Story
Jack is a very loving and friendly cat. We have three young kids and he will let them all play with him, pick him up, etc. He loves any and all affection and attention. We have had him and our other cat, Joe, since they were kittens. We would love for them to be rehomed together if possible. Joe is the fully grey cat, Jack is grey and white. They are buddies and have lived their whole lives together. Our oldest has struggled with allergies and we finally found out that, unfortunately, he is allergic to the cats. They both are the friendliest and sweetest cats. We are so sad to have to let them go but we are praying we can find a loving home for them.

Story
Cosmo is a sweet cat who loves to cuddle! He is more of a one person cat. He does well with children but does not seek them out. He has been around dogs and does fine as long as they leave him alone. If they are playful, he will just hiss at them. He is not aggressive at all. He does have a nervous habit of licking the fur off his belly. Otherwise he has been a great cat and we would not be getting rid of him except one of our family members has a significant cat allergy.

Story
Hi there! This kitty is Loki the girl cat. Loki's owner died a few years ago and Loki has been in foster care ever since. She's about 5 years old now, vocal, BIG fan of pillows, loves perches near windows, obsessed with dogs, and typically prefers to be petted with your eyes. Yeah. Loki is extremely particular over who can pet her when. Her current foster (Loki's former Mom's sister) hasn't cracked the code. Loki will often meow and rub up against her humans, occasionally even allowing a pet! But if you pet too long or read the signs wrong, she slaps your hand (no claws used) and runs away. However, former owner's Mom is able to get a lot farther with Loki so we know there is hope for this cat. She was amazing with her original owner and we know she can be amazing with the right person again, we just need to find him/her. While Loki is people selective and shy at new places, she actually really likes sitting in the same room as people. She might not get in your lap (she did for last owner) but she loves being near you. She is also a HUGE FAN of all dogs. She meows at them, rubs against their legs, shares her food, and generally does really well with new dogs (of any size). She previously lived with 5 other cats (all of him who have been long sense adopted by now) and did well with her brother and another cat... She hasn't made any feline friends in her current foster home but is working on it. Look, we know this is a long shot. Loki will be amazing for the right person and we know she can be a loving cat, we just need someone to see her, fall in love, and give her the opportunity to blossom. If you're interested, please let us know via the link here: dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form and we'll forward it directly to her foster pawrent. If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form Most of our are pets are fostered in Southern foster homes and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel. Story
My name is ocean, I am a rescue cat. My mother found me under a house with no food or water and she took me in as her own. She gave me food, water , medicine , and lots of cuddles and love. Mommy said now I am bigger . I need more love and lots of cuddles and now I am looking for a new home with LOTS OF CUDDLES. I love to play and love kisses. Im very snuggly and love FOOD. I love to sing songs when I’m home alone and watch cat videos. When I see new people I am shy so I may hide under the couch but after I see how nice you are I will crawl out. Mommy always tell me how pretty my green eyes and my pointy ears. I have a brother who is a dog and we get along so well, my brother watch me as I run and hide and jump out to scare him :). I am potty trained and make sure I cover all my poops in my litter box :). Name: Ocean Age / Birthday : 1 y.o 6/25/2024 Gender: Male

Story
Kait is a quiet pet that was used to living with an older person, who unfortunately passed away (my brother). For a few weeks she was bewildered, being taken care of by a neighbor. When I visited recently with my husband after a day or two she became quite enamored with him, seeking his company and having long conversations with him! (I am allergic so I kept my distance.). She is sweet and has been well cared for.

Story
She is independent, loves to lay on any blankets, still shy, and she doesn’t enjoy being picked up at this time. She hasn’t fully warmed up to us yet, but with time, consistency, and a calm environment, she has the potential to continue gaining trust. She would do best with someone who understands cats, is willing to let her adjust at her own pace, and can provide a quiet, stable home. She’s young and still developing her personality.
