Story
Tawny is a delightful Carolina Dog mix with a heart full of love and an adventurous spirit. There’s nothing she enjoys more than being with her family, making her the perfect companion for someone looking for a loyal and affectionate pup. Whether she’s lounging in the sun, playing in the yard, or going on an outdoor adventure, Tawny is always happiest when she’s by your side. This sweet girl rides well in the car and is fantastic on a leash, making her an excellent travel and walking buddy. She absolutely loves water, so if you enjoy hiking, camping, or trips to the lake, Tawny will be right there, ready to join in on the fun. Her favorite backyard pasttime - playing a good game of fetch! She gets along wonderfully with all dogs, making her a great addition to a multi-dog household. She would fit right in with a dog that wants to play. She does have a habit of jumping when excited, so a home without toddlers would be best. She has met cats and hasn't tried to chase. Tawny is very affectionate and thrives on attention and affection. She is still working on her potty training but is making great progress in her foster home. With consistency and patience, she will continue to improve. She is content in a kennel but prefers to be around her family on the couch or bed! Currently being fostered in Seguin, TX, Tawny is looking for a forever home where she can be part of an active and loving family. Her adoption fee is $250 for in-state adopters and an additional $300 for out-of-state transport. If you’re searching for a playful, adventurous, and affectionate companion, Tawny is ready to be your best friend! To see more pictures and videos, copy and paste this link. Story
Meet Lavender! This absolute cutie is ready to bloom in her forever home! Lavender is a 6-month-old, 18-pound pup who looks like a Carolina Dog mix, though she’s on the smaller side and likely has a fun mix of breeds in her. She’s super friendly, playful, and adores people—she soaks up all the attention she can get! Lavender gets along great with other dogs but prefers to enjoy her meals solo. We pulled her from a shelter just in time, and now she’s looking for a loving family to call her own.If you’re looking for a sweet, happy pup who’s ready for fun and cuddles, Lavender is your girl!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.May 25, 2025, 5:02 am

He loves to run around with his doggie friends. He loves to sleep next his person(s). He would be be best suited to a household without young children. He is a great walking and car companion. He likes to be part of whatever activity is happening. He is neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. He is ideal for house or apartment living due to his smaller size. Story
Meet Truffles -“The Ears Have It!” Few critters in the animal kingdom have ears that can move separately, up/down, folded, or crisscrossed. The magnificent Truffles is one of the few! This gorgeous, friendly, athletic gal is endowed with huge stick up bat signal ears. When not receiving transmissions, one or both of her giant receivers crisscross atop her head. She loves long walks on her leash, zooming, playing with balls & stuffies, tug-of-war and of course, cuddling. Truffles was born with a genetic condition called mega esophagus that requires a bit of extra time & special steps at meals. She has a custom chair that allows her to eat in an upright position. Truffles eagerly gets into her chair as she is quite food motivated. She sits in her chair for 15 -20 minutes after eating. She cannot have treats. And that is it! You might notice her throat moving like a bullfrog when she is sleeping, due to the enlarged esophagus, but that is nothing to worry about. She is intelligent, active, affectionate, and eager to please. She is ideal for an active family or individual. More Attributes! Leash trained Loves kids, but likely too boisterous for little ones Needs extra care at meal time Local adoption fee is$200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Hi, I’m Chai. I was minding my own business running around the neighborhood until I came across this one house that had all the good treats. Suddenly this lady said something about rescuing me because there was a freeze coming and I didn’t trust her at first, I was so scared. I decided to play hard to get, it took her like 5 days to gain my trust. Finally I decided it was time to see what she had to offer. Now I’m having the time of my life. I have fur brothers and sisters that keep me company, I even have a human sister that’s just a baby. I’m so gentle with her and my foster mom says I’m a natural around infants. I spend my days sleeping on the couch and doing zoomies in the backyard. I’m working on my confidence right now and I’m a little shy but I promise I warm up fast. I’m scared of unfamiliar things but my foster parents are going to keep working with me. I’m fully potty trained, crate trained, and have good manners. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)
