Story
Daylin has been in foster care for quite some time, quietly waiting for her forever person. She arrived with two outgoing brothers who were adopted quickly—but Daylin is a tender-hearted girl who takes her time learning to trust. Every day, she grows a little braver, a little more curious, and a little more open to love. She’s wonderful with other cats—playful, affectionate, and often seen chasing toys or softly meowing when she’s looking for her foster siblings. Her voice is gentle, her spirit is kind, and her heart is ready for someone who understands the beauty of patience. Daylin would thrive in a calm, cat-savvy home with a feline companion and a human who’s willing to let her blossom at her own pace. She’s not fond of small children, but she’s perfect for someone who values quiet companionship and the joy of earning a shy cat’s trust. Daylin may not leap into your lap on day one—but give her your heart, and she’ll give you hers.If you’re ready to meet this gentle girl and offer her the loving home she deserves, please reach out. All HART kittens and cats are vet checked, combo tested, spayed or neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, and on flea and tick preventative. If you are interested in any of our kitties, you must complete an online cat adoption application available at www.rescueahart.org/adopt/cat-application. The application will put you in touch with a HART volunteer.

Story
Meet Dixie Rose — A Stunning Calico With a Gentle Spark Dixie Rose has been in rescue far too long for how beautiful and special she is. Born around April 28, 2025, this gorgeous calico was found dumped and alone until a Good Samaritan reached out to HART for help. She arrived skinny, scared, and not in the best health — but with love and proper care, she has blossomed into a healthy, confident young cat. Now spayed, fully vaccinated, and thriving in her foster home, Dixie Rose is ready for her forever family. Dixie is the perfect blend of sweet and spicy. She loves curling up on your lap, hanging out nearby, and being part of your quiet moments. She also enjoys running and playing with her foster siblings and spending time on the cat tree watching birds and squirrels. Because Dixie Rose has never been introduced to dogs or small children, she will do best in a home with: - Children over 12, who can respect her boundaries - A calm, respectful dog only if the dog gives her space and time to adjust - Slow, patient introductions to any new animals - Her own safe space where she can retreat and decompress She gets along well with other cats and will thrive in a home where she has a friendly feline companion. After everything she’s been through, Dixie Rose deserves a home that will give her patience, love, and the security she never had before. If you’re looking for a beautiful, affectionate cat with personality and heart, Dixie Rose is waiting. Story
Meet Roz and Dimitri- Bonded Pair Roz, aka Rozamund Kittington, DOB April 2020 Roz is a 5 year old spayed female who weights approximately 11lbs. She loves to hunt bugs, reflections and her toys. Her favorite spot to sit is on our fireplace mantle or the back of the armchair on our upstairs landing so she can see her entire kingdom. She is social with all people and likes to rub all over the ankles of newcomers. She will do “bear stance” when she wants something- pawing in the air toward the thing she wants- which is often affection or a light bulb that is out of her reach. She enjoys basking in sun spots and surveying her kittydom. While she is not a huge fan of being held/carried, she does enjoy spending time near her humans and will snuggle on the couch when she has decided her kingdom has been reasonably patrolled and mischief managed. She is a good mouser and keeps the basement free of mice and bugs. She also can be very chatty. She love to tell you all about her day when you get home as she weaves around your legs and jumps up for pets. Her favorite treats are freeze dried shrimp and bites of your pasta at dinner time. Roz absolutely loves our toddler and likes to rub on him when he is within reach and will quickly dart away from his grabby finger. She eats both wet and dry food. She has all of her claws, is litter box trained and is an indoor only cat. If you are interested in any of our kitties, you must complete an online cat adoption application available at www.rescueahart.org/adopt/cat-application. Story
Meet Roz and Dimitri- Bonded Pair Dimitri, aka Comrade Dimitri Meowlov: DOB April 2020 Dimitri is a 5 year old neutered grey tabby who weighs approximately 12lbs. He is blind in one eye. Dimitri is the cuddliest cat you’ve ever met. If he could live in your skin, he would. His favorite place is on the chest or lap of his human while watching TV. If you are seated, you are at risk of being sat on. His highest ambition is to become permanently affixed to his human and he has no greater duty than to provide epic cuddles and top speed biscuit manufacturing. He can be a food hog, so his food consumption needs to be slightly monitored- he will steal wet food from other cats, but does so less if dry food is available at all times- but he does WANT to be fat- so there is a fine balance of food being available vs allowing him to be a piggy and overeat. He and Roz have an understanding relationship about food, so it does not cause any conflict between them. Dimitri is partial to Temptations treats of all flavors. He enjoys playing tag with Roz and rolling on catnip scented toys and your shoes so that other cats know you belong to him. Because of his diminished sight, he is very shy (but never aggressive) with new places/environments/people. When guests come, he prefers to retreat to a safe space and watch from afar until they prove they are not going to do anything scary. Once deemed safe, guests can also expect to grow a kitty tumor as he will want to be as close to them as possible too. Because of this cautiousness, he would do best in a home that tends to be on the quieter side so that he doesn't always have to be evaluating his safety. Dimitri is affectionate with our toddler when he is still, but still a bit hesitant about Cam’s changing mobility. He eats both wet and dry food. Dimitri has all of his claws, is litter box trained, and an indoor only cat. If you are interested in any of our kitties, you must complete an online cat adoption application available at www.rescueahart.org/adopt/cat-application. Story
Lily is a beautiful 1 year old Domestic Shorthair brown tabby with soft tiger stripes and a gentle soul to match. She, her sister Tiger, and their mom were found as strays in Ross, Ohio. It took a little time for her to feel safe in foster care, but once she did, she truly blossomed. Lily is the quieter, shy sister and such a sweet companion. She is happy to let Tiger be the bold one, but she still enjoys affection and loves gentle pets once she feels comfortable. She prefers to take her time getting to know her surroundings and her people, and then her loving personality really shines. Tiger and Lily are purrfect friends and balance each other beautifully. They thrive in a calm, quiet home without lots of noise and would do best without small children. They would absolutely love to be adopted together and continue their journey side by side in a forever home. If you are interested in any of our kitties, you must complete an online cat adoption application available at www.rescueahart.org/adopt/cat-application. Story
BATMAN & KATIE — BONDED PAIR SEEKING A LOVING FOREVER HOME Names: Batman & Katie Breed: Domestic Short Hair Ages: • Batman: solid black, DOB 1/12/2021, intake 1/11/2026 • Katie: petite gray & white, DOB 10/6/2025, intake 1/8/2026 Sex: Male (Batman), Female (Katie) Good With: Gentle dogs, non‑aggressive cats, respectful children Medical: • Batman — FIV+, history of being shot, mild paw sensitivity • Katie — Healthy Status: Bonded pair, must be adopted together Their Story Batman and Katie came into rescue separately, both found outside, scared and alone. Batman arrived during a brutal cold snap, starving and trying to survive inside a straw‑filled box. X‑rays later revealed he had been shot, and although the main bullet was removed, fragments remain in his paw. He is also FIV+, but he lives a full, happy life. Katie was found frightened and unsure of people. After quarantine, she was introduced to Batman — and they bonded instantly. She became his comfort, and he became her confidence. They have been inseparable ever since. How They’re Thriving Now Batman and Katie have recently been integrated into a busy household with dogs, cats, kids, grandbabies, noise, and chaos — and they are doing wonderfully. Batman - A total human snuggler - Follows his foster everywhere and cries if he can’t find her - Loves gentle introductions and warms up quickly - Adores the grandbabies (8 months & 8 years) - Loves giving affection and being close to his people - Enjoys his wet food and looks forward to mealtime - Plays daily with Katie — their bond brings out the best in him Katie - Becoming more confident every day - Very food‑motivated and LOVES her wet food - Still shy and a little reserved, but adjusting beautifully - Will quietly sneak out to play with Batman wherever he is - Follows Batman when he’s not with her foster - Still playful like a kitten - Loves windows, cat trees, and exploring - Keeps her distance with new people at first, but blossoms with patience Katie is still “fight or flight,” but she is out in the open, playful, curious, and thriving. Batman’s presence gives her courage, and she gives him companionship. They are truly therapy for each other. Diet & Monthly Cost Batman and Katie are both thriving on Purina Pro Plan LiveClear dry food. - 16 lb bag: lasts well over a month They also share 1 can daily of Purina Pro Plan wet food. Their total food cost is a little over $100/month. They are no longer taking any supplements — food is their only ongoing expense. What They Come With To help them transition smoothly, they will go home with: - Their favorite cat tree - Their favorite cat bed - Any remaining food These familiar items help them feel safe and comfortable in their new home. Ideal Home Batman & Katie would do well in a home that is: - Calm, stable, and patient - Comfortable with gentle dogs and non‑aggressive cats - Suitable for children who understand boundaries with animals - Willing to give them time to adjust, feel safe, and trust - Ready to love a bonded pair who have survived so much They have endured trauma, fear, and instability — yet they remain loving, gentle, playful, and full of heart. They deserve a home that will never give up on them. Please do not apply unless you can truly commit the time, patience, and love Batman & Katie need. Let’s get these two incredible cats adopted. They are ready for their forever home. If you are interested in any of our kitties, you must complete an online cat adoption application available at www.rescueahart.org/adopt/cat-application. The application will put you in touch with a HART volunteer.
