Story
Meet Desmond!
Desmond is a 7-year-old, 19-pound Domestic Shorthair with the softest, fluffiest fur you'll ever want to pet. One look at this handsome gentleman, and it's easy to fall in love!
Desmond is a social, affectionate cat who enjoys spending time with his people. He may take a little time to warm up, but once he does, he'll happily roll over for pets and reward you with his loud, content purr. His favorite spots for scratches are under his chin, on his head, and across his chest. He thrives with gentle, patient people who appreciate a sweet companion.
When it's playtime, Desmond loves feather wand toys and enjoys catnip as an occasional treat—whether he's rolling around in it or nibbling on it! This clever boy knows how to get your attention. He'll gently tap you with his paws when he's ready for some affection, and if he's feeling bored, he may mischievously knock a few things off a table just to remind you it's time to play. He also enjoys keeping you company during nap time and likes to stay close to his favorite humans.
Desmond is neutered, litter box trained, and has a great appetite. He's happy to eat dry food, canned food, and the occasional special treat. Desmond grew up with his littermate, Dorothy. He does well around dogs, although he'll happily help himself to their food if given the chance!
If you're looking for a loving, fluffy companion with a playful personality and an even bigger heart, Desmond could be your purr-fect match. Desmond is being fostered in Loveland, OH and his adoption fee is $50.
"To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt
All of our cats come spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, up to date on flea and tick preventative, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. All adults are combo tested; for some litters of kittens who have not been exposed to other cats, only one kitten in the litter may be tested. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services and helps us continue rescuing animals.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the pet you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal."
