Imagine living your best life for years with your mom and dad but then a thing cats do not understand called divorce happens. Both my parents said, "I'm not taking the kitties." and we find ourselves homeless and hopeless. But enter our Foster Dad and BOOM we are safe and cared for again. Now I would like to find my new forever family. I am a shy girl and I loved laying with my first Dad. But my heart is broken and I am afraid to give myself to another... yet. I am not mean and I cause no harm. I like to be petted but I will not jump up and lay with you until I believe you will not leave me. I won't even lay with other kitties anymore. I just stay to myself. Can you help me heal? Can you help me trust again? Will you be my forever??? She is very loving yet very feisty at the same time. She at one moment wants pets the next she is hissing and slapping your hand away. She loves a nice chair to sit in and just observe. She tolerates dogs but does not trust or like them. She has a cute little chirp in place of a meow and she loves food.

We're working on introducing him to our personal cats/dogs, but it's slow because our personal cats don't love new faces and our dogs are intense. He's curious about them and so far, I think he'd be good with ones that are calm and less reactive. He was good with the two kids(age 11+) he's met so far, though they had experience with cats already. He hasn't met very young kids or kids with no cat experience. He is litterbox trained and he's very playful. He's likely to be a little shy at first, but he's a pretty brave kitten and I don't think it will take long for him to open up to new people. He's not a cuddler and doesn't like to be held for long. He'd rather be sitting next to me just to hang out. He doesn't really hang out on my lap just cause, but he will often sleep on my lap when he's done playing. He plays with pretty much everything I've given him; balls, springs, soft toys, wands, tunnels, toilet paper rolls. He hates bell balls and will pretty much not touch them. His favorite toys are the springs and the tunnels. He's fairly food motivated, so I think being there when feeding her and offering him tasty snacks(we often use chicken, but he loves any meaty thing I have) will win him over pretty quickly. He loves to play and will tolerate being petted sometimes, but he doesn't like being held much. He chirps when he's happy or interested in something. He's less interested in finding things to get into himself, but he'll often follow his sister when she's getting into trouble. He was found in a bush on my porch. I'm pretty sure his mom had him in the one on the side of the house and then later moved them to the one by the porch.

Zazu—though his foster family affectionately calls him “Jr.”—is a gentle, resilient boy with a tender heart and a quiet spirit. Found as a teenage kitten helping his mom care for a newborn litter on the streets, he’s already proven what a devoted little protector he is. Life outside taught him to be cautious, so he may hide at first, but it’s only because he’s learning that people can be kind, too. Once he feels safe, Jr. is a calm companion who enjoys simply sharing space with his humans and absolutely adores other cats (especially the ladies!). He’s also comfortable around small dogs. All he’s dreaming of is a peaceful home where he can feel secure, be himself, and finally enjoy the safe, loving life he deserves. ONLY AVAILABLE IN TEXAS This cat can only be adopted in the state of Texas and has an adoption fee of $150. Paws and whiskers alert: Zazu is here!
