Max’s Story Max began coming to our house May this year. He was sneezing, his hair was badly matted and he was bleeding. Plus he didn’t act feral, came right up to us, started purring. We already have a cat, Sammie and dog, Mickey. And Sammie is still adjusting to a recent amputation. So even though we are struggling financially, we had to help. We took Max to our vet, got him the medical help he needed, only to find out he is FIV positive, which can be a problem with Sammie. He also had an upper respiratory infection which is very contagious. So, It was important to keep Max and Sammy apart. We brought Max home and he got better and healthier but we continue to keep the 2 cats separated until we can be certain they will accept each other. We loved Max since he came to live with us. But we are getting older and it’s hard to care for 2 special needs pets. We want Max to have a chance to thrive with people who will love him as much as we do and hope we will do what is best for him

I found Mercury a little over a year ago while driving home from a family event around one or two in the morning. She was lying in the middle of the street beside a stop sign. At first, I couldn’t even tell what she was I just saw something unusually fluffy in the road. I stopped to make sure she wasn’t injured. When I gently touched her, her entire tiny body moved, and I realized she was a very young kitten. Thankfully, she wasn’t bleeding or visibly hurt, so I picked her up and brought her home. The next day, I bought supplies and took her to the veterinarian, where I learned that she was so young that she still needed to be fed with a syringe. Although I originally believed I couldn’t keep a cat because of my allergies and my housing situation, Mercury became part of our family. She has now been with us for a little over a year. Unfortunately, allergy symptoms within the family, along with the homeowner’s inability to comfortably live with a cat, have led me to consider finding Me

My children found Diesel (we named him) wandering the streets malnourished and unkept, they brought him home temporarily to love and nurture him while finding him a forever home and as much as we’ve grown to love him, we sadly can’t keep him, turning him in to a shelter is a big NO! I believe that there is someone out there for him, who has time and love for him, he is a sweet heart and a baby who requires a lot of love and attention, he loves to hug and be around family, he is great with kids I have a toddler and teenagers we also have a min pin chihuahua who he is great with, he’s a gentle giant… We’ve grown attached to him, and as I’m writing this I’m shedding tears, he’s become a part of our household… If you find it in your heart and soul and are ready to welcome him into your home with love that would mean everything to us, I don’t want any rehoming fee just would love to have updates and maybe visits if and when possible…
