Story
Say hello to Sugar Mama! This sweet girl is around 3 years old and weighs around 8 pounds. Though Sugar Mama is shy, she is also incredibly sweet. It will take her some time to settle into a new environment, but once she does she will show you her heart of gold! Fast movements startle her, so she would do best in a calmer household. Once she builds trust with you, she loves to chat with you and come to you for love and affection! She doesn't enjoy being held, but she absolutely loves pets and scratches. Her favorite way to spend her day is lounging in a kitty hammock or keeping watch out the window! When it is time to wind down, you also might find her snoozing on the couch. She is fostered with other cats and small dogs and has done amazing at making friends. She will play with other cats who want to play, but she doesn't bother the ones who don't want to join in! If you are looking for a lower energy and affectionate kitty, Sugar Mama may be the one for you! Though she will take some patience, she promises to make up for it by becoming your best friend. Sugar Mama is fostered in the Cincinnati, OH area. Her adoption fee is $75. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our cats come spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, up to date on flea and tick preventative, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. All adults are combo tested; for some litters of kittens who have not been exposed to other cats, only one kitten in the litter may be tested. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services and helps us continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the pet you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Meet Seussie! She is a 1.5-year-old, 7lb dilute calico, domestic shorthair cat who is the matriarch of the “Seussical” bunch. Seussie was found caring for 4 tiny kittens, but with no one to care for her. Barely more than a kitten herself, Seussie was still an excellent momma! She was so attentive and loving. She successfully raised all four of them to be strong and healthy. Seussie could have won the award for World’s Best Mom! Since Seussie was very concerned with protecting her babies, she has not spent much time with other animals, so she would require slow introductions if you already have other pets in your home. She LOVES her daughter Gertrude so we are confident she could get along with other kitties eventually, but she is not fond of the dogs in her foster home. She thinks cats rule and dogs drool and we haven’t been able to change her mind yet. After being such a good momma, Seussie deserves a life where she can relax and be the pampered princess she was born to be! This petite, rare beauty is not just gorgeous but she is also polite! She always uses her litter box and scratching post. She will lay next to you and will come out for attention and pets, but she is not a fan of being picked up. She is a sassy, sweet and affectionate kitty but on her own terms! She is an independent girl who will let you know when she would like to interact. If you are looking for a cute, little calico that is sugar and spice and everything nice, Seussie is the right cat for you! Like Dr. Seuss once said, “Why fit in when you were born to stand out?” Seussie is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati, OH area. Her adoption fee is $75.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our cats come spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, up to date on flea and tick preventative, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. Story
Squishy is a 5 year old, 12 lb domestic shorthair tabby who loves nothing more than food and play. He isn't much of a talker and almost never meows (unless there is food involved) but he purrs constantly. He will purr the moment you touch him or pick him up. He is timid at first but will warm up quickly especially if treats are involved. He likes climbing up high on cat trees and will nap through almost anything. If you give him the chance he will gladly take refuge in your arms to give you a warm hug or even climb up on your shoulder and sit. His superpower is being the world's best exterminator! If he sees any bug or insect, he will hunt for it relentlessly! He is wary of new people and other cats, but he will eventually be okay with them and even want to play! He also doesn't have much experience around children and dogs so will need slow introductions. Squishy would probably do best with another cat in the home. Squishy is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati area. His adoption fee is $75.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our cats come spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, up to date on flea and tick preventative, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination.
