Story
Jennie/Boots was adopted from the GAHS in 2020 @ 4 yrs of age (ID (xxx) xxx-xxxx 9). She has developed behavioral issues over the past 2 years which have become increasingly worse. She does her "business" away from her box as often as 3-4 times a week, but it is increasing for unknown reasons. She has two large litter boxes which are cleaned twice a day. Owners are elderly, retired and home all day. Boots has seen the Vet. annually. She requires a quiet environment, low allergen food, and privacy for her litter box(es). She likes having a private, quiet place to sleep. She requires little brushing and will not damage rugs or furniture. She does not like to be handled, held or picked up. She will strike out if held. She enjoys getting brushed and head and chin scratches.

Story
Meet Jacques — A Shy Little Helper with a Heart of Gold Just like her Finding Nemo namesake, Jacques is a super shy but sweet kitty who quietly observes the world before lending her gentle support. She’s looking for a quiet, indoor-only home where patience, calm routines, and gentle encouragement help her feel safe and confident.Jacques may be okay with quiet teens who respect boundaries, but one thing is non-negotiable: other friendly cats are a MUST HAVE. Having feline friends helps her feel secure as she slowly navigates her new surroundings. She’s unsure about dogs, so a calm, peaceful reef is best. Jacques will need lots of extra time to adjust and truly bond, but once she does, her sweet and playful nature shines.Jacques’ Ideal Reef Setup:Plenty of comfy hiding and napping spotsCat trees, scratching posts, window perches, and shelves for exploring safelyTons of toys, especially interactive and catnip-filled onesFavorite Things:Treats, wet food, catnip, and calm companionshipIf your home has patient, friendly feline “tank mates” and a lot of love to give, Jacques is ready to just keep swimming her way into your heart.

Story
Meet Sophie – A Sweet Senior with a Gentle, Loving Heart! Sophie is a shy but sweet, cuddly senior kitty who’s looking for a quiet, indoor-only home where she can relax, feel safe, and enjoy her golden years at her own pace. She loves cozy comforts and calm companionship and will happily soak up affection once she trusts you.She seems okay with visiting kids who are mature and respectful, but she’s not looking to live in a busy household with children. Sophie once had a special kitty friend she loved, though how she’ll feel about other cats is unknown—she may do best as your one-and-only or with very careful, slow introductions. No dogs, please—she prefers a peaceful, dog-free home.Sophie’s Perfect Setup:Plenty of comfy hiding spots and soft nap zonesCat trees and scratching posts for gentle stretchingWindow perches for sunbathing and quiet bird-watchingTONS of toys, especially interactive ones and catnipFavorite Things:Treats, wet food, catnip, cozy naps, and gentle cuddle timeImportant Medical Note:Sophie is FIV-positive, which affects her immune system and means she can get sick more easily. With good indoor care, regular vet visits, and a low-stress environment, many FIV+ cats live long, happy lives. If you have a calm home and a soft spot for senior kitties who just want love and comfort, Sophie would be honored to spend her golden years with you.
