, loves water and can open a fence latch. He is a smart boy. He really is attentive and has had a wonderful foster before entering the shelter. He is wonderful at sitting when you ask him to sit. A carabiner is adequate to block him from flipping the latch of the gate open. This is what we use to secure the gate of his kennel. We don’t think he is the type that wants to run away. He is smart and bored in his kennel is all. He is a great dog and we think he would be a great hiker, walker and companion dog for an outdoor enthusiast. He loves all people and doesn’t seem at all bothered by strangers. He is friendly to everyone. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 and older due to his size. He weighs about 60 pounds and looks to be a good weight. He has a beautiful blocky head and with the harness on he was relatively easy to walk. We are looking for a moderately active family for this dog. We think he is very handsome and is going to appeal to men because of his beautiful head and athletic build. He is neutered, vaccinated, healthy and ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get this gorgeous dog to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the east Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. . FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED! Ozzie is a ~5 year old, 140lb, Cane Corso. He came to us with Queenie, the female Boerboel, and ideally we would like to adopt them out together as a bonded pair! If they are adopted separately, they will need another large calm dog of the opposite sex in the home. Ozzie was an owner surrender and is such a loving boy who desperately wants to be in a home again. The kennel environment has been stressful for him and he greatly relies on Queenie for comfort. He bonds deeply to his people and his dog companion and is very affectionate and sweet. He does well on walks but is very strong, so will require adopters that can handle his size and strength. We are looking for adopters experienced with large breeds. Ozzie has done well around other dogs in our care and we are continuing to socialize and get to know him better. Rene was wandering around the block for several weeks, until he was given the opportunity to enter the home of one of the rescuers. He has been a very protective, loving dog, and from the first moment he was always grateful. He has gained weight and is ready for his new home. He loves to get close to the fence to be petted by neighbors. He is good with cats, although because of his size we do not leave him unsupervised when he is with them, and he lives with most females. He doesn't like to have another male around, he is the alpha and everyone knows it, but with people, he is the biggest baby of them all. Skye is a 1-year-old Anatolian Shepherd/Pit mix, and she has the sweetest personality. She’s the perfect mix of playful, goofy, affectionate, and cuddly. We found her on the side of the road in Eastern Washington when she was around 4 months old, and she immediately stole our hearts (just look at that baby picture 🥹). Skye is: ✔️ Up to date on all vaccinations, Spayed, Potty trained, Kennel trained, Has completed obedience training We are happy to provide or transfer all veterinary records if needed. The reason we are making this heartbreaking decision is because Skye has struggled living with our other dog inside the home. While she has done well with other dogs in neutral settings like walks and dog parks, she has shown resource guarding behaviors at home that have led to fights between the dogs. She has never shown aggression toward people. Because of this, we believe Skye would thrive best as the only dog in the home where she can fully relax and be the center of attention.
