Story
Meet Gnocchi, a tabby/siamese mix we adopted from a local rescue in January '26 to be a buddy with our 13-year old cat, Mister. Gnocchi is about 9 months old. He is up to date on immunizations and is neutered. He is friendly, curious, LOVES to play, he can play a little rough so we try not to encourage too much "hand play" and use toys instead. He's not aggressive and is family-friendly. The main issue is with our older cat. He won't accept Gnocchi, so Gnocchi tries to play/chase/wrestle with our cat and he won't have any of it, so it sounds like they're fighting all day but it's our cat rejecting Gnocchi. We have young children and a small house so the constant chasing/growling from our cat has been pretty difficult. Neither cat is in an ideal situation: our cat is old and wants to chill, and Gnocchi wants to play and do what young cats do: chase, wrestle, play

Story
Hi, this is my cat, Boss, and I'm looking for adopters with experience. Unfortunately, I don't think I can keep her anymore because I'm not emotionally fit enough for it. Boss likes to cuddle in bed, play with strings, rub herself on carpets, lay in her tunnel, and loves to go outside.Boss has some mild behavorial issues like badly wanting to go outside constantly and attention-seeking. Boss will pester about going outside and gets annoyed if she can't get her way. She is a door-dasher and sneaky. However, she is not violent and mainly meows in frustration about it.She is spayed. Notably, she has pancreatitis. She doesn't seem interested in mating and is vaccinated. She can tolerate other cats but isn't the most friendly with them. Boss is capable of befriending a cat though, but it could take time and training.I have been doing my best to take care of Boss, but my emotional state and my family aren't suitable. Please contact only if you are seriously considering. Thanks!

Story
Meet James – Your Future Furry Best Friend James is a strikingly handsome 4-year-old tuxedo cat with a heart as big as his personality. He came into our rescue as a tiny kitten in 2021, after being born to a feral mom in a rough colony. James had a tough start, and it took time, care, and patience to nurse him back to health. Because of his early struggles, he wasn’t ready for adoption until he was 6 months old. By then, he was a bit older and bigger than the typical kittens—and sadly, often overlooked. Now 5 years later, James is still patiently waiting for his forever home. But we believe the right person is out there, and we hope it might be you. James is a quiet soul who may take a little time to open up—but once he trusts you, you’ll discover the affectionate, playful cat hiding behind those golden eyes. He enjoys gentle cuddles (on his own terms, of course), loves rolling over for scratches, and will happily chat with you in soft meows when he wants attention. While he’s not a huge fan of being picked up, he absolutely adores playtime—especially with feather toys—and has even mastered the art of playing fetch! His love language? Snacks. Lots of them. Food is definitely the way to his heart. James is also comfortable in a harness, making him a great candidate for safe outdoor exploration or leash walks if you’re into that kind of adventure. He currently lives in a foster home with both cats and dogs. He’s indifferent to other cats and might even be coaxed into playtime with a fellow feline friend. Dogs, on the other hand, aren’t his cup of tea—he prefers to keep his distance. What James really needs is a calm, patient home where he can feel safe and loved as he adjusts at his own pace. If you’re someone who appreciates the quiet companionship of a loyal cat who will bond deeply once he’s ready—James could be your perfect match. If this beautiful boy has tugged at your heartstrings, don’t wait—reach out to us at heartandhomerescueorg@gmail.com or call/text 951-708-0626. James has been waiting long enough. Let’s help him find the forever family he deserves.
